I have spent quite a long time building a boat with all the Twitch drop variations of skins and I THOUGHT the Deck would be simple to just hit with a clean sweeper to change to the new one- but no.. you can apparently only clean sweep a boat kit before placing it? The boat is already made though and fully upgraded with all the boat parts…

Will this be patched or do I need to build a whole new boat and rebuild everything from scratch?

might be a limitation like how we cant change sail upgrades skin once placed

I would really love to be able to reskin boat on xbox. While holding sweeper it only targets the plank or anything on boat. Targeting boats with boat patches and such has always been a pain but with clean sweeper it absolutely refuses to let me target a boat even if there is nothing on it. Spend 5 minutes trying every possible angle and I definitely don't want to have to break my boat with all my good stuff including a houndius shootius on it just to use a skin I paid for.

Not possible to sweep your boat, even on PC. We all mourn our beautiful, skinless boats in silence.

Can someone explain to me in great detail how Accursed Trinkets work?

Like I mean how are they distributed amongst players if I’m playing in a group? Do the necklaces get divided up amongst all the players who are near to the monkeys when they died? Does each player get their own necklace? Does only the player who lands the killing blow get the Necklace?

As a Wendy Main I managed to score a whooping 14 of these necklaces in about 8 seconds or less- but I was playing ALONE so I’m just wondering.. was I given this many Trinkets because there was no one else to divide them amongst?? And had I been playing with other players- Does Abigail getting the final blow give ME all the cursed Trinkets?

If it does then Klei may have just added the biggest downside to Wendy players into the game yet.

Now myself: I’m a slightly above average player with a bit of decent knowledge and adaptability to the game- I have absolutely no problem playing as WES however- for the people who play Wendy just because they quite literally aren’t good enough at the game to play anyone else… turning into a Monkey and losing all of what makes Wendy well Err.. Wendy is probably the worst punishment those players can endure.. and it’s not just about losing Abigail’s aid in combat- Wendy also had a higher Sanity threshold than Wonkey so it was easier to manage sanity with the top hats you could get from mass spider murder sprees with Abby but when the player is forced out of that playstyle and into another- it’s probably the biggest threat the games had added to it in years.

This does NOT mean I want to see the curse Nerfed.. But- I do need some questions answered: Wendy’s role is mostly to Aid and to crowd control groups of mobs- she literally applies a damage buff to anyone who attacks alongside Abigail, so let’s just say An completely noob Wendy player is asked to “Help” in a Pirate Raid when sailing with other players- And this player does so thinking they’re helping when what is ACTUALLY happening is the other players are being cleverly disguised trolls knowing exactly what’s about to happen to that Wendy player when Abby gets her more lovely little necklaces then she could possibly ever ask for.

How does the game handle the killing/distribution of Accursed Trinkets? Do all players near that Wendy when the apes die get Trinkets too? And if they do- wouldn’t that just REVERSE the trolling now the Wendy player is turning everyone else Ape.

Playing mostly solo I don’t have a problem with the moon quay curse- but when it comes to multiplayer….

New questions are brought up such as: How does removal of cursed trinkets work? Does each player need to give Moon Quay Queen their own Banana offerings?? Does She remove necklaces from the whole group that’s near to her when someone gives banana?

How does this work… and more importantly: how do you feel it should work?

are dock pilings purely decoration or do they serve some purpose? regarding ocean trawlers, are you supposed to fill all four slots with bait? what bait catches which fish?

dock pilings are for decoration only.

you don't need to put bait in the trawlers, the fish will still be attracted to it with no bait. With bait the chance of fishes getting caught is higher.

not entirely sure about the final one, too many fishes.

thank you! would you happen to know which bait is ideal for sunfish and icebreams?

How many items do pirate monkeys need to steal before leaving? Is it items total or items per monkey?

And how many bananas? One banana per raid or one banana per monkey in a raid?

10 items. Per the whole raid. But be careful, if there is, for example, a stack of stuff in a chest and they knock it out and take it, they'll take the whole thing.

one banana. but they might sneak a thing or two along with it depending on how things shake out and how your boat is laid out.

Either I’m playing the unpatched version of this game (which is likely due to Xbox getting hotfixes a week or two later) Or there’s a massive glitch with these monkeys.

They ROB ME BLIND.. literally if you step foot on Moon Quay Island they will Rob you of just about everything you own.

20 stacks of poop x2 + whatever else is in your inventory it all goes to the Monkeys.

And I’m no game designer but I’m pretty sure I can guess why-

1- it’s a small island with little room to move around on..

2- It’s got a portal endlessly spitting resources out onto that island- INCLUDING more of these Item stealing Monkeys..

I would like to suggest creative ways to go to the island & trade with Moon Quay Queen without being robbed blind such as:sailing to the island flying their Flag & Wearing a Bandana/Tricone hat and holding a Cutless tricking them into thinking your one of them.

(they’re Monkeys they can’t possibly be too smart..)

Or Perhaps put a hard cap on how much they can steal in that tiny island from you..?

It's nothing complex at all, really.

Kill a monkey, they drop a trinket, this finds the closes nearby player and tries to fly into their inventory.
I believe its entirely radius based, I think they just fly to whoever is nearby.
Doesn't matter how/who/what killed them.

Each player with a trinket wants to give her their own bananas. She only removes trinkets from whoever gave her a banana.
I don't believe there's any AOE.

Does placing a dock on fish destroy them?

And can you place docks on waterlogged water?

placing a dock on a fish appears to eradicate them. You don't get the drops or anything, but they do seem to disappear.

Docks in waterlogged water is complicated. By all means, you're not supposed to be able to. But on the off chance that a waaterlogged biome is close enough to land & shallow w ater, you can kind of sort of get docks in there, but most places inside the waterlogged biome block placement. "waterlogged" ocean isnt a place you can place docks.

Lets say I'm playing with a friend, fighting Malbatross in a boat and they plan to shoot Malba with cannons while I attack with melee. Could I be hit by the cannonballs if I'm in the way or hit by the AoE when it hits Malba?

Also, do cannonballs' impact cause fires?

why cant we steal a pig's house for ourselves?

On popular public servers, other players need access to pig skins. Hammering a pig house makes it so other players can't get more and also it means that the hammerer is hoarding the pig skins that are left. In this way it's like a double edged sword of griefing-lite behavior.
