Terra B Welch Posted August 21, 2021 Share Posted August 21, 2021 The Ancient Fuelweaver finally falls in Culinary Archipelago, Abigail died at the last second, but the fuelweaver was low enough on that I could finish him off. Took me long enough. Sadly the portal isn't going to be taking the budding chef home, she is saddened by this, Also here's the quotes budding chef says for the destabilizing portal and ruins reset. Obligatory Diablo 2 reference in her bone armor quote. Oh and of course, sculpture! The most important reason why FW had to be defeated. One sculpture remains, and oh boy is it going to require ALOT of prep to pull off, a certain frog with the largest health pool in the game is the next boss that I have to take down. (Yes, I want the napsack for shroom skin duping). Yeah uh... it's gonna be a while before I get to that... But hey, that bone helm sure is nice for farming nightmare fuel! Finally started doing some cherry forest stuff, kinda silly I live on the cherry archipelago and never bothered doing anything cherry forest related on it. I got the daylily follower and made her a home not far from my own, I think I'm gonna grow another one of the big trees close to her to give her the canopy coverage. Obligatory Budding Chef quote that references pig farms. I cook some figatoni while she reads a bloomprint. Lastly, have a picture of my grass gecko pen after I don't check it in a while. I'll refer to it as Twin Isles as the friend made the worldgen two seperate islands(kinda like the two worlds chapter) A couple days before the second three day lights out we had a nice long full moon. Makes me wonder how these winters will be if we ever get the moonstorm event activated. The last dusk for the next 3 days. Day 93 marks the second 3 day lights out of this world. My friend makes a majora's mask reference regarding the fact the lights out is exactly 3 days long. Here's an interesting thing I had happen when the second day of lights out arrived while I was in the lunar grotto, note that I can see the cave clock despite it being night. Eventually we made it through our second 3 day lights out period and dusk reshowed itself. It's spring now in that world, maybe I post more screenies as I play with my friend in it. I think I'm going to add it to culinary archipelago, I found a color combination I liked with it, it's not far off yours, being 3 red 1 blue. Decided to spend summer re-clearing my ruins, as of course Ancient Fuelweaver being killed meant all the stuff in it came back. The bone armor however proved to be a helpful item during the re-clearing. Got worms again during the AG fight, they didn't steal my kill this time. Eventually I finished AG off. AG's loot this time, oh boy another thulecite club to throw into the storehouse! I guess the yellow gems are nice, would rather greens though. There's not too many screenshots of the ruins clearing, it's just the same old killing clockworks, mining statues and hammering broken clockworks, just with the bone armor helping me use less healing salves. There is an item however that I've kinda neglected getting, an item from Additional Equipment that I should consider getting a couple of for some useful items, the thulecite battery, which as you can see by the recipe, requires a shadow pieces kill for every battery I want. Eventually it got close to the end of summer, All the thulecite and gems I gathered were stored in the chest at metheus and I headed home. As I got back home, autumn arrived. I guess this chest is just for AG horns, deerclops eyes and bearger fur now, I should really consider a panic room in place of tooth traps, but I've been lazy. All my down feathers I've been storing into the storehouse. (I actually want to get alot of down feathers for the toadstool fight later, weather pains are a must as I don't plan to use the moon glass axes or honey crystals.) That's all for now, not sure what I'll do for autumn, maybe work on my roads? Or maybe get more knobbly tree nuts for my home area? I know one thing for sure is I want to get a few HoF seeds ready for Winter, as I've been working on getting giant crops for all the HoF crops now to add to the produce scales. After hauling 6 of them back I planted one near the dayliling, I wanted her to have some canopy coverage! Also planted another near the grass gecko pen, sadly the pen is too far for canopy coverage. I planted a few more before stopping for the day, then today I played some more, winter arrives and the tree near the dayliling grew. I also got all the Heap of Foods giant crops, added them all to my produce scales. The spoiler is what crops are what. Spoiler The red potato is a Sweet Potato. The green dragonfruit is an Aloe. The pale eggplant is a Parsnip. The white-topped asparagus is a Fennel. The different colored carrots next to the onion scale is a Radish. The purple garlic is a Turnip. The darker colored durian near the corn scale is a Sea Cucumber. That's all the Heap of Foods giant crops. Also I've had the retrieve items from the ocean mod in this world for a while now, I added it in place of re-troubled waters as re-troubled waters broke after the Waterlogged update. Also bone armor has been really convenient, first of all it speeds up clearing this seasonal pest. And it also reduces the damage I end up taking farming the werepigs. To end this series of screenshots off, here's my new enlightened crown color, using 3 red spores and 1 blue spore, I've added the brighter enlightened crown mod as I wanted a vibrant pink crown.
