Terra B Welch
Getting into a dark winter on my friend's modded server. Day 21 - Day is short, dusk too, the sun is leaving us soon... Day 22 - The sun is almost gone, no full daylight, only a brief sliver of dusk time. Day 23 - The sun leaves us for a time, we are left to the darkness... (And I chop trees for the fire) Day 24 - The sun has not returned. Day 25 - The sun has still not returned, Wolfgang is having sanity issues due to the long dark... Day 26 - The sun returns, but only the same sliver of dusk as before the days of darkness. (And I make bread) Day 27 - The daylight returns, but only for a short time, as each day passes though, the sun shows itself longer. So basically from Day 28 onward the nights get shorter, and my friend and I talk about craft pot and a visual derp. We played through the rest of winter and its long nights. Eventually spring arrived, and we're welcomed to spring with some pesky puppy dogs. Even early spring has alot of nighttime. Day 2 of spring still being 50% night. Thankfully 50% night with a full moon gave us plenty of time to kill some werepigs. That's all for friend's world for now, I had to share Winter's gimmick on here. Will post more when I get the chance!

Terra B Welch
Culinary archipelago pics! My first above average tree! Anyone else like it's placement? I honestly thought that spot for it was perfect! Also a few pics of me fighting shadow pieces. (With some nearby pigs joining in.)
Terra B Welch
A couple more culinary archipelago pics before I go to sleep. A cherryling has taken up residence in my storeroom. Also, two more of the big trees! Gotta go back to the biome to get more of the tree nuts, but my fig issues should be more under control once all these trees at home grow! Brubs
I'm going to steal this screenshot from my dearest friend @ShadowDuelist . Even though i was also playing on the same server, i forgot to take a SS. This is the second time after +1500 hours i see Lunar Island attached to the main land. It is also the first (and probably last ) time the Oasis is NEXT to the Lunar Island as well. Crazy worldgen i guess...

Terra B Welch
More culinary archipelago pics. First thing, Heap of Foods updated to allow its crops to work with the reap what you sow farms, meaning the old farms the mod provides are useless entirely now. I decided to grow some sea cucumbers, which can be paired with corn in the same manner as potatoes and tomatos for a crop combo! The dark green durians are sea cucumber crops. Sea cucumbers make cucumber salad, which has been a very nice food item to have especially in spring with the constant downpours. Bearger spawned and immediately had a treeguard on her, what are the odds of that occuring? Oh and here are some pics of the current progress on growing more above average trees around my home. Currently there are 3 knobbly trees in the process of being grown into above average trees, I've got a decent amount of tree jam now that figs are easier to get(since they're growing all around my home.) Winter is coming next time I continue, which likely means a deerclops at the start(she didn't spawn last winter) and me having to do the same pengull spawning I do every winter. Terra B Welch
Screenies of summer in friend's mod world. Firstly, getting some farming started! Summer is basically the one season out of the years that actually has long daytime, which is a nice break from the really long nights that we get from mid-late autumn to mid-late spring. Budding Chef and Wolfgang team up to stomp THE LORDE of the fruit flies. I then go on a tentacle slaughtering spree in an attempt to get two tentacle spots, it took a grand total of 37 tentacle kills to get two spots, RNG was not on my side. I needed tentacle spots for a snorkel, so I could go into the underwater world! While down there I pick up some salt, some iron and some limpets. We're actually using a tweaked version of creeps in the deep, the limpet rocks here are the ones from Heap of Foods, not the ones from Creeps in the Deep. We played till the end of summer, it's the first day of autumn now in that world, where we'll likely kill bearger(maybe farm wood?), but I really want to get to potato farming(Both to keep Wolfgang fed and because potatoes are really useful even for myself). Terra B Welch
More culinary archipelago pics! Winter begins again, with me using deerclops on a hound wave that spawned at the same time. Happened while I was trying to get pengulls to spawn. The knobbly trees grew, the ones I had given jam to before stopping last time, here's how they all look. Also redid the lureplant farm using naval architect tools to make some custom boat shapes. Went back to the waterlogged biome to get more knobby tree nuts, using a vanilla cookie boat to bump the trees instead of my caravel. Caravel was nearby though. This grass gator decided to stand on a raft I left in the biome, just vibing. After getting another 6 knobbly tree nuts I hauled them all back home. Had a message in a bottle reveal a treasure close to home. After spring arrives, I continue planting knobbly trees, heres all the trees I've planted and are currently growing. Gotta do some RWYS farming again next time I play(need more potatoes and onions mainly), can work on putting jam on the trees while I grow crops, but that'll be next time! Muzarello
Only 2 waterlogged biomes spawned for me but I sure stayed there until I had enough nuts, Planted some and others I'm still deciding. The best thing is that I can collect my kelp and Leafy meat without the fear of wildfires, also, figs are cool, Figatoni is great but for sure they are not to be relied on. I might build a little merm community on a boat under the canopy when I change to Wurt. Also, thanks klei!, the new biome is great but the boat changes are soooo goood, Hopefully more biomes or content itself will be added to the ocean, I can't wait! Terra B Welch
Take this post with a grain of salt, this is just a mess around with the Artificial Wilson mod. It's in a spoiler for those who don't care. Spoiler Allow me to tell you all a story of a Wilson, who met a terrible fate at the hands of a murderous barbaric Wigfrid who bludgeons Wilsons to death with a handheld Wilson. The Wilson entered the world and immediately noticed several skeletons, amidst those skeletons was some meat, spiders a battle helm and spear, the Wilson took these items and killed the spiders with the spear, after a short time, he began being stalked. The Wigfrid stalked her prey, watching as the Wilson explored the world and make a fire when night fell. Day 2 arrives, the Wilson collects berries. and fights frogs. and later enters a savannah biome. Wilson gets chased around by merms from a set piece, and later finds a puffy vest on the bones of a former Wilson. Dusk came, the Wilson continues to be stalked by the Wigfrid, but simply tries to ignore her and focuses on survival. The Wilson mines rocks. Then the Wilson makes a science machine, the start of a base. The Wilson throws down their 2nd fire for the night, and then cooks and eats food, all while trying to ignore the stalker Wigfrid. Day 3 arrives, the Wilson continues to gather materials, like grass. Wood and charcoal. As dusk came, the Wilson returned to his camp and set up a crockpot and firepit, he kept the stalker Wigfrid in his peripherals the entire time. Eventually night fell once more, but this time the Wigfrid made her move, the Wigfrid finally decided she was going for her prey. The Wilson saw the Wigfrid coming, and quickly struck her with the battle spear, but after a few successful hits his strikes were thwarted by a sudden barrier around the Wigfrid, the Wigfrid began beating up the Wilson, Wigfrid was out for blood. After having the battle helm break from the repeated blows of the Wigfrid's handheld Wilson, the Wilson realised his situation, when day broke he ran for his life, the Wigfrid hot on his tail. Eventually the Wilson ran into a dead end, caught between the ocean and a spider den. Then the Wigfrid proceeded to land the final blow and kill her prey. And thus, that was the fate of the Wilson who was stalked by a crazy killer Wigfrid. Bludgeoned to death by one of his own. Raise your Fs for this Wilson. Terra B Welch
Gotta end off my day with some more Culinary Archipelago, so here we go. Just a few small pictures, I reorganized my lureplant farm, as custom boats are buggy. So I returfed the area near and made it a lureplant farm, thankfully cherry turf also doesn't allow eyeplants to spawn on it, so it works fine. I also think I've gotten as much of my house under the tree canopies as I could, about 75% of the area around the house is under tree canopies now. This tree at my tooth traps also grew, 3 more trees are still in the process of growing, but shouldn't be too far off now, being on their final stage of jam. Also in the spoiler is some Budding Chef trivia, for those who don't care, just skip it. Spoiler Prior to her budding chef days, her favorite food was Jerky, her custom quotes do reflect this. Of course after becoming a budding chef and gaining a refined pallate, this favorite died off and is no more.

Terra B Welch
So I've been practicing the Ancient Fuelweaver fight on the Budding Chef, mind you I'm basically just going with the Wendy tanking strategy with volt goat jelly(sorry to anyone who wanted a proper fight), The fight has... too much for my brain to process to say the least, at least with the usual solo strategy, I'm just glad to even have a consistent strategy for this boss. At first I used Epic Healthbar for practice fights to get an idea of how quickly I go through FW's health, but later removed the mod to practice without it, since I am not using that mod in Culinary Archipelago. But regardless, heres a couple budding chef quotes related to fuelweaver I wanted to share, took the pictures during some practice fights. This is her battlecry for the Ancient Fuelweaver, a friend of mine describes it as basically saying "No u". Hehe... >.< And here's her ensnared quote. Kinda meh I know. (The snare quote was of course taken after I did practice without the health bar enabled) Personal thoughts and ramblings in the spoiler, if you don't want to read them, don't bother opening it. Spoiler Fuelweaver is a good boss by design, it's just a shame my brain is too slow for all the stuff that happens in it, Brute forcing the fight with the goat jelly and abigail was the only real way I found to not have to focus on a whole bunch of stuff at once. Yeah, you can leave it to a big micromanagement boss like fuelweaver to show just how slow on the draw and welll... not good at DST I am... There's a reason why Culinary Archipelago is over 1300 days and both this boss and Toadstool have yet to be killed, I'm slow, VERY slow, with even my fastest kill on the Celestial Champion being 214 days, which is nothing compared to what someone whos actually fast can do in this game. I just want to say again, I am not an expert, or professional, or veteran, or any of that kinda "big impressive title" stuff when it comes to DST, if anything, I still consider myself pretty mediocre at this game, especially lategame. But despite being crap at the game, I still learn to enjoy it. Regardless, this is the end of my ramblings.
QuartzBeam
My second attempt at a boat rush with Webber. I've yet to find any Brine Shoals or Waterlogged biomes, the latter of which is starting to worry me as I was planning to grow an Above Average Tree Trunk and use it as the starting point of my land base (I've been living on the boat so far). However, I now have a Walking Cane and a Tam o Shanter, and I also found some half-decent fishing equipment so I can start getting some properly sized fish meat. Oh, and I assembled the Celestial Altar and made myself a bunch of Glass Cutters. Currently prepping some Cooked Cactus Flesh and Fishsticks to take on Deerclops and, after that, I'll be outfitting my boat with an Anchor, a Steering Wheel and a lightning-rod Mast in preparation for Spring. Then, I guess I will hammer the Think Tank, which I will no longer need, and replace it with a Bird Cage so I can get Eggs for Bacon n Eggs, Pierogi and Barnacle Nigiri. And then I'll go back to searching for a Knobbly Tree Nut and Salt Crystals.
Terra B Welch
Culinary Archipelago continues. The three trees I was growing all finished their growing, one above the pigs. Another one above my boss sculptures, almost the entire area has canopy coverage now! Another near tooth traps. After killing the antlion for summer I briefly went into the caves and killed tentapillars, eventually I found the Atrium. After navigating it I find the gateway. The budding chef hopes it can bring her home. In the spoiler are budding chef's quotes for the ancient murals, look if you're interested in seeing. Spoiler Also feel like showing budding chef calling herself an idiot over triggering a trap. I prepare the skeleton, and have brought the key to the gateway, but I still need to prepare for this fight. I have a bit of a checklist of things i want to get first before I fight the fuelweaver, I'm also growing one more big tree on the surface, It'll be a while before I get to the Ancient Fuelweaver, but I'll keep practicing the fight in my practice world to make sure I'm ready.
