Most Satisfying Thing for you in DST?

Recommended Posts

What things put a real smile on your face when you play this game? Living a whole year? Creating a pig army? Having good teamwork with other players?

For me I'd say the most satisfying thing is one-shotting spiders as Wolfgang. Just one swing and CRUNCH, it's dead. Invading spider biomes and having monster meat and silk litter the floor puts a big smile on my face.

What about you?

Roving around during winter on a server with excessive amounts of Walruses and supplying everyone with canes.
.....
Assuming that 5 don't camp the cave exit.

Also, on the rare occasion that a multi-person base stays organized, it's really satisfying.

It's just... ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

That's definitely 2nd on my list, right after luring a giant into group of dense spider dens

Then I must be a satisfying person to be around considering I frequently use ol' Maxwell. Although I have to agree with you. It is nice seeing a Maxwell or Wes that knows what they're doing.

As Webber: While everyone at base is starving or starting to complain about the lack of food, coming back with a full stack of monster meat and ice, and start making meatballs for everyone.
As Waxwell: getting a stack of nightmare fuel.
As Wickerbottom: Being Wickerbottom. seriously she's fookin awesome

Similar to others, one of my favourite things in this game is any time I can just let one dangerous thing take care of another FOR me!  This includes giants into a spider forest or angry beefalo herd, pigs beating up hounds, and frog rain taking out the Goose Goose.  In one of my recent worlds, we had one of those near the camp, but she was constantly battling the killer bees who were always there 'cos beebox, AND the nearish-by frogs from a pond!  Basically, all of Spring was so busy beating _itself_ up, it couldn't even pay attention to us player characters!  It was awesome.

On more routine notes...I gather stuff all the time, stuff that others often neglect to.  So when somebody quite frequently asks if I have any grass/twigs/flint/rocks and I do, that's satisfying.  Wading into a spider den as Wigfrid and possibly soloing a queen.  Going out on a long trip in the winter and coming back with lots of previously-unpicked mushrooms and berries--just add all that monster meat we keep getting from the dog attacks, and voila!

And building stuff. In general.  :)

The surprised remarks of every single person on the server when I use 'The End is Nigh!'

For example "What the ****??" or "OH MY GOD"

I think the best part about it is the sound. Like you're walking, minding your own business, suddenly lightning sounds.

Finishing a huge, content-heavy mod.

O__O

So I assume you haven't been satisfied yet :^ )

What is most satisfying is creating a huge pig farm that took me years in game to make and reading 5 on tentacles books and watching hundreds of pig skins go into my inventory while i have the lazy forager equipped with a  walking cane while before hand planting down thousands of cobblestones for extra movement speed, oh is it nice having a few hundred football helmets and jerkies laying around living inside my base expanding it from the inside out while my telocater focus is at my reed trap ready to harvest more books for success while my partner fills up another telocater back at base so i can instantly get back with a few hundred reeds from the swamp then go on to continuously kill the dragonfly in order to get my orange gems for my lazy forgers with all the pig helmets and ham bats i have.. oh is it nice..
