To add a bit to my quoted post (appreciated mate). I know people like their wheezewort rooms to be sealed but its unnecessary. I put a door into them from below and it all works out. Unless you screw up your air pressure the hydrogen will stay in the room when dupes visit. If you are sweating "but the dupe will bring heat in!" so what? That just means that bit of heat gets eaten by the worts directly instead of through contact with the pipe/vent you are running through the wort room. Which by the by, is why the tiny amount of heat in the phosphorite doesn't matter. Because the phos would be releasing that heat into your base from storage, which is heat that you would eventually be cooling anyways.

In the end worts have been given a tiny bit more micromanagement and still work just fine.

New Wheezewort became one of the most useless items in the game. I can't see any reason or motivatiob to use them anymore. They are worthless

They're not worthless. The amount of phosphorus they use is so minimal that you shouldn't ever have a problem finding some.  Also, because farm plots are made with dirt, which is a  good temperature buffer, it doesn't matter how hot the phosphorus is, it won't change the ambient temperature noticeably.   Other than having to be able to deliver phosphorus, they work pretty much just like they used to.

You need to see the new content in a global view and not draw conclusions.

You  feel that because you keep your old logic, but with the new patch you will have to think different or you will never go more far than the first asteroid.

But I already found new solutions and new ways to cool things down for my old setups. It's just that I can't see any application for wheezeworts in my CURRENT setups.

Even putting auto-wrangler is not worth the effort. It is easier to make addition to thermo-nullifier than to bother with wheezewrts now.

To clarify, I am not complaining about my old build relying on wheezeworts becoming obsolete, I complain about Wheezeworts being worthless in latest build.

I disagree.  I'm using wheezewarts in two of the maps I've started with different worlds in the testing build.   Are there better solutions? Certainly.  But in both cases the WW were convenient, didn't require research, and didn't require a building project.  I just dropped a couple planter boxes, planted the seeds, and solved my problem.

There was a post in the forum saying that wheezeworts are bugged - they keep 25% efficiency even while being domesticated, also not sure what they absorb - it always says vacuum

And honestly, its not hard to provide phosporite - 2-3 dreckos enough to generate it

Silence heretic! The Order of the Panic Over Wheezewort Change has deemed the situation unsalvageable.

Maps that don't have Dreckos?

Doesnt Dreco spawn in almost any biome included in the map, and they have quite the temp tolerance as well? If not maybe ice maker first and wild WW until you somehow found one or get one from pod. I am sure you will find one in any of the asteroid. I havent explored all the new asteroid, but I do believe Drecko has versatile living environment.

They die quickly in cold. So quickly, I cannot dig to them fast enough to save :( :)))

The wild dreckos I found in Rime tended to die from the cold.  .. but, that said.. I'm not using any wheezewarts in Rime because everything is already too cold.

How much has Wheezewort weakened? They have become much less effective than before. They should now feed with phosphorus.

P.S
By the 198 cycle, opening the entire map, I found only 7 of them. "Excellent patch" which I waited 3 months. My entire base literally overheated, that the plants stopped growing and my duplicates began to die of starvation.
Thank you Klei

Per my testing in hydrogen they provide 1333W of cooling whether domesticated or wild. Previously they provided 12000W (9x).

I'm planting them wild in my current base. These numbers made my eyes bleed. Ignorance can be a bless.

Now I want to uproot them all. :(

A disable delivery for planter boxes farm tiles etc would be nice for ppl that would plant them but never give phosporite and let the plant work at 25% there or just let it be into flower pots again but if into the pot they cant have full potential. The best solution would bring them back to their glory but if its not possible i will just use them modded.
