I remember once I forgot to set my farm and all my seeds were spoiled. When I planted them, most of them turned out to be weeds. Maybe it was just bad luck? Bad luck. Spoilage state doesn't do anything except affect what happens when you eat them and when they turn into rot. Edited March 15 by Cheggf
Mike23Ua
If I use a shovel to dig up collapsed rabbit holes or a hammer to demolish damaged Catcoon dens will those Respawn eventually or do they just go permanently extinct?

Catcoon dens will regenerate, but I'm pretty sure rabbit holes won't.

Quoting the wiki but TLDR yes, during summer, one at a time, 5 days per hole: In Don't Starve Together, digging up and destroying a Rabbit Hole will cause the game to internally trigger a Regrowth Event, which allows for the Rabbit Hole to regenerate itself after 5 days. This effectively makes Rabbit Holes renewable. However, this only applies during Summer and only one Rabbit Hole will be regenerated at a time, while the others will remain queued. In other words, if 4 Rabbit Holes were to be dug up simultaneously, it would take 20 days of Summer to regenerate them all.

I know that they will go into a destroyed state if something like Deerclops smashes them, but after so many days they’ll repair and Respawn Catcoon again, I want to know if I take a Hammer to these destroyed dens if that removes them permanently or if new ones will eventually spawn? Same question with Bees & Swamp Tentacle actually, a Wendy player can quickly demolish these- and I want to know if the game has a restoration period for things that get destroyed. I dont know the exact way in how they regenerate, but they should, they have been made renewable back in the YOTC event, I'd guess both hammered/burnt and "destroyed" dens. 4 hours ago, Mike23Ua said: Same question with Bees & Swamp Tentacle actually, a Wendy player can quickly demolish these- and I want to know if the game has a restoration period for things that get destroyed. Bees and angry bees will respawn in their own respective beehives, however, destroyed beehives will not respawn, so use the honeycombs wisely (otherwise you get them from BQ) Tentacles will not respawn unless you have a Wickerbottom, but Idk why you would want them back honestly
themightyone
So , I thought the Toadstool was always wet , but I just tried him in early summer and he was not wet. Was hoping to deal electric damage on it. Did this change ?
Juanasdf
IIRC the only mobs that are always wet are tentacles, tentacle pillars, merms and depth worms. 3 1
Captain_Rage
How many Tidy-Hidey Holes can spawn, or usually spawn, in a world? Eventually I discovered that there are only two in my longest lasting world. Three would have been neat to have. T_T

T_T I think @Hornete once said that there's a chance for a world to only have one tidy-hole, but that 2-3 is a more common number. If I remember corrrectly of course. Welp, I'm sure they'll provide you with a more adequate answer since I pinged them.
MadMatt
Does anyone know why befriended Pigmen won't chop down trees when you gnaw them as the Werebeaver? I assume it's because you aren't considered chopping since you aren't holding a tool, but I want to know the real reason of it is for curiosity sake. My guess is the problem isn't on the tool you're holding, but rather because the action is gnawing and not chopping, since pickaxe/axe works for both chopping and mining (like gnawing), but pigs do help you.

That'd suck if that's the only thing preventing Pigmen from following your example. If that's the case it should be simple to just make the action activate the pigs chopping ability like any other tool that can chop, since the Gnaw being a multitool doesn't affect functionality following the pick/axe's example
-Kiyo-
Wasn't there a way to re-grow fig vines from planted fig trees if they grew in a spot that wasn't easy to reach? I've tried burning one but so far it hasn't grown back. Did I misremember reading that they did?

ButterStuffed
Do grass geckos, in grass gecko worlds, respawn? Asking since Tallbirds do not scare grass geckos and they just get annihilated.

I believe they don't respawn unless you make a grass farm, they work the same way as non-grass gekko worlds
ButterStuffed
The wiki says the ocean trawler doubles the chance for fish to spawn when it is full. I checked the code and it appears only sharks, squids and gnarwails have a higher chance. I am not confident in my code reading. Do regular ocean fish spawn more when a full trawler is nearby? Mike23Ua
Why does the Xbox Version of DST still not have any Klei Official or Dedicated Servers to play on even though Klei added more official servers? Is it because of Sony? That’s the only reason I can think of why PC, PlayStation (and maybe even switch too) has them, but Xbox has the OPTION to select to search for them, but they don’t show up. Karitha
What's best world gen settings for megabase?
Juanasdf
9 minutes ago, Karitha said: What's best world gen settings for megabase? Depends on what you like, I usually turn anenemies to max. Some folks like to add more bee hives. I was tempted to add beached kelp too. As for things that you can change after world gen: I turn earthquakes off and make salt regeneration faster. That and some set pieces through mods, like a reed trap, dev graveyard and triple tusk biome. I also like to scout for worlds with biomes that make like a circle in generation, either to make a boat carousel in the middle or a fig plantation. Lastly, I disable meteorites after CC, for building in mosaic, and I turn on some events from time to time. If we were able, I'd disable dangling depth spiders dens too, I liked when we could burn their nests, and I love it if flares worked for that.
user1464576869
It's been a while for me and coming back this is confusing. Does this seemingly permanently greyed-out option do anything any more? Most settings it would affect like florid postern respawning I see is now in other tabs.
