My thoughts, exactly, I was thinking of dreadstone formations that shatter when hitting the ground and have a small chance to drop dreadstone. We already have it with gems and marble which may or may not shatter. Why did they pull those boulders out of nowhere is something I still don't understand.

IS IT POSSIBLE . to make the new nightmare scythe to harvest grass without triggering the grass gecko spawning? 

on a related note , can the harvesting cbe redirected to the inventory directly?

Hummmmm, tbh not sure this is the best solution. This is late game content. It's kinda like make deerclops or bearger avoid structures (which is early game content)... Doesn't make sense to me.

Thank you for trying! Was a cool idea, but understand this could get super complex. Edit: might be cool to just to use the base players face instead of trying to fit it with every head skin's eyes.

I guess we now now that they at least became shadow creatures like Terrorbeaks, Resting Horrors, Ancient Herald and also... a tool, I guess.

There really isn't much purpose for the umbrella if the void armor provides full acid rain protection. I'm not sure that's the ideal direction to go.

Especially because... isn't the whole idea to wear the Brightshade gear to fight shadow monsters?

Similar concerns with the boulders. I said it before but I don't want less problems, I want more solutions. The boulders remain an addition that don't add a whole lot other than mining tedium. I'm frankly not really sure what the point is. At least acid rain gives us a boost in nitre from ponds and bats.

The talking scythe & NWP statue are cool.

As a whole though, I'm very concerned now that the cave mechanics are going to wind up half baked. I do understand you're on a schedule but the solutions chosen here are very simple, mundane, and don't provide a lot of fun 'counterplay' wiggle room.

Klei is only on a Schedule because they put themselves on that schedule- I remember when betas use to last an ENTIRE YEAR before they came to my console platform..

Its Klei that put themselves on this crunch schedule, and it’s Klei who can choose to have longer betas before full releases.

What beta lasted an entire year? I remember DST always having pretty frequent updates. In fact, DS also began with a couple month long update cycle.

Consoles didn't always get updates in sync with pc.  They often had to wait a long time before they received the patch to catch them up.  Mike plays exclusively console, so that has been their experience.

Fantastic update! I do have a few suggestions though 

1.) A bone armor and helm that has been combined with the dark tatters to make them have the effects of both (minus the protection of the void set) that can be refueled with pure horror

2.) A ability of the shovhoe that can make a line of tilled spots in a farm tile (would take more durability of just tilling)

3.) Refuleable bright shade tools (not the weapons) and the shadow scythe with pure brilliance and pure horror respectively

4.) An item that can close lunar and shadow rifts made with dark tatters and pure horror for the lunar one and bright shade husks and pure brilliance for the shadow one.

5.) More shadow craftables (I don’t have many ideas but one that came to mind was one that can summon shadow creatures with nightmare fuel to help in battle)

6.) Buff the scythes damage when insaine 

that’s all I can think of for now (some of these I wrote in an earlier post but I added some new ones if this is considered spam I will only post new ideas)

wtf bro was an ancient living bug but now bro became sentient scythe? reminds of that adventure time episode where Finn becomes sentient sword or something

Btw I like how much detail Klei put in this update, but... Moon side kinda feels way less intresting and unique.

Hope Klei will do something about it, maybe add some tools from Wagstaff Dont Starve himself? We are helping him, not Moon after all, unlike shadow route where we help Charlie who is a Shadow Quenn. Wagstaff dont starve is too based to be someone elses pawn

I'm just waking up so let me get my things in order.

1. Werepig statue is awesome. Probably my favorite, it looks super dumb, which I think is cute and fitting. Empty eyes...

2. Acid rain being nerfed is absolutely heartbreaking. I wanted more ways to combat it than the damage itself being hard nerfed. Woe.

3. The Shadow Reaper is absolutely the edgiest thing I've seen in a while. This update is sort of full of that edgy gimmick but honestly? I'm kind of drawn to just how absurd it is. It's super goofy.

4. Shadow cowl... yeah, sorta saw this coming. I voted against them removing the faces, I promoted some ideas to help mod characters out but they were just a *mess* in their current state. Unfortunate to see those assets scrapped for now but I think this is the right call.

5. The boulder nerf is funny but weird. Good it doesn't destroy structures but also kind of awkward in that sense.

Still hoping the brightshade helmet will provide protection from miasma damage, otherwise it defeats the point of giving sandstorm immunity if a torch not only gets rid of the move speed penalty but also the damage.

Scythe talking is cool imo, but kinda weird since it can break. With Lucy she never breaks so you always know it's the same Lucy, but how does the Scythe work? Is it a conscious that inhabits the scythe whenever it's crafted? Is it a different conscious every time?
