Walter & Woby Arrive June 15th!

Recommended Posts

I'm in Europe too, so I think we have to wait until afternoon, because there is 8 hour differences between Europe and Canada. I'm also hyped as the hell.

In the last few days I did read a ton of comment (opinions) on the forum about the characters and reworks and  I absolutely do not understand why they are complaining. This game is NOT a MOBA or a RPG, so the dev does not have to make different classes (like tank, warrior, assassin). I'm (personally) totally satisfied with the characters. I play all of them (at least one game year) and I have to say all of them are a bit different and you have to change your focus, change your playing style.

Probably a lot of you guyz playing alone, or with random players from the internet ( I play with my living mates ) and  I have to say every character can do something for the "society" and can do something for his/her own if you know the ppl who are behind a character.

I'm pretty sure Walter and Woby will make the early game a bit faster for "pro players" (but to be honest to become a pro you just have to read the whole wiki site) and will make the early and mid game interesting and intense for the beginners (non-agro ranged attack). He can save team mates (freeze shoot, without having a ice-staff) and a slow-shoot maybe just for fun, and lets experiment with this one.

So all in one, please do not complaining about a free stuff. It is a gift! And I'm sure they will rework it a little bit, just because you guyz are complaining (as always they make reworks. Remember Wendy rework? to be exact the Wendy's HP based bonus dmg for Abigel)

Stay Safe!

I'm not a clock connoisseur or anything, but from some draft back on past "new character" releases we can expect Walter between 6:00 - 8:00 PM CEST, of course time zones linger in this aswell as new year considering that all previous characters were released in 2019. Taking notice it should be somewhere around 7:00 - 10:00 PM, but that's just somewhat of my close-up to this. Feel free to correct me.

Basically everyone in the forums can relate

Honestly, it's kind of funny how much hype we have over this game getting new content even if it's just something simple. Like it's weird but suprisingly wholesome, and it makes me glad that we have a whole community of people to celebrate with rather then just myself...I still remember my reaction when I started squealing over a Quality of life update and that was all I needed for the day! Remember the Wurt hype when we thought she was coming in a week early and we kept refreshing and looking at @JoeW account for activity? :wilson_ecstatic:

I can totally agree with you! and I think many of you on the forum are just waiting for this new content.

As I know the Steam has to "check" the update before we can download it, so it may take some time as well.

BTW According to Steam, Griftlands Early Launch is on 15th, but they already launched it (before 15th, yesterday), so I hope they read the forum and notice our hyped mental activity and release it earlier :)

And I was thinking about China and the East Asia. They have to wait much more then in Europe. They will get it on 16th?

Steam storefront doesn't update until 10 AM Pacific time, so it's safe to assume we shouldn't expect it before then.

But either way could one of the devoted page refreshers please ping me the moment the update drops? I want to be right on top of tearing all the new stuff apart. :wilson_goodjob:

I hope that Walter will still lose sanity from eating monster meat, Deerclop's eyeball, rot, etcetera, despite not being scared of anything (because it makes sense that eating yucky stuff makes you feel uneasy). Hopefully we are mere moments away from finding out how a character who relies on ranged attacks will spice up the dynamics in DST. Soon, soon, soon.:D

I don't think he'll lose sanity from eating monster meat...but he'll definitely lose sanity from the health loss it causes. :wilson_curious:

"not being scared" most likely only affects auras
