That seemed to be what the first ROT trailer implied. That a huge land mass fell into the ocean. Wormwood is a tiny particle of the moon, hence his chest gem. GetNerfedOn Posted January 22, 2020 Share Posted January 22, 2020 The devs mention Charlie turning her attention to the Moon, so it may be assumed she must have played a part in the moon's fragmentation, whether if she broke it or tried to prevent it's breakage. Or the entire Return of Them plotline revolves around Their influence strengthening past the Moon's limits, therefore fragmenting the moon. And Charlie turned her attention there so as to curry their favor.
