Hallowed Nights and QOL Update Coming This Thursday!

Hey Everybody, 

Just a quick heads up that this Thursday we will be updating the game with the QOL improvements that have been on the test branch as well as turning on the Hallowed Nights seasonal event!

As many of you know, we had something different lined up for this month, but due to needing a little bit of extra time we rescheduled that for next month and added a bonus QOL update in its place. 

The patch notes are pretty substantial, but the highlights include:

  • Server admins and local hosts can now pause the game.
  • Chat now has a history of the last 100 messages and persists between the character select screen, forest, and caves.
  • Added profanity filtering. This can be disablled in the options menu or configured in your Steam Community Content Preferences. 
  • All creatures can now be affected by buffs
  • The Bee Queen Crown, Bone Armor, Bone Helm, Shadow Thurible, and Spiderhat can now be deconstructed.
  • Growth Formula Starter and Composting Bin now require an Alchemy Engine to prototype.
  • Reduced the ingredients for crafting the Premier Gardeneer Hat and Moon Rock Walls
  • Improved the Pick/Axe's durability and damage.
  • Moongleams and Infused Moon Shards now take longer to spoil.

In addition there will also be new skins and a new set of streaming drops. The Monstrous Horror skin for the Shadow Manipulator will be added to the Nautical collection!

And finally, we'll have a tiny bit of info on that thing that's coming up next month.

because it was a weird change and then changed again and then changed back so i think it was kinda funny

Wilson needs to finish his degree in journalism, invent the TV, build radio masts and interview the cookbook about how it felt having its essence shifted from a carrot to a morsel and a mushroom and back to a carrot before publishing a biography about it.

The Bee Queen Crown gives 4 Honeycombs, 4 Bees, a couple of Royal Jelly and a bit of Honey.

Bone Armor and Bone Helm give you 10 Bone Shards each, plus some Nightmare Fuel.

Shadow Thurible and Spider Hat give you the finger.

4 honeycombs from each BQ crown is Absolutely Interesting, especially when you start having them pile up and when most honeycomb sources otherwise are really slow. The other deconstruction targets are not exactly unique, though.
