I actually have my own SU-DST ideas and though I thought of Ruby for Willow I decided that Obsidian - black with firey veins - was a cooler aesthetic for her. Wendy is one I'm having more problems with.

Ha!  I'm surprised anybody actually liked my SU/Don't Starve gems in the first place, let alone had ideas for their own.  Obsidian would work too, but I guess I went with Ruby 'cos it was the easier one to do on the Gemsona Maker, since their Obsidian doesn't come with already-made veins.  Heh.

(Also there's a CANON Obsidian in Steven Universe now, and she is forking.  Bad.Ass.  And SCARY.  And as cool as Willow is, I don't _quite_ see her as a six-armed, THREE-faced Hndu death-goddess, so maybe I'll stick with her being a Ruby for now.   : P)

Draw a Gem character by hand?  Eehhh...I don't think I'm so good at that style. And when I did one in deliberately my OWN style to see what it would look like, I got this:

Amusingly, only DAYS after I drew this, the first episode showing the _canon_ Aquamarine character aired...and instead of a relatively normal-human-sized-and-proportioned underwater engineer geek, she'sa b!tchy little brat pixie bully with a faux British accent.  Just goes to show the life of a Steven Universe fan.  The SECOND you come up with a design for an even _slightly_ well-known (or even not!) gem...expect the show creators to shoot down your idea.  : P)

(This time, it's spoilered simply because I didn't want a not-even-slightly-on-topic GIANT HONKING PICTURE taking up so much of the page.  In terms of plot it's like an _anti_-spoiler, since I guessed completely wrong.)

Oh, and did you notice?...Willow-Ruby's gem is CRACKED!  And yeah, that..kinda means the same thing as the word "cracked" does in a slang sense with humans.  I love doing little details like that...

That would be fusion Obsidian, but as with Garnet these fusion gems make up their names based on similarities to pre-existing non-fusion gems. The obsidian body I had in mind would be more black and glassy rather than stone, and would have Willow-based proportions. Fun Fact - it was seeing fusion Obsidian that inspired me to make that Willow's gem instead of Ruby / Carnelian / Cinnabar / Sulfur. I was thinking these could be the names of her various fusions.

Honestly, I'm kinda okay with wilson x willow. Everything else is meh, primarily because I'm not really one to ship in the first place.

However, the only real exception is webber x wendy, as long as the source doesn't get too weird, considering they're children you sick fu-

I don't think that Boost Wilson with Willow is a good idea.  Wilson is about 30 and Willow is still a teenager.

It was confirmed a couple of years ago that Willow is in her early 20's.

While true, it is a bit odd.

Wilson is around mid 30s, and Willow in her early 20s.

That could be rounded up to a 5-10 year difference.

Mentally though, Willow seems much younger.

willow is probably the closest one should a ship happen, shes somewhere in her 20s, albeit childish
