WX-78 Refresh Available On Steam, Xbox and PlayStation Today!

A few things to note from the short.

-It starts with a... pig raid? (Hinting at possible future updates perhaps?)

-Wickerbottom bandaging a reluctant Wigfrid, but we all know there are no bandages in DST, how is this possible?

-Winona was not yet working with Wagstaff when WX-78 was created, could a similar fate have awaited her should she had continued to work under him?

-Wagstaff could give Maxwell a run for his money in the evil department.

-Is cannon now that WX-78 no longer has a malfunctioning empathy module, as it was completely crushed.

WX-78 turned out to be quite the tragic character.

Why would that be the case? We are seeing memories from WX's POV, the entire time through, why would that one be Wagstaff's? That would make no sense

Well, to be fair that is just a silhouette, and (do correct me if I am wrong, I haven't laid eyes on a woman since the summer of 1848) women can have short hair.

Wow. This was unexpected and thrilling in equal measure! Wagstaff trying to create a robotic assistant (in his or someone's image..?!). Or a simulacrum..??

More info was added to WX's compendium entry. Perhaps the builddate has something to it?

 

This update is amazing and substantial, and more importantly, it feels both like very old DST (which we still love and feel nostalgic about) and new DST (with everything that happened after Charlie took over, which we have also come to love). Excellent work, Klei! You have our gratitude! <3 <3 <3

I (hope) know this is mostly a joke, but the thing about pronouns is you can kinda use whichever ones you want no matter what. Unless you think all the they/thems in real life look like the fairy odd parents grey blob people?

So, WX is basically Wagstaff's old assistant and it helped in the creation of Wagstaff's portal, zamn, lore going strong with this one.
