Here is mine, few Turkish food that could fit game very well.

Menemen:
A food that made by roasted onions with tomatoes and eggs. It's healthy but not much filler. Great way to using tomatoes.

Karnıyarık:
A food that made by roasted eggplants with filled meat and garlic. It's could be a non-vegan alternative Stuffed Eggplant for Wigfrid. It's not that healthy but pretty filler.

Mücver:
A food that made by potato, pepper, onion and sometimes carrot too. It's really filler and usually really liked by vegans. I like to eat it on breakfasts which fill me for all day. Could be a great alternative for Meatball.

DST have a big community with people from everywhere, so I'm sure we are gonna get a huge recipe list!

im not sure but something has to be done whit pomegranates like there is not a singel thing that needs them and i have looked up some pomegranate things and i guess something like pomegranate salat or something baked i alsol have seen something whit meat so something like that sould get in the game

A long time ago I suggested another recipe involving monster meat and potatoes and it was called "Monster Mashed Potatoes". Didn't go far at all and stat-wise...I dunno; but it sounded like a cool idea for another MM exclusive dish.

Nitre + 2 moon stone + salt = Moon crystals

You gotta cook the moon crystals over a fire for full effect.

Gives 20% more speed but makes your teeth fall out. If you go too long without it after taking once you start to lose sanity. Totally not based on a real life substance btw.

Ashura.jpg.910ad9ca7c6fcc722a7aac497f35b87c.jpgI've been telling this for a while now. If they're going to add anything new for the crock pot from the Turkish cuisine, it's gotta be Ashura (A.K.A. Noah's pudding). It's a dessert popular in Turkey made with Nuts, Beans, Sugar and Pomegranate seeds, which can be simulated in DST with a Pomegranate, Roasted Birchnut and Honey; and would be a good way of giving Pomegranates their own recipe.

"WILSON!  WE HAVE TO COOK!"

But seriously more variety of dishes/foods from different ethnicities sounds like a good idea in general.  I'd list a couple ideas, but right now everything I'm coming up with involves ingredients that were only in the Gorge, such as flour...

...Notorious

Well, if we're making suggestions, here's a bunch (inside the spoiler). Most are based on currently "unused" ingredients (Pomegranate, Durian, Carrot, Glowberry for non-Warly players)

Spoiler

POMEPADOUR CAKE
Stats: +3 health, +50 hunger, +50 sanity
Recipe: 1 Pomegranate, 0,5 Fruit, 1 Egg or Dairy
Fillers: Cannot be Meat, Fish, Vegetables or Inedibles
Spoilage: 10 days
Special: None
Look: A big cake with toppings made of pomegranate bits and other fruit.
Typical ingredients: 1 Pomegranate, 1 Berry, 1 Egg or Beefalo Milk, 1 Ice
Considering that Pomegranates have no specific recipes, this is one idea for that. Also, the name is not misspelled (Pomepadour), the pun is very much intended.

MAKESHIFT NOGADAS
Stats: +60 health, +50 hunger, +15 sanity
Recipe: 1 Pomegranate, 1 Pepper,  1 Roasted Birchnut, 0,5 Meat
Fillers: None (requires 4 ingredients)
Spoilage: 6 days
Special: None
Look: Similar to Chiles en Nogada (a Mexican dish) which could generally be described as chilis stuffed with meat and topped with Nogada (a walnut-based sauce) and pomegranate seeds (among other things).
Typical ingredients: 1 Pomegranate, 1 Pepper, 1 Roasted Birchnut, 1 Morsel
Another Pomegranate recipe, boasting quite the statbonuses, but also very specific ingredient-requirements to go with that. It's basicly an amped up version of Stuffed Pepper Poppers, but without the temperature-bonus.

FISH AND CHIPS
Stats: +0 health, +62,5 hunger, +10 sanity
Recipe: 1 Potato, 0,5 Fish
Fillers: Cannot be Meats or Inedibles
Spoilage: 15 days
Special: None
Look: Like your typical Fish and Chips (newspaper and all?)
Typical ingredients: 1 Fish Morsel, 1 Potato, 2 Ice
Mostly as a fun dish. While it doesn't boast anything particularly special about it in its restorative stats, it has pretty good spoilage time (tied for best spoilage time with Barnacle Pita among the fish-oriented dishes). It also uniquely provides no health compared to other dishes, focusing fully on hunger and some sanity instead (as Fish and Chips aren't exactly healthy, but they are filling and generally considered tasty)

CARROT CAKE
Stats: +8 health, +37,5 hunger, +15 sanity
Recipe: 2 Carrots, 1 Egg
Fillers: Cannot be Meats or Fish
Spoilage: 15 days
Special: None
Look: Like a normal carrot cake, basicly
Typical ingredients used: 2 Carrots, 1 Egg, 1 Twig
Added as an idea, as there's no specific Carrot-dish yet. It basicly trades a tiny bit of hunger for some health and sanity using simple and easy-to-find ingredients. More of an early-game "noob" dish, really. But at least there'd be a Carrot-based dish!

DURIAN CENDOL
Stats: +0 health, +37,5 hunger, +25 sanity
Recipe: 1 Durian, 1 Ice, 1 Sweetener
Fillers: Cannot be Meats, Fish or Inedibles
Spoilage: 10 days (and 30 days in an Ice Box, instead of 20)
Special: Reduces your temperature by 1 degree per second for 15 seconds
Look: A glass with icy, green-yellow fluid (think of it as a slushie, basicly), with some bits of Durian as topping
Typical ingredients used: 1 Durian, 2 Ice, 1 Honey
Durian doesn't have a specific recipe for it, so here's a suggestion for that! While it's not particularly potent, it does make use of the Durian, an otherwise not too useful fruit, and adds another temperature-lowering dish. Also, due to its icy nature, it lasts long when stored in an ice box, so that's a good benefit too.

CHICKEN DURIAN CURRY
Stats: +10 health, +62,5 hunger, +5 sanity
Recipe: 1 Durian, 1 Drumstick (cooked ones are allowed)
Fillers: Cannot be Fish or Inedibles
Spoilage: 6 days
Special: Increases your temperature by 1 degree per second for 15 seconds
Look: More or less, a plate with chicken drumsticks, durian and a chunky sauce
Typical ingredients used: 1 Durian, 1 Drumstick, 2 Ice
Another Durian-based dish. Again, while it's not particularly potent (although a bit stronger in stats than the Durian Cendol), it does make use of the Durian, an otherwise not too useful fruit, and adds another temperature-increasing dish.

CHILI BITES
Stats: +1 health, +25 hunger, +25 sanity
Recipe: 1 Pepper, 2 Sweeteners
Fillers: Cannot be Meat, Fish or Eggs
Spoilage: 15 days
Special: Increases your temperature by 1 degree per second for 15 seconds
Look: Basicly yellow-transparent caramels with bits of chili in it.
Typical ingredients: 1 Pepper, 2 Honey, 1 Twig
Suggested for multiple reasons: It gives veggie-eaters like Wurt access to a 15 second heat-boosting food item, it gives another use of the Pepper, and it is the sanity-oriented version of the other major heat-boosting Crock Pot recipes.

CASSEROLE
Stats: +20 health, +62,5 hunger, +5 sanity
Recipe: 1,5 Meat, 1,5 Vegetables (Yes, this is Spicy Chili's current recipe - but I'd change Spicy Chili to need a Pepper, among other things)
Fillers: None available
Spoilage: 15 days
Special: Increases temperature by 1 degree per second for 5 seconds
Priority: 2 (meaning lower than Spicy Chili)
Look: Like an everyday meat-and-veggies casserole, in a rectangular or round ovenware (or whatever those ceramic "bowls/trays" are called)
Typical ingredients used: 1 Monster Meat, 1 Morsel, 1 Carrot, 1 Red Mushroom
Meant to be a "middleground" to basic Meatballs (which I'd heavily nerf) and a Meaty Stew, basicly.

GLOWBERRY PIE
Stats: +5 health, +50 hunger, +15 sanity
Recipe: 2 Lesser Glow Berry or 1 Glow Berry, 1 Sweetener
Fillers: Cannot be Meat, Fish or Vegetables
Spoilage: 15 days
Special: Causes a minimal glow on the player, similar to that when you have a fully heated Thermal Stone, for 4 minutes
Look: Like blueberry pie, but with shiny glowberries instead
Typical ingredients used: 2 Lesser Glow Berry, 1 Honey, 1 Twig
Adds a recipe using the Glow Berries which isn't exclusive to Warly, which helps with light, although in a much lesser fashion than a direct glowberry consumption or Warly's dish, but unlike raw glow berries it doesn't negatively affect your stats.

I remember that @Blue Moth suggested to add pineapple and one of the replies on the post was to add a recipe of pinapple pizza.

Maybe add a recipe of Fruit Pizza, giving high hunger decent healing but decreasing sanity this would also give a use to fruits.

found the türk. :D selamun aleykum!

i would suggest:

baklava with 2x roasted birchnuts+ honey+ butter.

rice pudding with berries+ milk + 2x toasted seeds

kuruyemis: it is a mix of dried nuts. with various roasted seeds and roasted birchnuts.

The issue with just adding more foods is that there are already a lot of different foods in the game. Which means either.

A. The ingredients for the food has to be readily available enough so that making it is actually worth it.

B. The stats have to be super high so that the food is made regardless of how hard it is to make.

People joke about Pierogi and Meatballs a lot, with how popular they are. And while some of this is justified, the thing with those recipes is that they are very cheap to make and offer a very good return on the crafting ingredients. Meatballs only need a nearby spider nest to make, along with either a berry farm or some ice. And Likewise, Pierogi offer a good amount of healing despite only requiring a spider nest and either mushrooms or cactus to make.

Both of these foods are very cheap to craft and offer decent stat restoration. And thus, they're some of the most popular recipes in the game. And because they're so cheap, often times players would rather make more of the mid-low quality foods than make the more expensive high-quality foods, simply because there is no benefit to doing so.

For example, why would I make, say, Barnacle Linguini when Bacon and Eggs restore the same stats but can be made with only 4 meat instead of needing barnacles?

And looking at the recipes you suggested, the only one that looks like it would ever actually be used is Menemen.

The last one, those pancakes you mentioned, are a particularly good example of what I'm talking about. They require four separate vegetables to give equivelent stats as meatballs, which can be made with one Monster Meat and 3 ice. Not only are you barely yielding any extra hunger from that. But they're so expensive compared to other options, that nobody would make them anyways.

Terribly sorry. But either the food system needs a massive overhaul, or there's just not going to be room to fit these in.

Recipes like Barnacle Linguini make quite a situational sense. You wouldn't commonly farm barnacles just to take them to your mainland base and make barnacle linguini- instead during your seafaring adventure finding seaweed is a great sight because you can make all the cheap and easy recipes (except for barnacle nigiri). Meats and eggs are somewhat sparse in the sea while while fish, kelp, barnacles and corn are quite accessible.

The most problematic recipes for me are the ones that make little to no sense in many situations, with minute stats, often shadowed by the ingredients themselves or the recipes that can be made with the same ingredients:

> Ceviche: why 2 fish, I feel like someone made a mistake when converting fish values and ended up with this impossibly sad recipe. The fish value should be dropped to 0.5 or 1 and it should have great priority as a punishment for using ice/too much ice on fish recipes.

> Fish Tacos: Corn is by all means superior to a stick yet this recipe that replaces sticks from almighty fishsticks does nothing but make it restore half the health. If anything it should restore more health or have unique properties.

> Seafood Gumbo: Again, something might have gotten messed up with the fish values or priorities. Not only does this it lose priority race to Unagi and Surf n Turf, it's stats are a decreased version of Surf N turf while it's almost impossible to make on the surface. Only makes sense to make when there's no meat in the caves and even then you can make more unagis with the eals you're using for it.

> Mush cake: Given its pitiful values, it only makes sense to collect and combine all four mushrooms for the sleep resistance, which is barely effective. Perhaps the effect should be buffed a lot.

~Honorable mentions:

> Stuffed Eggplant: The recipe everyone likes to hate on, Bruised Eggplant is quite a better use of Eggplants as this only makes sense as a sub-standard hunger recipe for combining it with pitiful vegetables like red mushrooms, kelp and monster meat.

> Asparagus Soup: Makes sense only to give your asparagii healing properties, otherwise eating them cooked, using them for vegetable stinger or in other vegetable demanding recipes makes more sense.

> Banana Pop: Ruins bananas and Ice don't get to meet each other often. Okay stats but would make sense if Ice was removed or replaced with something more accessible in the caves.

> Barnacle Nigiri: Same problem with banana pop: okay stats but eggs and barnacles don't meet each other too often. You need a caged bird on board. Can we instead get the official Crow's Nest mod to the official game and make it double as a birdcage?

I mean nothing is stopping you from making them in reasonable quantities. Barnacles last awhile (15 days when cooked), and making a barnacle farm to grind them isn't too out of the way once you have it setup, with the added benefit of using excess barnacles to convert to eggs if you are running low on those. The stats on it are not too bad either given it's quick cook time and pretty simple recipe requirements all things considered, with the only gripe I have being the 10 day spoilage time.

It's not a perfect dish, but as a dish that fills a niche I personally think it's in an alright spot for it's accessibility.

im with you with the other recipes but ice doesnt spoil in a fridge so you can bring an stack to your cave base and enjoy their stats for such cheap recipes

especially usefull if you have a monkey farm or play wendy
