zso17
As many of you probably know, there are several unimplemented characters in Don't Starve. You can check out them here: https://dontstarve.fandom.com/wiki/Unimplemented_Characters Wortox is one of them, and he was added to DST as a DLC character. There's one more character among these that I think would be a great addition to DST: Waverly. I think that a character who revolves around the more magical aspects of DST would be awesome. I made up some perks for her: - Waverly gets a 2x (or 1.5x?) damage modifier for weapons under the Magic Tab, except for the Shadow Sword (it's already really strong). (These weapons are the Bat Bat, the Ice Staff and the Fire Staff.) She might also get more Health from the Bat Bat. - Waverly can craft the tier 1 items under the Magic Tab without a Prestihatitator. - Bats are neutral towards Waverly. - As she is a wicked witch, Waverly loses Sanity during the day, but she doesn't lose Sanity during night. (She will be attacked by Charlie though.) - Waverly can't befriend Pigs or Bunnymen. - She might be a great magician, but she lacks the skills of hand-to-hand combat, therefore she gets a 0.5 damage modifier for melee weapons (except for the Bat Bat and the Shadow Sword, as the first one gets a 2x or 1.5x modifier and the second one is without any modification, respectively). EDIT: - Waverly doesn't lose Sanity from using or holding the Bat Bat, the Shadow Sword, the Night Armor, the Fire Staff and the Ice Staff. I was kinda brainstorming here, I know that these perks need more work, but I like the general idea. Feel free to share your thoughts on this. Have a nice weekend. P.S. ItsaGamer05
Sounds interesting. If she ever does become a character, it’d be very cool to see how she would fit in the lore.
SebastGaming7
I thought of something similar when I first saw Waverly so I think it’s a good idea
Well-met
But maxwell is already the "shadow tab" magician character.
ShadowDuelist
I think she should bring her own magic also, in a way that does not copy or replace wickerbottom. Maybe through alchemy, or by crafting a new special magic staff. Just now, Hell-met said: But maxwell is already the "shadow tab" magician character. Maybe maxwell could be the summoner mage type, Wicker the utility AOE mage type, and Waverly could be more offensive mage type

He has the Codex Umbra but he isn't a "trained" mage per se.... He discovered a lot of stuff by trial and error. He was a magician but that's obvs not the same. A person trained in dark arts might actually be kinda interesting lorewise. Specially referring to the ancients and maybe even the moon people. Alexias
I don’t like her design and her art is really not interesting.

FeagleSnorf
I feel like the original poster definitely watched The Beards video. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)
TurtleKitty
Maybe Waverly could be reworked as a Moon Witch?
Ooof
Waverly could be quite interesting as a witch, she could spawn with a wand already (or she'd have to craft it) in her inventory and a spellbook. She'll be able to read the spellbook containing numerous spells each having different ingredients and sanity needed to preform them (the rarity of the items increasing as the spells become stronger) and maybe even have a tab entirely dedicated to her, which lets her craft items/things helpful to other players or things she needs for spells. There was a mod created for DS with her https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=187180922
Sinister_Fang
As much as I'd like Waverly, these perks seem kinda bland in my opinion. No offense or anything.
HojMcFoj
Perhaps Waverly could have her own "Spellbook", being able to cast various spells at the cost of some of her stats.

Fuffles
Indeed, I hope Waverly really makes it in, she looks cool and the possibilities of Witchcraft as her perk would be amazing!

WainingWabbits
No, they need to balance the current rooster before implementing new characters

Rhysparadox
Reminds me of the Winona thing. Where many were upset because she is not a new Waifu material ... I think she would be a great extension and there would be a thousand ways to make her a witch. Maybe even something completely new, far away from what already exists. Or even something completely absurd, she as another healer. Maybe with herbs or something.

Make her be able to befriend merms, craft Rundown House, mass farm fishes in ponds, craft Mosquito bomb, could turn mobs into merms, can craft and use special blow darts with cheap recipe (1 reed, 1 stinger, 1 rope) with the downside of can not prototype a lot of science recipes because she hates science and considered as a monster Basically, the master of mob control and ranged weapon. Look at the mage heroes in DoTA game, you'll find a lot of interesting idea
