If Wickerbottom spams horti twice, your crops will grow up and become spoiled.

Since the respawn timer of the Lord of the Fruitflies gets pushed up by half a day for every crop that spoils, I used this bug to rush the Lord of the Fruitfly on day 15!

if you need one seed immideately you can watch a birds animation

when a bird lands and if you run on them in a second they will not drop seeds

instead you have to wait for them to look like they are eating something from the ground

if you scare them away in that moment bird will drop the seed

edit: this information has a chance to be false (still probably is correct but it could be)

i tested this before and it looked like it worked but when i tried again today it didnt for some reason

so dont rely too much on it

Apperanetly you can cook shrooms twice but the second time they are just used as campfire fuel. Is this unknown? I didn't know it for years because I never thought to try and fry shroom twice.

The last time I've done that was like 3 years ago lol

Standing next to the pig king causes sinkholes to spawn a good distance around you instead of on top of you.

I assume this is to avoid the sinkhole spawning on pig king and causing glitches. Other indestructible entities probably work too.

When wielding the tragic torch (torch skin from cyclum puzzle), you can hear a very faint sound of the insanity ambiance, even when at full sanity

I wonder if anyone has paid attention to that, and I thought it was just me hearing those sounds at full sanity, nope, it was the torch, I'm for sure of it

you have to pay very, very close attention and ambient sounds MUST BE ON

Either I'm actually insane or just having the tetris effect, but doesn't this also happen around the shadow manipulator?

Hmm, never paid attention to that........all I've heard it from was the tragic torch.

But I will ask one thing, was it the main noise the shadow manipulator makes or is the sound very faint?

A minor sound of a strained "help me" whispered yeah

You can make shadow hands leave using a Clean Sweeper on the campfire, fire pit or endothermic fire pit they are trying to extinguish.

I’m not sure if it’s an accidental bug or an intended official gameplay feature: But Wolfgang’s 1% chance to instantly finish the work of Mining/Chopping ALSO seems to apply to hitting things with a Spear/Tentacle spike

As several times now I have went to “Attack” A Tier 3 Spider Den or a Hound Mound Den and instantly destroy them.

Pretty neat little thing if intended I felt like sharing :) (and if it’s a bug it will likely get patched next week.. :()

I was playing Maxwell recently after a very long time. For the first 6 nightmare fuel you get, I recommend that you turn them into 2 Shadow Duelists and a worker of your choice rather than the typical Miners and Choppers that I see most people do. You'll get your insanity locked as soon as you get a Science Machine and you'll very quickly get a return on your investment with the nightmares that subsequently spawn.

Then once you get your fuel, just kill the Duelists and you should be good to play as you normally would.

I know those of you who are “experts” at this game won’t find this useful but this is for those newer players who aren’t as skilled or as knowledged as you-

The BushHat is a very effective Stealth Item: I have managed to use this in Dragonfly’s fight to run far enough away from Larvae to “Hide” from them so they explode by themselves eventually, enemies that do not see you go into hiding (yea apparently they have an alert radius) can not target & attack you, Dragonfly’s Swipe Attacks if performed near you won’t hit you if hidden (and she did not see you hide) Her enraged Stomp WILL hit you, as well as Eye of Terror/Twins of Terrors Phase 2 “Swoop” Attack

In fact I died an embarrassing death several times last night because while trying to use Twins to kill Dragonfly for me (while hiding in a bushhat the entire time…) I managed to get them to successfully fight each other- But When the Twins did their swoop attack targeting Dragonfly It’s like playing a Game of Bowling…

They hit you and it’s instant STRIKE gg your Dead.. But after many failed attempts I pulled it off.

Bushhat can be used as a “late game” way to avoid hound waves as well (I freaking hate hound waves to the point I was almost ready to toggle them off forever if it wasn’t for the gems and meat & teeth they provide) Hounds target anything they can find to attack so simply use your BushHat before they arrive and they’ll stupidly go smack that nearby treeguard and all die.

I have WAY more fun hiding in a BushHat moving out of danger & hiding again while letting other mobs fight Dragonfly then I do spending a billion rock resources on walling off all her larvae pits or building a giant wall between me and her using the “most effective” method.

Plus: I play games like Metal Gear Solid & see the BushHat working similar to Solid Snake hiding inside a Cardboard box- it’s just darn fun!

Remember: It only works when the enemies DON’T see you (so they need to be distracted doing something else first)

dfly's attack is single target and won't re-target.  So if she isn't targeting you with the attack it won't hit you, even if the target dodges.  Other bosses will re-target so if the primary target dodges someone else in range wills till get hit.  Tree guards and Moosegoose are like this iirc...  Other attacks are just AOE and hit everyone like Deerclops smash.

This property for dfly makes her a great target for Abi as you can still kite with Wendy and Abi isn't likely to die.  With other bosses you've got to tank if you want Abi to stick around.

I really like bush hats, especially in longer multiplayer worlds.  I'll duck into one during a hound spawn so more hounds chase other ppl, but this frees me up to pick them off and thin the herd.  That's right - I'm helping with this hat, promise XD
