Hey guys I’m on Xbox so I can’t play in Beta and don’t know how things in the beta work but I’d like to know more details about THESE:

How do these work in the game??

There will be two Briars set piece's in the world, a stage, and four of these Briars with a harpist angel statue.

Killing these Briars Wolf earns you a random costume, which you use to perform on the stage. If the player performs on the stage without a costume, the stage will generate three wolves to attack the player after the performance is complete, and defeating the wolves will result in three random tools of the same theme.

Wait it’s just a world set piece?? And here I was hoping these new Briar Bushes/Wolfs would work in the game similar to Lureplants just randomly popping up in your world overtime as the game days go by.

Can we get this an actual patch/update that makes them function in this way please? @JoeW @ScottHansen

Even if it’s just an extra “Thing” you can toggle on/off in world settings like when the player toggles On Year of the Carrat and Carrats spawn inside Beefalo Fur.

Maybe they will play a bigger role in a future update, it would be a bit strange if they only existed for the theatre, although I guess the horror hounds didn't had much use...

I see that the new stage has a cracking animation to it.

Either unused or something for the future.

It's a reskinned boat, and this is the death animation that boats use.

It even does the same "3D" technique boats do, so boat assets were clearly used as a reference for the stage.

Are these unused Briar animations?

It looks like they could be planted initially, and then hide an item in them, so that anyone else who tries to take an item from it will have to kill Briar Wolf before that

As another said, they're both used. But they're hard to see!
Here's one holding a sewing kit!

Understood, thanks for the reply.

I also noticed that this playbill animation is not used, and also that this item cannot be obtained without commands. I played the entire skit and didn't have the "The Reunion" part. I believe that in the next update for this beta test, we will be able to play the last scene "The Reunion" and get the script as an item. The item itself can be placed in playbill, but in such cases, the page turning animation will play, as well as the next scene that you can play automatically becomes "Act 1 - Scene 1", the script itself will also drop out. Even if last time you stopped at a different act and scene, then putting the script back will still be "Act 1 - Scene 1"

I can't remember if this was used, if so ignore it, though I saw that the Skin Trader is now dressed up for a birthday.
EDIT: It may be for YOTB but I've never seen it. Can't confirm.

It could be something they snuck in to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Dont starve franchise later? I don’t recall seeing that hat during YoTB..

New usher stagehand in this update will attack the player when hit with a hammer.

The old one can't.

I see very sophisticated farmed being born from this. The hand deals 75 damage AoE! And the stagehands can be teleported.
