So, it’s pronounced like Orchid (or-kid)? But with a “sp” in front? *mind blown*. I wonder if I still would have been confused if it were spelled sporchid instead of adding that “e” in there. I've never even encountered this plant in game but I've seen people complain about it zombifying their dups so I assumed the sporechid used mind-control spores to turn dups into their sporechildren.
