minespatch Posted December 24, 2018 Share Posted December 24, 2018 I scrambled with this one because despite me usually like to quickly doodle the challenge and finish it a week later, this felt important. Especially for the first stream of 2019. My favorite don't Starve creature is the antlion, so thought it'd be fun to bring in the other favorite characters and creatures to sleep in the winter desert night. Thunderbirds remind me of owls, so the bird gets to be on the special winter feast cactus. I didn't want to leave the devs without nothing, so here's to @nome@JoeW@JanH@AnimatedErica@KrisRF@jouste @jambell Apologies to Rags, Jarret, mei, toni, and the gang. Maybe next year. Art to the klei forum users, facebook friends, and devs. The gift art was accumulating to this big project. So happy to work on this for the last two weeks. It's not as course and rough like newsprint despite being just as smooth to ink on. Then you have the fact people throw it away, so the less wrinkled, the more drawing paper I have to work with. If there was more of the paper at a bigger size, I'd love to use it. Even a fine art convention I went to told me to get receipt paper in a store due to them not carrying that texture.
