The monkey queen's island is near the mosaic island in this world, I managed to spot part of it in where I had already explored, so I already knew where it was. After going there and looting everything, I spend half of winter and all of spring replacing several boat bridges with dock bridges! Most the central area of this world is shallow, so alot of area for dock placements! (There was also an awkward getting around of one of my trees) Also in the spoiler below is a few budding chef quotes for some moon quay update additions. Spoiler Cutless quote. Um, um....put all of those on the starting screen behind random small objects!" And so on the opening screen alone, I had four cats hiding behind things like a random log, a picked grass, a twig... (I would've taken a picture of that, but from far enough away to show all of them, the little waving tails were too small to see.) Their names are Io, Ganymede, Callisto, Europa and the new one is Amalthea. Moons of Jupiter theme because....why not. (Although I guess with this world, something more like "landscape features of Mars" might've been more appropriate. "Here are my cats, Pavonis Mons and Vallis Marineris!") That turkey just ate my berries, so I'm perfectly okay with this. GET 'EM, FROG! (the drumsticks were delicious. :)) FINALLY! Finally, after _years_ of only the tent having any skins, we FINALLY have a new lean-to! And that's how caves look on Branches: Never and Loops: Never. EighteenXVIII Posted August 1, 2022 Share Posted August 1, 2022 Pig King, triple MacTusk biome, cave entrance next to Pig King that leads to a straight path into the ruins, nearby Bee Queen Hive for free honey early game, nearby Desert and two wormholes that lead to the swamp and the Florid Postern respectively. The two Catcoons are also nice, free Hambats for days. Also, Glommer. Only downside is my base is sandwiched between two Moosegoose nests. I actually finished base, except furnace, but no way I will kill DF without stacks of gunpowder anytime soon Little (almost 1.5x times bigger than actual base) garden, decided to not summerproof crops as I don't grow much in summer, and dragon fruit vines anyway can't burn so its kinda good Even had time to do Pig Square, collected every pig house in the world and build the most basic pig village you ever seen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
