What if DST was themed like Dungeons and Dragons

Recommended Posts

During the night after a massive burn out after doing too much DST after ending on a pretty bad note of my real DnD campaign of testing the luck of The Deck of Many, I thought what if the DST cast + DS Exclusive characters had roles like D&D characters. And what would their roles possibly be, and imagining their design drove me crazy with inspiration.

I had an idea for a skin set that is fantasy themed. Never finished the full cast but I did make these three. Hope this isn't off topic...

I'd buy those Wes and Maxwell skins if they were in-game. Look great.

How is wes a bard, he should be a mime or a jestor

I could honestly imagine something like this in the form of an event like Forge or Gorge. I also play D&D, and it would be fun to see a mix of two of my favourite games. But of course, Klei is now focusing to the main content updates and that's a good thing.

I mean, there isn't a Jester or Mime class in 5e (I know there's a Jester kit for Bards in 2e) so I just went with what I thought was closest thematically to a mime.

I remember making a thread where I made D&D stat blocks for DST but I can't find it :\

lol I saved your Bearger to my D&D Beyond account. I'll see if I can find a link.

EDIT: FOUND IT

Hope you don't mind your whole collection on blast!

I plan on making a dnd campaign set in the Constant with my take on it, with my player's make up there own character's instead of using existing character's in dst.

any tips for meshing the two together would be helpful.

How about bringing a war between pigs and merms. That would give you useful npcs to lead the players, allow them to take sides (or not... skyrim style) and get quest. Some time during the war the shadows would creep out of the various holes making the island harder to travers with a chance to be attack by shadows.

The players would eventualy be sent out to investigate the caves, and this is where the dungeon crawling begins. You could throw in every caves biome and make an entire dungeon out of them. Throw some tiny toadstools in mushroom biome, get them attacked from the ceiling by the cave spiders or make them lost in the labirynth where the ancient guardian resides. The ideas just keep coming up. Hell, in the endgame you could transport them to the Forge.

As for mechanics, you either have to have all characters be good at crafting, or get them towns to get all the gear they require. You could swarm them with treasures after every encounter but that would get problematic since you would have to guess what they want and limit their creativity.

Honestly, I don't know if what I'm saying would make a good DnD campaign as I never played it. I would love to, but my anxiety forbids this. :(

EDIT: Also @TheDoughboy1917 I would totaly play Death Domain Cleric xD
