QuartzBeam
This is probably old news to most of you, but if you are playing as any of Woodie's wereforms, werepigs are neutral to you and provide excellent defense against hounds. It is an incredibly situational perk to be sure, but it did save my skin that one time where I had been attacked by hounds during a full moon and I was stuck as the Werebeaver. 13 2
ShadowDuelist
Old trees (trees that are in the phase where a single swing of the axe breaks them, leaving only a stump and a pinecone) have the same chances of summoning a treeguard than a fully grown tree, so if your point is to get treeguards, you should target those first and save time. Wickerbottom has the added advantage of being able to move the trees to any desired age, with her applied horticulture book. She can either kill the trees herself for faster treeguard summoning, or pair up with Woodie and Lucy, who already have a much higher chance to spawn treeguards, for even faster results. I'd just go for the totally normal trees (or Wormwood, of course) But I understand your point, I've had really weird happenings on tree guards summoning, like trees that become a treeguard immediately after they've been chopped, or a tiny forest that pops 6 treeguards at the same time, and another that after killing the entire forest as human Woodie, gives me just one. I think the RNG side of treeguards spawning is what makes it too unreliable. Edited October 12, 2020 by ShadowDuelist

In other world, day 6 and get 2... The good thing is that we dont waste that many living logs at the same time, we have tiempo to fight rng before runing out (unless you are doing hard cost decorations or whatever)

Treeguard's spawn rate does not scale with day count. They won't spawn on the first 3 days, but after that, you have a consisten 1.33% chance to spawn a treeguard when any evergreen is felled. 6
wigfrids hat
if you have a stupid amount of time you can cut down trees as a ghost in endless mode. one haunting=one axe swing as an added bonus treeguards cant hurt you when you are dead so you can get more than one if your world is past day 80 XD
Mike23Ua
I may have already said this one before.. but if you Realllllyyy just don’t want to fight Deerclops or Bearger (and because my worlds have them showing up so often I’m sick of them due to my world settings) Then you can build a Boat and paddle it just out of range of their attacks and you can stand on said boat attacking them with Fire/Ice Staffs till they are dead all without ever having to worry about them wrecking up your base! :) (it’s kinda OP actually.. Klei should Nerf)

Make sure to clear the island of any anenemy that may be there, just in case. As long as he is not actively killed he never despawns, and since he can't leave the island, you can consider him on vacations forever. 8 1

FuriousChimera
Pig king also accepts monster meat jerky, egg, bat wing but does not take frog leg for some reason. Webber, Wurt and Wortox can be friend with maximum to 9 pigs/bunnies by using one man band. Edited October 13, 2020 by FuriousChimera

ryvrdrgn14
Build a boat beside your fishing spot and fill it with tins to permanently store all your fish. The fire pump on the boat has a 7+ range so if you build it at the edge of the boat near land, it can put out fires on land objects. You can put 6 Winona catapults on a boat if you want them to be mobile. You can build like 3 of these and position 18 catapults anywhere beside land and kit enemies to it.
Duck986
For those who don't watch GlermzTV (like me) - if you wear this new Milk Hat (kelp fronds + electric milk + Naked Bat's nose + filler in a cookpot) as a Wolfgang at full belly, your hunger won't go lower than 298. Milk Hat passively regens your hunger, if someone doesn't know. Edited October 17, 2020 by Duck986 update 12 1
Tuesday Pidgeon
So I was playing on one of my worlds with Maxwell when I noticed this. The boulders the Antlion drops into the caves during summer can stack on top of each other. They even have different quotes for "unstacked" and "stacked" boulders. It doesn't have any effect on gameplay, but it's a nice little detail that Klei took their time to add.

Yep, there was another pile of boulders that aren't in the screenshot. When I was rearranging them, one of the falling boulders very unfortunately killed one of my shadows. 1

Owlrust
The new Mush Cake crockpot recipe can prevent you from being slowed by Klaus' blue gem deer during their attack since it counts as grogginess. Furthermore, it does the same for the Weremoose when it rams into something that isn't an enemy and you suffer from grogginess.

ArubaroBeefalo
Spoiler Im founding so useful to craft an ice staff for ruins cleaning so you can kill bishops couples tanking only 1. Also it helps to kill monkeys and is useful to have a crowd control to fight enemies spawned by hammered pseudoscience stations Ice and fire staff hits shadows but doesnt apply any effect (no danger of burning the base). Is useful when you want to save a friend or make them respawn outside another enemy range (like happens with crawling horror with deerclops or worms) Fire staff is underrated imo, it can bring a good amount of damage against raid bosses. So good against bee queen when you have to wait to hit her, just fire her in the mid time. The only thing is to stop using it near of the end of the fight (easy when the boss itself tells you how much hp is left like toad or beequen) Ice staff helps a lot against spider queen when spawns spider warriors non stop. Freeze her and kill the warriors Ice staff also works to calm down treeguards. After being unfreeze they will forget being mad at you As woodie in weremoose form you can kill any amount of spiderqueens as long as you dont finish the rush inside their atack range. Start the rush near of them so you stop far away making aoe damage to all

I don't know where you got all that from, but the Mushy Cake doesn't do any of those things. Mushy Cake resets your grogginess the moment it is eaten and it raises your sleep resistance from the default 3 to 13. This does not make you immune to becoming groggy after you've eaten the cake, it just increases how much grogginess you can accumulate before you fall asleep. Edited October 21, 2020 by QuartzBeam found out Mushy Cake adds to your sleep resistance instead of replacing it 13 3 1

Mike23Ua
When Wendy got her Refresh she also became the best character in the game to Passively and without resource/food costs to The other Players.. both Raise and also Lower other none Wendy players Sanity. To Raise their Sanity Passively- Just build Sisturn and have them Stand Beside it while it’s filled with Flower petals. to passively LOWER Sanity as any Non-Wendy character, just go find Wendy’s exclusive Pipspook Mob and stand directly under it. As someone who has played ALOT of Willow... Pipspook are a little known blessing in disguise that can save Willow food resources/weapon durability.
