About mutated/undead creatures like hounds, penguls and maybe more - how about making them really undead like even if killed they come back to (not)life unless killed by moon weapon or burned to death? There is no reason to fight mobs in game with fire so far... It also reminds me of some popular series on HBO

Hey actually.
This sounds pretty nice.

We already have boats that act p much as a moving landmass, why not have a boss like that?
Wouldnt even need to be a turtle (although that seems the most fitting for a platform boss), but fighting on some huge monster's back sounds cool >:o

Actually I can see Ao Kuang (The Water Snake Boss from the Myth Mod) (Easter Dragon King in the Lore) being in DST now that we have water, and the mod is also available for DST

My wild idea:

- PISTOL SHRIMPS -

 - a hunt animal, you track signs of it through the waves

 - when it spawns its a shoal of them, at least 6 i would say

 - docile at first, they can attack at range, prolly at 20 damage

- they drop monster meat  and gunpowder
