I believe it's because the beta creates a new folder in your documents/Klei folder which doesn't exist until after the first time you open the game. Aye, the new folder is called "DoNotStarveTogetherBetaBranch". I recommend renaming your old ReturnOfThemBeta folder to this instead so your settings are preserved and don't run into this issue. This was exactly what I wanted, more foliage, more mobs, more tree types. I’m glad they aren’t just copy & pasting from those expansions either: But rather taking the good elements and improving/modifying upon them. I absolutely love the hanging vines pulled from Hamlet.. can’t wait to see them in game!
