Walter's Bee Skin

So, i'm just wondering, how come this skin is so... bland compared to all the other Hallowed Nights costume skins? Every other hallowed nights costume skin changed up their characters pigtails, hair, added makeup, and some other cute features. But Walter's skin only adds the little fake bee eyes on the hair which I do like, but I feel it just isn't enough? I really like the concept of a bee costume for Walter but I feel his current one doesn't really stand out all that much, a change in hair style(Maybe to look like honeycombs?) and some makeup I think could be pretty neat to see . Just my thoughts, what are yours?

well 3 reasons
1 it becomes more difficult to make something look good if a character gets a new skin every time a new skin set is out
2 walter just thinks this is nothing for grown ups and so just dont realy want to try much
3 walter dont like bees and dont want to be too close bee like

It's definitely the weakest costume of the bunch, any kind of addition/change would look better than what we have now.

I mean, Wilson's skin mentions how he makes it at the last second and that one look better. 

Making the black stripes thicker would be a mayor improvement since right now they are basically vanishing.

Also, the stinger should be black, the stingers from the bees are black.

Can someone who has the full set maybe post a pic including his special hat skin?

I quite like the whole look tbh especially the body costume i think its really cute. maybe they shouldve made his hair (or a wig) the same brown color as the "fur" on grumble bees/bee queen.

can u imagine if woby got a cute little bee costume too though  like just her little backpack in yellow and with fake wings attached

 I think the big problem is everyone can wear his body costume and cap, making the head costume somewhat meaningless.

I mean, take in mind only he can craft that head piece, so unless you switch characters or youre playing with a Walter, you cant get that hat normally.

The best improvements I can think of would be to give Walter a similar hairstyle to that of his Victorian skin, remove the blush and dimples and keep the eyebrow expression. And then put the eyes on.

 My point is the head adds too little detail to this design, thus the idea could fit better on a tophat, like Chester and catcoon costume, rather than a character special. 

So, I hope they rework the head a little bit, like adjust the hairstyle or give him some mask or facial makeup.

I think that everyone agree about how weak that skin feels, personally, I would change the hair to be, more bee queen like ? (Not as pronounced as the bee queen crown, just the same general shape on a tinier scale with Walter's hair). And I would love a little stain of honey on one of his cheek, it looks like Walter likes honey if we look at the portrait of the skin.

Feels like that very first collection of Hallowed nights where only few characters had a really well styled hallowed skin while others put a bit less effort or went simply. I mean, Wickerbottom volt goat doesn't look any different from Walter's bee skin. I guess everyone gets a simpler filler skin too. Besides - Walter had a really good Chatterbox skin last time with neat hat. Willow got dragon at first then a Wednesday skin as a kind of a simple look. 

Overall overdesigning on simple costumes might be the case that was avoided to some.

I do think that some of the issue is the result of bees not being, complex. Especially in DST, there isn't much to their design, and thus it would inevitably be sort of bland. I don't mind it, being overly simplistic can also be just as good as being overly complex.

So maybe you haven’t noticed this- but Walters bee costumes head part is a reskin of his pine tree pioneer hat- Unlike every other characters costume which was an actual alternate head for the character.

Walters “Bee Hat” can be worn with any of his heads, that’s why there’s not any make-up on his face or changes to his hair.

Well, of course there's the hat, but, I think that most of the people here "complaining" don't have any problems with the hat being part of the costume, I don't want to associate anyone with what I'm saying but personally, I would have hoped that the Walter skin would look like a bee on it's own, I mean, you take the bee outfit and the pioneer hat and stick it on any character and you have a bee outfit as good as Walter's. I just wished Walter had something a bit more special.

I think his head and hands are missing something. For the head I would love to see a black stripe across his eyes or bigger lens kind of eyes, and I feel that connecting his sleeves into his hands would give it a more "full" kind of look and feel.

This is far from true, some people don't like him, that doesn't mean that the developers will make "Simplistic" outfits for him because of that.
