Like, He's legit just a monkey. Not even a special Monkey, sure he's the king, but all Monkeys are silly like that.
Webber was once a kid, so he's a mixture of Spider and Kid, Wilba talks as seen in her quotes, so she's a civilized pig person, but Wilbur is simply a Monkey who's deemed King. 
He's the Furry King.

But that's not what a Furry is. Furries act like humans. Wilbur, like you said, is just a monkey. Can't even speak [Your Language] for crying out loud!

The reason we "forgot" about Wilbur is because he's just not a furry. I mean he's furry, technically speaking with his animal coat and all, but he's not A furry.

I know I'm late to the party here, but if Webber is a furry, and Wilbur is a real monkey (monkey king), then should the spider monkeys obey Wilbur but be hostile to Webber?

I mean they're more spider than monkey...also they're not even monkeys. They're gorillas, and gorillas are apes. They're even called "spider ape" in the game's files.

But since they can't use a clever portmanteau of Spider and Gorilla like they did with the Boarilla, they had to settle with the misnomer of spider monkey.

Actually, I did know that, but I didn't think the "spider monkeys" as they are called were gorillas.  They do rather look like gorillas now that you mention it.  And, thank you so much for putting the NBC "the more you know" jingle in my head for the rest of the day.

The model is ripped straight off of The Forge's Boarilla. 

Boar + Gorilla = Boarambe.

This got added near the end of the beta. It's similar to the moggles making everything blue-ish. The screen occasionally darkens at the edges but then a sonic wave would come out to relight it.

It's used to see during the fog.

What I find interesting is that the hamlet citizens have painting of pig king, trimmed bushes in the shape of pig king/regular pigman/werepig ect.

Meaning that the populace is well aware of the pig population bellow them. I hope the dlc updates expand on the relation between the two groups somewhat.

They also have Beefalo heads, meaning that the citizens of Hamlet used to regularly travel down to the surface to hunt them.

Also, they don't seem to be affected by the full moon...wonder why that is.

They said on stream that there was something they couldn’t tell is, but hinted to look at the topiaries. I think you got it.

Not necessarily, no. The civilized pigs have paintings and sculptures depicting hunchback pigs and the pig king for the same reason that we have paintings and sculptures depicting cultures from hundreds of years ago. The hunchbacks are a part of the Hamlet's history.
If the theory that all of these different worlds are different realms is true, then I imagine the hunchbacks were considered to have mysteriously disappeared.

Going along with the realm theory again, I believe that beefalo actually originated in Hamlet are were taken to the constant by the hunchback pigs whenever they left Hamlet and migrated there. That would also explain why there are beefalo in the Elder Bog.

I think the realm of Hamlet is still in the Constant, it's just...above the RoG world.

Also the beefalo in the Gorge are different than the normal beefalo, they have stubby little horns instead of the majestic rack that is commonplace with other beefalo breeds.

Ok, so the response on stream to "Is Roc the biggest boss" was "Again, depends what you consider a boss."

It very much seems like the Roc is going to be more like a seasonal-effect rather than a combat encounter.

We can know that Gorge is connected to Constant because Mermified Goats went to sea and then swam to swamps...

Forge could be connected some way ( like a shipwrecked volcano ) and still those location would be somewhat magically sealed.

Hamlet's Waterfalls could be reason why the ocean around Constant and Elder Bog is so thicc
