Oh trust me, by the time we got out of that mess, hutch had nothing inside him anymore.. We also returned with a weather pain and uh, It was extremely satisfying. :D

A weather pain, good idea! Never thought of that... I usually use a fire staff or worms. I must try it!

Abaut Hutch: these monkeys are the worst. It's amasing how they steal everything. Earlier once I "parked" him down further from the village away so that they can't steal from him. When I was heading back from the ruins a hord of monkeys came from the other direction... and Hutch after them. That was the most irritating experience in DST so far.

But at least when I returned to them with a worm attack, I could collect a lot of beard hair and nightmare fuel. :)

Yesterday I made my first spiders-bunny men farm. Looked awesome!

Until today, when I was showing it to a friend of mine really happy, and forgot to drop my meatballs before going inside the pen. And you know what? Yeah you know what. RIP me, and I had nothing to resurrect on me so also RIP my world, my farm, my pretty base and all these white dirty jumping animals .

In prevention of all my future derp deads on bunny farms I want to take the time now to mention each one of them family members of all past generations here in front of you guys.

Oh, positive thread you say? The last part of the bigger paragraph is positive .

You got a Wigfridge AND a Fugu Hutch right there. You can always just hold f to win fight them.

They quickly stole his spear, And we were also being chased by nightmares, they were just lagging behind.

Its fine though, revenge was easily gotten later with a Weather Pain :>

Just last night we spawned the Deerclops in a Queen's Landing. The spiders won. However, it was night! So after they defeated him they all went to sleep and we picked up the sweet drops earned from sitting at a campfire and laughing.

Also when I got this, as it was the last Maxy head I needed :D

Though I wish my sound had worked in the recording when I got a present, said "I BET IT'S ANOTHER PLAID SHIRT" and it was indeed, a purple plaid shirt. I wanted to send it to @PeterA of the Purple Plaid Shirts but my recording software only picked up the game's audio, sadly. :p

Thank you Klei for this Unique Gaming Experience.

During our first days of our current DST world we came across that one bee biome that had a crap ton o Killer Bees (and normal bees)

I'm pretty sure this sums up the first days of Dont Starve in a nutshell

I ran past 13 killer bee hives, that is how you kill a fully upgraded wx

If you look at this objectively, this whole positivity thread has no point in existing unless it's a review. The reason? Isn't forums a place in order to discuss how a particular product functions (be informed about the facts) or how it could be improved (suggestions, criticism, feedback) instead of getting praise that serves no real purpose? It seems to me like some sort of hive-minded hype train rubbish that is created to brush away all of the issues that just keep nagging everyone. In fact, there's already a whole section dedicated to "Tales of life and death", which this thread seems to be all about, so at best, I'd say this is in the wrong section.

I feel I've created irony in that I've made a supposed conflict with the pure existence of this kind of positivity thread... within this thread. But to be honest, it's quite true that many here and devs themselves seem to push away a lot of the criticism that is given, even genuinely with a willingness of the game being improved. Why though, I have no idea, but positivity bias is very strong here.

This post will most likely either get ****ted on or be ignored, I bet.

Forum is also what people do about it as long as it's ok with the rules. And saying fun moments about the game or why we enjoy it is ok with the rules, i guess.

Today, i'm really happy. I'm still trying to make a mod (since two years and half, at least), and i do little steps and little steps. And today i manage to do a part of this mod i wasn't sure was "possible" (since in modding everything is possible, but my skill isn't great). And i'm happy because i like modding and i like Don't starve, which is probably the game i find the most fun modding and the most accessible about modding (still hard for me but more accessible than a lot of games). And i especially like the modding community because they are really helpful and i'm grateful.

I been wanting to get into modding too, I can't find that old topic (I feel bad for not remembering their name) but they had an idea for a huge expansion DLC. and I want to one day make a mod like that (i'm a bit inspired by Isaac AntiBirth to get into modding in general). Also I have been really enjoying the recent update. Hopefully they balence some of the stuff around a bit and maybe add more stuff t the antlion so it's less tedious to visit nearly every day but I'm sure they will, I just want to say to Klei  thanks for being such an involving community that takes their time to listen to the community and do their best to make people happy and making all these updates FREE and just doing a bang up job!

Praise falls under feedback. The devs aren't robot slaves, afterall.

It looks like they could use some appeasement lest they add more features that punish you for reasons pretty much unrelated to mastery/resourcefulness.

I want to thank you ´ladys and gentleman of Klei for releasing the free A New Reign content.

I played DST for about 1200 hours (had a great time) made my first (and only) mod for DST (Black Swordsman Guts) and some of my suggestions became even part of the game (War Saddle damage buff).

The devs are very passionate people that try to make an incredible game and I am very thankful for there hard work.

DST has a very good base to play it for another 1200 hours, there are several cool bioms, mobs, bosses, items and characters that could be done and Klei is actually one of the few developers (together with From Software- Dark Souls, Bloodborne) where I don't mind DLC at all, you do a great job.

P.S.

Please make the Antlion fightable, maybe like the Quacken, but with small dust devils (twisters) instead of waves.

Oh for...for EFF'S sake, what the _hell_ problem do you have with people being NICE?!  We're beyond asking _you_ to be nice; now you won't even "allow" others to?  Oh, and you stop this "hive-mind" bs right the phrack now.  "Wake up, sheeple!"  Maybe we JUST WANT TO HAVE SOME CHEERFULNESS IN OUR LIVES, IS THAT SO WRONG.  _Especially_ after the poopstain that was last year, and the (hopefully only!) four years we're _already_ starting to have under self-proclaimed God-Emperor Douchebag...

Also, you necro'd a two-months-old thread to say this?  _Really_?  You are THAT bound and determined to bring bitterness, anger and sorrow into everyone's lives, that you can't even let an OLD thread about positivity that has NOTHING TO DO WITH _YOU_ go by without wrecking it?  WHY?!   If something isn't for you, why can't you, say, _just not join in with it_?!  How 'bout you just walk by and leave it alone?  What a concept!

Yes  Your post _did_ get trashed.  But not because we're some mindless idiot "hive mind" that just brainlessly takes whatever Klei gives us, without question.  Because of YOU!!  Because YOU did a bad and mean and negative thing. You.  We're mad, at _you_.  At least, I am.  God DAMN I wish I hadn't unignored that post, but I let morbid curiosity get the better of me... "Wow, what could anybody possibly have to say against _this_ thread?  What is Lumina responding to?"  DAMMIT.  Euede, I'm guessing you don't act like this towards other actual human beings in real life, 'cos you probably wouldn't have the ability to type anymore.

Okay.  You want criticism?  Fine.  I, myself, have been complaining about how the timing mechanism on the Antlion has a lot of problems.  Right here in this very General Discussion forum.  See?  Even I, the one that keeps saying "Stop being negative all the time!" can be negative.

Only complain sometimes does _not_ = mindless hive-mind.  Just because we don't constantly criticise _everything_ just for the sake of criticising, does not mean we're happy with _everything_.  There is.  A difference.  Negativity, especially uncalled for and unnecessary negativity, does not automatically make you _right_.

It just makes you That Guy at the party who's determined to wreck it for everyone else.

It's not in the wrong section. Tales of Life and Death are for threads with tales of their adventure in a server that usually leads to death. This is a compilation not only of "I died" adventures, but all kinds of things that happened in your server/game. I believe this does fit the general discussion section, but that's just me, at least.

Are you talking about Unnatural Selection? If so, that's still going to be a thing, don't worry! The team's just finishing other mods (quite a lot of other mods, 5 character mods to be exact, not counting the re-work of another one) but, if we think positively, full-on US development will re-start... early 2018? Maybe? We're counting on that, at least :p

Are you talking about this thread? The post above his was posted 2 hours before his was, so if anything, he wasn't the necro.

If his post annoyed you that much, send him a calm PM explaining why, but don't post this on the thread as these kinds of posts only tend to lead to arguments and de-railment. Really, either let it pass or bring it to PM, that way the lesser the chances are of the thread de-railing. If the user offends you in the PM, you can also report private messages, so don't worry about that :)

WX was my go to character, but I pick character based mostly on who already is in the game. If there is no Wickerbottom then I pick Wicker over WX, since she does pretty decend job in everything to be honest. I kinda became Wicker main this way.
As a lagger, I really apprieciate On Tentacles book. Used 3 books to slaughter really large befalo herd to get horns and stuff. All the meat got me almost full piggyback of gold. I also used tentacles to kill gooses. It just rocks. Tentacles are great.
Lureplant + reed trap + Applied Horticulture is another great thing.

It's quite funny how I refuse to play mod characters. Sometimes they are overpowered or they abbilities totally don't match DS world. And then there's Wickerbottom, who doesn't believe in ghosts but can summon lightings just by reading.
Still waiting for that GoH drop.

This bouncy dude annoys everyone and everyone knows this ;_;

The most fun I had was when the raid bosses were released and looking for ways to solo or making it easy to fight like toadstool, beequeen before unnecessary buff, and klaus (missed opportunity for klaws.../shrug ).

Oh god, yes.  That's totally one of the most distinctive things about it--the art style.  When I first saw Don't Starve, I wasn't like "Pff, it's just like Minecraft, because you make things and mine!  SEEN IT!  Why don't you just play Terraria if you want 2D Minecraft?"  I was like, "Huh, this looks cool and stylish and fun, and I like its sense of humour and how it's a semi-roguelike in which you can actually make progress!  Tell me more..."

It also does legit have its own mechanics, pacing and gameplay style, as compared to other survival games.

As for fun times...well, there was that time me and my best buddy Woodie went to sleep on a cold winter night to wake up at dawn, run over to the Winter's Feast tree and see--a present!  With moggles in it!  Fancy outfits, sugar cookies for breakfast and my kitty leaping playfully around the tree.  That's a proper holiday in _my_ book.

My sister is totally different than me when it comes to computer, playing games etc. She just doesn't play games, and when she rarely do, she sucks. When she saw me playing DST she found art style really cool and original, so I bought it for her and she joined us. Yes, she sucked, but we all did these days. The difference is that she still does :D

The unique Tim Burton art style has got to be one of the biggest selling points that differences Don't Starve / Don't Starve Together to all survival games.

Me and my father's reasons for loving the game. While the story got me into the game so hard, father is really loving the visuals that I keep in my reference book and now is asking me questions about the universe.
