Edit: Managed to make it to land with 5hp as I watched my boat sink because I hammered my anchor in a panic, wondering if it would let me put down the firepit. It didn't. This exact problem here (the overheating) is the major reason I fear trying to sail during Volcano Season in Shipwrecked. You can't put ANYthing on those boats (fine, a torch and/or sail. shut up. : P), so your choices are: Find land and slap an endo fire down as soon as you land or...don't! And die. Anyway. I had to turn coconuts that were gonna be food, into a raft. (This old one with the birds of the world farm, the house mod and legion crops), was happy to see it worked fine and had no issues with retrofitting. Considering out of my current stable mod worlds, this is the one I've made the most progress in for RoT(having done pearl's quest, beaten crab king, set up the moon altar and tribute, etc) I figured this would be the world with the highest likelyhood for me to get caught up with the latest RoT stuff. (This is that one world where I was stupid and thought I didnt have a metheus setpiece, then later found out I was an idiot.) (The last time I posted anything related to this world was page 82 of this thread!) Everything is working fine, my friend who joined this world before and I played for about 15 ingame days, heres a few screenies I took of some of the old stuff I had set up and also me checking out the new lunar grotto and ancient archives. I made sure to get a moon caller staff during this session on the full moon that happened while my friend went and got the figure sketches from the marble statues I repaired during an earlier winter. So making progress again in this world towards actually getting the whole lot of it done again. Until then, it's been nice having at least one world that works with this update. Mike23Ua Posted October 24, 2020 Share Posted October 24, 2020 Spoiler I promised Klei a Hallowed Nights Screenshot last year that ultimately turned out lost because the world was Reset, I only managed a Small Screenshot in 2019.. and while nothing I ever do will compare to some of these Amazing Scenes, here It is as promised. It won’t be an Entire world that’s been Spookified -so I hope you aren’t disappointed. I built this in a world where I was experimenting with World Gen Settings, so It had to be built in the process of having Random Weather Seasons & Season lengths- Meteor Showers, More Deerclops & Bearger then I ever wanted.. And way more hounds then I should’ve had on (remind me to set those to less) I’m certainly not bragging- I died ALOT like ALOT ALOT, Even had the entire Halloween setup Destroyed at least twice once by Deerclops spawn, once by a long nasty Meteor Shower- BUT.. luckily this time I knew how to Use Rollback to restore progress. I hope this was worth the wait for you guys, unfortunately I didn’t get some of the things I needed to really make this scene as epic as I wanted it to be.. I wanted some type of Craftable tombstone, and some gothic memorial fences- But I guess there’s always a future year for that! Ever Since the Stollen Heart skin for the Telltale heart was added to the game for Valentines Day I had been wanting to do this graveyard set up, where it looked like Zombie hands reaching out of the graves grabbing onto their own beating pulsing hearts. The Hard part was finding a large enough Graveyard set piece & perfect timing for a Full Moon night. I wanted to do more to this but, I figured it’s better to post this NOW instead of risk losing all this progress and have nothing left to show for it. @JoeW, @JanH, @nome @Jason @CharlesB (I don’t know the rest of the devs to ping them.. (I had a winter hat in my inventory; the reason I wasn't wearing it was because I had it off when I crafted the earmuffs just to learn how to make them, in case I ran out of other stuff, so of course the earmuffs popped into existence on my head. Then I _still_ had them on when I set out that day and was too lazy to stop and switch back. Lol.) Turned out we had a longer winter than usual that year and I had no idea WHEN Deerclops was gonna show up, so here we are camping out by a forest of giant spruce trees that it wouldn't matter too much if they got knocked down...because. At any rate, it's a pretty picture. Never DID get to do anything actually....beta-y, while on the beta branch, since I was stuck the whole time attempting to relocate my camp/rebuild in the middle of winter. I prioritize basic land survival over optional ocean and island puzzles. And then the beta ended. First thing Wendy saw after coming back from the beta...was this: Have a proper 2020 welcome back, Wendy! XD (I love how I actually caught the kitty going "HISS!" and poofing up the tail, this time. GOOD KITTY. Never did figure out where the beep that pipspook was tryin'a lead me.) Spoiler No kidding, I mentioned this to my mom ("It's raining frogs!") and her response was "It's 2020, of COURSE it is!" XD In case anybody here wonders where I got my sense of humour... (She DID understand that I meant "in Don't Starve", don't worry.) Technically Wendy didn't actually "come back from the beta"; she was the one I was playing as on the beta branch and then as soon as I got back to her MAIN branch world, frogs _and_ hounds happened. But it sounded funnier the other way. "Welcome back!" (FROGS) Then THANK GOODNESS, that command worked and I was able to get back onto my main world after all! and guess what? It just turned A YEAR OLD today! Happy Anniversary, Starvania! (My screenshots that have "Day 1" in the corner are dated on Steam as October 25, 2019, so...) The other sign there is the "helpful sign" that tells newcomers to grab an axe, chop a tree, light a firepit, and not die. (If they show up at night or in summer/winter.) But that's not the end of my good news for today. Lookie what Willow got in a present...that she opened by her new (and unnecessary, lol) science machine: This! My first Maxwell head EVER and it's one of my very favourites. Willow, Charmander the Kittykit, and Table couldn't be more pleased although...I'm not sure exactly HOW I would "use now".
