Hello. You seem like a respectful person, so I don't think I'll need to remind you to respect everyone's opinion.

Spoiler

Wait, there's too many people who've voted on this poll. I don't have the time to waste on updating this list.

Oh yeah I didn't mean anything mean nor malicious towards @SinancoTheBest. They were just unfortunate enough to give the wrong answer in the second question.

The character I dislike the most is Webber. I just don't like them, though they do look cool, I'll give them that.

I think it has to do with their playstyle. Just very bland. Plus spider shrieks start getting annoying quickly.

Wilson for me personally his personality and design are kinda boring it's iconic but that doesn't mean it is interesting, I don't dislike him he is just kinda meh to me.

Honorable mention pre-rework Wolfgang, their personality and design is so typical, there is nothing added to the box standard strongman archetype, and his playstyle is kinda boring it has no complexity, but after the reworks, I like that they add the extra spice that they add to him as a character and make his playstyle more complex.

Scouts are a scam, that's the truth. I was part of scouts and got kicked out for being bullied. (It might have had something to do with fighting back the assholes, no one will ever know...)

Other than that i would have picked no one. But it wasn't an option, so an old grudge it is.

The rate at which a certain type of player picks Wurt, Webber, and WX is so high that I legitimately can not see the characters for themselves any more and permanently associate them with those players. No other characters come remotely close.

Its mostly because of lag but i dislike characters that are encouraged to have a lot of followers when 99% of servers can't handle that, so Webber.

If you have a Webber on the server and he has a large spider army, he accounts for 3-4 players with how many resources he drains from the server.

I also dislike spiders and i manage them on every world i plan to play for a longer period, i wait until spider dens become tier 3 and i go on massive killing spree and remove all the spider dens on the whole map and i just make my own managed spider farms.

Spiders spread like plague and the longer you wait the more of them are there and if there are Webber players they just speed the process up, try going 1000-2000 days without killing them and walk by so that spider queens spawn and expand and you'll see how difficult it would be to remove them.

Warly and Walter for me. I really don't like their downsides and they feel very unsatisfying to play. Walter – Slingshot is underwhelming for both damage and utility, small stomach is one of the worst things ever, and you lose a truckload of sanity for getting hit. All of that for what, 9 inventory slots and a pseudo-beefalo?

Warly – His diet is way too restrictive for me when I usually cook several of the same food item in a batch. Being forced to use different foods (or nothing but meaty stews?) doesn't sit right with me. Because he can't even spam the same food to heal, he has even less healing options than Wormwood. And I have a personal hatred for this character because his jelly does not work on morning star. I don't even switch to him to make peppered powdercakes, I'm too lazy for that.

Chose "I dislike their playstyle", but probably should've chosen "They're tedious".

Huh? The repeat penalty starts out extremely mild which means u can repeat 2-3 of the same dish without losing much effectiveness. If thats still not enough u can use salt seasoning on high HP dishes to increase their effectiveness and minimize the loss of effectiveness from repeating.

3 pierogi for wilson: 120 healing

3 pierogi for warly: 40+36+32=108 healing

3 salted pierogi for warly: 50+45+40=135 healing.

on top of this Warly has garlic spice to take less damage and VG jelly and chili spice to end fights faster.

Saying Warly has less healing options than Wormwood has to be one of the craziest things ive ever read on the forums and thats saying a lot.

Yeah, perhaps that was an overexaggeration. It's just that Wormwood also has fertilizers to heal. I really liked using compost wraps.

What type of player is that, asking for a friend.

emmm warly can heal from food and items while wormwood only from items...plus warly doesnt need that much healing as other characters

actually, 90% of the time i recover hp from honey ham and 15hp from meat stew

i hate wwendy, i am soundsensitive and her voice is terrible for me

i hate wx because hes kind of not so friendly

i hate wormwood because most wormwood players i have encountered are this weirdly boss that looks down on the others

i hate wanda because she realy dit not need a damage combat perk

In terms of gameplay, there's not much reasons for Willow to exist. Most of her perks barely affect the way one plays. She's useful for farming nightmare fuel, has a situational lighter and that's about it. There's already a lot of ways to quickly amass nf as other characters, they're just come a bit later in the game.

Wortox's face just looks horrible. Even a bit disturbing, I'd say. The gameplay is still meh, but it's somewhat around the level of other characters, so I won't complain about him specifically.

She didn't need the rift watch, imho

Is it bad I legitimately don’t really know who I would pick? I would have picked Wurt, but her rebalance in the rework actually puts her in a pretty good spot. I do like Walter’s niches, even if he could have some improvements. The other characters have pretty good with their perks and can survive alright, even if they could use some improvements.

I guess Winona would be my pick? She’s not inherently bad and in fact she is quite good, but I do feel out of all the characters she has the least used potential. With only 4 structures total and 2 being power gen ones, it leaves a lot of untapped potential that would be neat to see realized for her one day.

I main Wurt and in reality she really didn't have much going for her, and what she did have wasn't great, she could atleast get a decent buff to her stats for food once king was up. She is much more viable now, frog friendliness is just a cherry on top.

I personally picked Wanda, I haven't played her more than a few seasons but I've seen her gameplay and I honestly don't like it..her upside is hugeeee idc what anyone says..she is a glass Canon, with tons of utility, tied with Warly imho in that regard. Only downside is she is locked behind a pay wall and not noob friendly. I feel she is in the spot Wolfgang used to inhabit

I picked Wendy but not because she's bad, quite the opposite actually. I just feel playing her makes everything too easy and the people that learn the game with her from the start will have a ton of difficulties adapting to any other character.
I once met a Wendy player who told me: "I play Wendy because I don't really know how to play the game, but with Wendy it makes me look that I know what I am doing"

I don't like to play as Wormwood either. Nothing bad about him, as a matter of fact I appreciate dedicated Wormwoods on the server since they usually solve much of the server's food needs. Even though I know most of the ways to overcome it and can do it efficiently, I don't like having to deal with his con.

Also worth mentioning: Walter's not bad, just needs some heavy rebalance in his slingshot. if they do in a future QOL change, I'm sure a lot of people would play him and really start appreciating what he offers.

Walter.

I can go on and on about his perks and flavor perks and his playstyle or whatever else it is that other people have run into the ground but what bugs me the most about him is his design, visual wise.

A lot of new characters have been breaking the trend of characters having a lot of red in their pallet and generally only consisting of a select few colors but he is an offender that digs into me a bit.
Additionally his voice is cute, I liked it, but it gets seriously grating after a bit. His smile bothers me too. He's one of the few cast members to be stuck in a permanent smile and while I get its part of his character I just was never fond of it.

I also want to point out that he just... doesn't look like his animated short-self... at all...
unknown.png

I rather like his animated appearance a lot actually!
He's a well kept lean scout-like kid. His hair is also something I felt was more fitting for DST's art style. It's very "shapely"! You can cut it up into shapes. It's almost Charlie-like, actually. A lot of the cast you can cut up into pieces and instantly know who you're looking at when it comes to their hair and you could've done the same with the animated short one.

TLDR: There's a lot about Walter that irks me playstyle wise but his design is what leads me to not like him entirely.
I myself am just simply not fond of the overly cheery go-lucky tone, his voice is cute but can get annoying quick, and his visuals are a stark contrast that's really hard for me to ignore.
Again this is all 100% opinion, you don't have to agree!

His personality feels like a Cheerful Webber to be honest with suicidal interest into danger.

...how did they... oh my  :D

well to be perfectly honest I skim-read the second question as ~Did you pick one survivor; and I was like I would never, I'll always pick multiple options when I'm provided with them; but it turns out the question was exactly the opposite
