Loopy Ouroboros Posted October 6, 2018 Share Posted October 6, 2018 Because those "eyes" you see are actually empty eye sockets, and the factory was experiencing a shortage on optical sensors (and working empathy modules) conveniently when this specific model was being produced. As far as I know about why it still blinks, I still have no idea. Must be some programming oversight, considering that my totally-lore-friendly answer raised more questions than it did answer them. A robot that superficially blinks isn't outside the realm of possibility, especially if the intention of their design is to replicate human behavior. Personally I'm confused as to how Booster Shots work. How does it pierce...their...chassis? How do microorganisms benefit their robotic parts?
