Same. I keep all the Snake Oil I get in both Hamlet and SW, maybe one day I'll find a good use for it as decorum. Still kind of a bummer that the only way to bring Snakes anywhere is by planting Jungle/Rainforest Trees in the world; we never got that crafted Snake Bush

It's an inventory item, that's why it's floating in the water.

Dowsing is also a fabled way of finding hidden or lost items.
There's a system in one of the Pokemon games based around it, and Dowsing Rods are a thing used by some wannabe treasure hunters.
