Terra B Welch
Pardon the double post, but progress has been made in culinary archipelago, prepare for alot of screenies. The search for the sanctum parts goes underway. They both ended up being on the spawn island. Also the Ward gave a bit of a troll. The sanctum parts were hauled back to my boat. Coffee speed thankfully made this a little more tolerable. I hauled them back to the lunar island. I left them at my walkway while I docked my boat back home. I had 3 detectors, decided to see how they'd look as little light sources around my home. Still need one more, anywho I decided to haul the sanctum parts to their new home, using gas mask sanity drain to help counter enlightenment. :P I proceeded to set up everything for when I was ready for moonstorms, I also moved the tribute to make sure it worked. I spend the last normal full moon of Culinary Archipelago farming werepigs at my pig farm. Shortly after, I decide to progress. The sanctum is finally complete. And now the gaze of Alter has been let loose upon the archipelago. Oh but look at the bright side, my gecko farm as produced results! and for anyone curious, yes, the moonstorm full moon enlightenment applies in the house too. With moonstorms underway, I spend time getting annoyed at wagstaff's minigame, I screw up some times, other times tools just fail to spawn, and some times he decides to try to restrain the static in the worst areas possible.(Like in the FREAKING KILLER BEE FIELD...*ahem*) I use my trusty gas mask as my goggles, since that -10 sanity/min is awfully helpful in the moonstorms. Oh, and what better time to farm crops then when a celestial god is trying to overtake the world? Seriously I wanted to make sure I had some food to help maintain crockpot variety. With food out of the way, I continue farming the moonstorms well into Winter. Deerclops decides to show up too, but I happened to fight her at night when enlightenment was active, so no shadows to interrupt! Almost halfway through winter, I had everything I needed to complete the lunar siphonator, I decided to build up all of it except the orb, I want to prepare a little more before the showdown with the Celestial Champion. And as for self reminder, I want to call Master Warly again, namely for some fish cordon bleu as part of my prep for Celestial Champion, but I also plan to fight the Celestial Champion in spring, hopefully by that time my item checklist for CC will be complete. That's all for now! Celestial Champion will be soon! Took me long enough. >.<
Cowboy Maxwell
I decided Summer was a great time to take a sea voyage in search of the lunar island. And here I encounter the annoy STD of the high seas; cookie cutters. I hate them. And after a pitstop or two to replenish basic supplies, I encounter another danger of the high seas. At least I didn't get attacked this time. Will keep you updated on when I eventually find the lunar island.

Terra B Welch
More culinary archipelago pics, no Celestial Champion kill yet, but I've done all the prep I've wanted to do, I'm mainly just waiting for spring, and for an opportune moment in spring to do the fight. First of all, I call upon Master Warly again, and now you all get to see Budding Chef's quote for using the Celestial Portal! Master Warly comes to the Budding Chef's aid once more, this time to aid in the final prep work for the Celestial Champion fight, one of the items I wanted was Fish Cordon Bleu, more specifically Garlic Fish Cordon Bleu, for both the extra defense and the wetness immunity, as the CC fight will be in spring, and will more then likely be during a downpour of rain. Master Warly also made a few extra spicy volt goat jelly for good measure. Master Warly was none too pleased though that the budding chef left some gross rot and rotten eggs in his fridge... >.> Dishes were prepared... ...a bundle made... ...and left for the Budding Chef. Master Warly returns to the portal and makes his leave again. The Budding Chef retur... Oh right Enlightenment, haha... (Also yes, I play at 42 FoV because 35 has always felt horribly zoomed in to me.) One telelocator teleport and some lazy deserter abuse later, I decide to restock my moqueca bundle to help pass winter time. Soon enough though, I set up all the items I want, I laid out all the items I plan to use against the Celestial Champion. My checklist is effectively the following.(For the main 15 inventory slots) ---------------- 1x Dark Sword 40x Nightmare Fuel(for recrafting more dark swords and for fueling Magiluminessence) 20x Living Logs(for also recrafting more dark swords) 2x Weather Pains(for Phase 3) 2x Nightmare Amulets(for Phase 3 enlightenment aura) 1x Magiluminessence(Mainly to keep Abigail moving for phases 1 and 2.) 4x Thulecite Crowns(Armor for the fight, in case I get hit, 4 is a little overboard, but I like to take it safe) 2x Vigor Mortis(To allow Abigail to outspeed phases 1 and 2, really only need 1, but brought a backup) Spicy Volt Goat Chaud-Froids(In bundle) Garlic Fish Cordon Bleus(In bundle) 14x Honey Poultice(In case I need to heal.) I will also bring Abigail's flower of course Spring is close now, so hopefully the Celestial Champion kill will be soon.
Terra B Welch
Another double post, but for good reason. Spring arrives, and with it, the Budding Chef prepares and challenges the Celestial Champion. The orb is placed into the lunar siphonator, and the battle begins. Phase 1 was simple enough. Dodge the rolling rock, smack him when hes still. Soon enough, the first phase was down. The Champion enters his 2nd phase, also simple enough, although I got too greedy with hits, which meant Abigail went down earlier then intended, this made Phase 2 take a little longer, but I was otherwise able to kill it, though not without taking a single hit due to a bit more greed. Thankfully rain is frequent enough in the culinary archipelago that the champion didn't have time to dry off before the next spring downpour begun. Phase 2 eventually went down. Phase 3, the hardest part for me, the snares were easy enough to deal with thanks to weather pains, I took a few dumb hits, like getting sniped a couple times by lasers and also getting greedy once or twice with some hits, but was able to otherwise dodge most the attacks, this phase was not without its mistakes though, so a fair few hits were taken, I swapped to one of my nightmare amulets when my enlightenment got high and continued on. Soon enough, the killing blow was landed on the Celestial Champion, and the Budding Chef is victorious. *Takes off nightmare amulet, enlightenment immediately goes from empty to full*, Yup, CC be like that haha. Using the light from the magiluminessence I ran back to my krampus sack and grabbed my stuff, then proceeded to eat one of the few glowberry mousse I still had from one of Master Warly's previous visits in order to navigate back to the remains of the celestial champion, I crafted a pickaxe and proceeded to mine the remains. The crown has a new owner now. When the Budding Chef touched the enlightened crown, she gained a new knowledge, she felt her cooking hand become more swift, much like Master Warly's. The Budding Chef found she could cook as quickly as Master Warly now, was this the knowledge the crown had to offer? While faster cooking is nice, the Budding Chef couldn't help but feel a little dissapointed at how mediocre this new knowledge was. In the end though, the crown is nice for light and fast cooking will be nice too, the bold text btw is just budding chef story stuff, after getting the enlightened crown, I enabled a config option in a mod that now gives me faster cooking(like Willow, Walter and Warly), the idea is that the perk is gained in this playthrough from obtaining the enlightened crown, but the perk now is permenant, the story is simply meant to say that this is the origin of that perk. Up until I got the enlightened crown, I've been playing with base cooking speed(like Wilson). Oh and of course, with another boss down means another sketch! Decided to take two pics, one at night with the crown light radius, the other during the day. Two boss sculptures remain, just a certain oversized frog and a certain skeleton... Oh and yes, there's a quote for the crown that is meant to go with the story mentioned above, thought I'd share it. Also went and got a 4th astral detector, heres how they look around the house. And lastly, new celestial orb in my home! With Celestial Champion out of the way, I would like to focus on getting my road done again, and also continuing to fill the cookbook, it'll be a while before I'll feel ready for the last two bosses I need sketches from. Terra B Welch
Culinary Archipelago hasn't been too eventful since the Celestial Champion's defeat. But here's a few screenies anyway. The first full moon after the Celestial Champion's defeat, with the now glassed over moon. All I gotta remember for full/new moons now is that my 1s digit is 8 instead of 1. Finally getting the fish farms up and running too, putting that celestial knowledge I got a while back to use finally. Also heres another giant crop combo. I only show this because i wanted to share how I remember the formation of the crops. I remember this particular crop formation(it's a 2 wide plot formation) by just thinking Tetris, the corn is the L shaped blocks, sragonfruit(or even pepper) is the 2x2 block and the onions make up the long 1x4 block. I can't be the only one who thinks tetris with this crop setup right?
Baark0
Mildly interesting cobblestone generation First walking cane boon, in a world I plan to be long term too. Only took 3.2k+ hours >.> Cave farm area, I really enjoy using mushroom planters as decoration in my caves base. 1500 days shrine, what I'm pretty sure is the longest I've played a world to date. Said world is currently at 1562 days.
Terra B Welch
Yay, finally a world keeps my short attention span interested for long enough to reach 1000 days. Cowboy Maxwell
So here's a bit of an update on how I'm doing as Wormwood. First off I have roommates. At least they pay for rent (in manure) and help keep trespassers off the property. Spent some time away from base, only making a pitstop back to craft the walking cane, then night 30 hit. I got Deerclops to do me a favor and help me get rid of some awkwardly placed set pieces near the exit of a wormhole. Not pictured is the hound mound opposite the spider quarry. Finally I return with all the loot only to find my roommates have a surprise for me. This means extra payment for rent. And that's how things are so far. All in all not bad. Baark0
This is Amberjack, my new ornery beefalo on my Wurt world. 2nd winter krampus sack, recently I've been getting a lot of worlds (2) where whenever I make a piggy back, I instantly get a krampus sack the next klaus I kill. Not complaining though. Shadow pieces dead, bunnymen sped up the knight and bishop a lot, but fighting the rook without glosammer saddle is very scary. Fuelweaver is planned for spring or summer, I haven't done a normal damage modifier fuelweaver fight in a while, so this will be interesting. Terra B Welch
I hope yall can see these images cause the forum wouldn't allow me to upload them(it gave the -200 error instead...) I wanted to try something with turf, I wanted to make it look like the moon island is spreading past my bridges onto the islands the bridges are connected to(moonstone and cherry islands) I could do with maybe moving a couple of the lunes and also getting some stone fruits, but I think I like how it turned out. Merm guards really are just better here, aside from the more expensive cost, mainly due to the fact they don't get spooked by boss screams. This bee queen area is looking to be an essentially free bee queen farm.
