Charlie_99
My first encounter with the Stagehand. I was shaking. But it was fun because my sister didn't notice anything. She was like "Why are you shaking? Are you okay?" And I pointed my finger to the moving Stagehand and she was shaking too. after a few minutes we were laughing. We had so much fun analysing and studying it. b1b3r0n
Exploring ruins with my gf, it was such a disaster... Our first dragonfly kill was also a great time. We were really proud of us I enjoy playing DST because it is the only game I play together with my gf. And so it is fun by itself to play. FluffyDoomMonster
One of those "roleplays" you can stumble into. Except everyone is just actually acting out the most extreme of the personality traits and it is hilarious. I was playing as wilson for once, and shouting at "Old man Wellwell" to keep up. We were calling the Maxwell Wellwell, and he would be like "No carry me! I am master, you are to carry me!" It was also great when the Willow threatened to burn his butt if he didn't move it. CaptainChaotica
Oh, I've got a bunch. None of them are all that spectacular, but off the top of my head (and vaguely in chronological order)... --One of my very earliest DST experiences--I played as Wes, and wrote out all my "dialogue" as descriptions of gestures that vaguely fit what I was trying to say. (spreading my arms out "like vulture wings" to say I was in the desert, etc.) Difficult to keep up for long, but fun. --The time I first made it to Day 200 with the occasional help of some friends, mainly a couple fellow forum-members, and we made a cobblestone road over to "The Land of Milk and Honey" (aka my favourite meadow area to get lots of supplies from), did a dance together in front of the meat effigy and decided that all wandering friendly treeguards were named "Steve". (Or Bob, or Dave, or...) --My most epic death ever, one of those times it seems only Don't Starve can deliver, where SO MANY THINGS GO WRONG AT ONCE that it transcends horrible and becomes _hilarious_, and all you can do is laugh. To wit: I was running in the dark, in the rain, with FROGS falling on me, went straight past _three_ Spring Giant nests, over part of an unseen spiderweb, hit by lightning four times almost in a row, AND it was also a hound night. But what _actually_ took me out? Freezing. XD --Making my now-unacessible "Camp One-Foot-in-the-Grave" with Kitty, Giddy, Pelliway and a few others. Every time I hit a new 100 days landmark a sign would be made, but it was usually by someone ELSE, so they all had their own writing styles (and spelling errors). It was so sweet. :\ Made it to Day 612, on and off the A New Reign beta safely, first Hallow's Eve, travelled on a long, perilous journey deep into the desert to get my first pet, first Winter's Feast...and then it died due to the Forge. Sigh. --Working together with several friends at my first Winter's Feast, making it all warm and cozy and fun, at "Starving in a Winter Wonderland". This resulted in the Three Ladies Dancing! (and a beaver) picture, and oddly enough the base at _that_ server is the thumbnail for the first "Tidy Bases Showcase" thread. Heh. --My adventures at "Starvania"--my entire first year as a nomadic "hunter-gatherer" (more like a TRAPPER-gatherer), celebrating the Year of the Gobbler and Valentine's Day, posing in front of the burned-but-still-awesome-looking Gobbler Shrine, finding the OASIS CAT (ee!) and seeing my first spontaneous giant throwdown. Seems Bearger didn't take too kindly to Mama Goose deciding to lay her egg right in his bedroom...(and also right in the Bee Queen's backyard. Why was that one area so popular?!) Oh, and the Stagehand not only taking up residence, but also always following me whenever I went to greet a new player at night...who was then always STARTLED TO DEATH. XD --This is from regular Don't Starve and due to a mod, but while we're on cats: JESUS CAT! Heh. --And last but not least, not only always doing the Chicken Dance as I enter the ring at the Forge, but the one time we ended up with three people dancing together in a line. ...Notorious Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85712-your-most-fun-experience/#findComment-997585 Share on other sites

Cellby
...playing The Forge and getting every achievement... I've never played so much of the game like I did when I discovered it. Mr.Mulk
For me hands down the best experience I've ever had in the DS/DST series is the first few times I ever opened the games. Everything felt so mysterious, and there was a "magic" I'd pay good money to try and get again if it were possible. I remember watching the lore video made by Trey the Explainer (unfortunately he deleted it now), which is was really got me into the series altogether. This was a long time ago, and while I still love the game and it's lore, it's unfortunately lost the initial magic. Starlogy
Mine is similar to @Mr.Mulk's, but I started out in DST. My most fond memories of this game were with my bud @Brikelz and another really good friend of mine that doesn't have a forum account. Getting past winter for the first time was truly magical, as it was a whole nother season of struggle that we had to figure out. I also remember one of em dying to Monster Lasagna because they were hungry and they were playing Maxwell. Good times indeed.
