Spiders can be caught in traps...wow amazing, wish I knew that 50 axes later lol.

And frogs too. Traps make dealing with frog rains so much easier. I wish I knew that during my first frog rain.

That you can turn a full stack of berries/petals into a full stack of manure by dropping it in front of a were pig, who will stand there gobbling it & pooping while you hack away at him to get his 2 meats and a pigskin. You can instantly fertilize your transplanted berry bushes that way.

The odds of being struck by lighting twice are definitely higher in game then in real life...mind blown, and then set on fire...also beware of critters who have been struck by lighting, a bunny can kill you when it's buring body heads for your direction and touches you.

the instant rain from the telestaff is great for summer. keep those farms happy.

(cant remember exactly how i think you need to build or something else first) You can save placable objects like firepits for later. its good if you need a quick and instant thing to prop or if you want the sanity up for making an item but have no use for it yet

Sadly it works like that only in DS. In DST you need to use staff multiple times, which make it not so worth it :/

aww...well it has a "kind of chance" of happening...but yeah its not as worth it <:c i can see why it got changed though

I definitely wish I knew how useful the caves were in summer. While my friend is doing the hard work on the surface and fueling the flingomaticts, I just sit in my nice little cave base and search for the ruins. Also since I main as WX-78, I just group up some rock lobsters, find some clockworks, and get endless gears. Its not only in the summer when its useful though, if my friend is dead and there are too many hounds to kill, just escape into the caves! Also, if you have a group of rock lobsters near the ruins, lead them to some monkeys, and every time the nightmare cycle goes full, its an automatic farm for beard hair and nightmare fuel.

Little known fact, you can actually kill people using mere water balloons.
Tossing a water balloon will increase the wetness of all targets struck by 20.
This means with just 5 water balloons, you can raise a player's wetness to 100 to induce both hypothermia and psychological instability upon them. (Not that I would ever do that to people and then put our their fires with ice when they try to dry off, I mean whaaat)

I tend to gather 10 or so on public servers, to put out the fires of griefers and make them eternally damp.

Gobblers prioritize food lying on the ground, so you can easily hunt them and protect your berries with an entombed powder cake.

And I thought I knew pretty much all the little tips and tricks by now. Guess I was wrong because I never knew this one. I just love all the tiny little details in this game. It seems like even after years of playing it you can still learn something new.

You can also kill most players in non PVP servers through Wickerbottom's lightnings. WX's doesn't count, and insulated aware characters can resist it (and votekick you :P)

Can also use lightbulbs too

Light Bulbs are an excellent source of rot for booster shots.

They spoil exceptionally fast, are very common, and grow back pretty quickly, while not providing many benefits beside the lantern and miner hat fuel. (And mushroom lamps, I guess.)

Especially if you find that huge muddy area full of them usually at the ruins entrance (DST). I remember having piggyback full of those. Imagine the poop party we threw!

The Bearger isn't worth fighting at all and you can get him to despawn if you feed him what he wants. Found this one out the hard way...

you can feed a caged bird stale seeds (and also eggs iirc) and it will produce fresh ones

Abigail is insanely useful for clearing out spiders, in both DS and DST

You can farm moleworms with a hammer (surprisingly I never knew this until quite recently)

Volt goats don't protect each other, making them an extremely easy source of meat if you live nearby

The rain is not good for farms mainly, its main good thing is that it prevents smoldering.

It adds moisture iirc. So when you use it enough it will make it rain, but it requires several uses.

About the eggs, it will only produce a fresh one if you feed it a cooked egg. It doesn't accept a raw one.

Hmm, didn't know this one. Guess I shouldn't be afraid of punching them then.

Maxwell is the only other person that can read Wickerbottom's books.

Invite me when you're trying to defeat the dragonfly. She seems to be attracted to me for some reason.
