Silven found it! Oh glorious day that his pen was reunited with him. He quickly shot around and went to the others to see that they were... Staring? Rather, two seemed to continued to stare with no big interaction besides that. Perhaps this was a ritual? Would this too summon some giant creature to engulf them? Or was this some kind of communication that he didn't know about. He thought it would be a good idea to stare at his pen- maybe this communication can be transferred to object so next time the pen could tell him where it was at.

Syndir nearly didn't notice Mallii, but just narrowly managed to pull himself away from his current situation.

His head craned to face them and he burst out laughing. "And here I was thinking all you mega crabbits were stiff!"

He put his hands on his knees and quelled his laughter. "Alright if you wood be so kind to retrieve my satchel of only the best coffee beans in all the worlds. I willow you one."

Malii immediately threw her head back and burst into loud laughter, only barely managing to say "aw, don't be such a sap. It's pine. you don't have to do anything for me. oakay, i'll be right back with your coffee greens!" Malii wasn't very successful in calming herself down, and she continued to laugh even after she dived underwater and began her search for the satchel.

With your permission, I'll share with you ladies and gents the character sheet of... uh, my character. I already showed this to our beloved Chris and he gave me the seal of approval. Any questions or suggestions? Just let it out.

Name: Nadas

Race: Gecko (female, 25 years old)

History:

Spoiler

Nadas always had an affinity to herbs and alchemy, becoming the town’s physician at a relatively young age after her teacher passed away. Her mother fell incredibly ill after her tribe had to migrate somewhere else due to war. It forced them to leave their ancestral home. The journey was perilous and killed many as they traversed through dangerous and uncharted lands. Nadas tried to help as many of her siblings as she could but did not have the power to cure them all. The tribe’s shaman spoke of an exotic herb that grew underground close to where they were at the moment they settled— weird of him to know since those lands were unknown to them, but Nadas nevertheless heard him out for the sake of her people—, said to be able to cure the disease that was spreading through the Geckos as well as enhance their endurance for the journey ahead. Without much thought, Nadas embarked into a quest to find such herb. She managed to do so, albeit with some difficulty and the loss of a few comrades. After she arrived back home with the plant, she brewed up a concoction that was supposedly able to counter the disease. The recipe for this poultice was within a book that the shaman kept hidden from everyone, due to its contents being considered relative to blood magic. The last thing she remembers was reading the recipe and crafting the cure. She woke up with a bleeding cut that covered almost the entirety of her leg, stranded on some desert island. No parrot to greet her.

She spots the remnants of a campfire and what seemed to be the remains of a ship construction site. In the distance, she spots a moving object, it was black and was heading southeast. Perhaps said ship. Perhaps something else. But it moved. The place had many mixed scents as well, people actually were there moments ago, and she missed the chance to have company in such a desolate and forsaken place. She needed to treat the poison, then rest... And then follow that direction. She grabbed the venom gland she had acquired from the snake that attacked her and had no other option but to consume it, lest the poison ultimately killed her... Her constitution worsened... It was going to be hard to survive in this place alone.

Personality: Reactive. Scholarly. Neutral. Motherly.

Appearance: 5ft tall. Skinny. Soft, tiny, light green scales; smooth to the touch, seemingly wet at all times. Light sandy eyes, slitted pupils. White spots on the entire backside of her body, from head to tail. White smooth hide on her front from chin to belly.

Spoiler

nadas_by_ysulyan-da9syl7.png

Strengths:

  • She is an herbalist and an alchemist, and has access to medicinal knowledge such as bandages and antidotes, poultices, salves and alike.
  • She can analyse ingredients and decide whether they are useful for curatives or not (for customized/non-DS items and recipes).
  • She is resistant to high temperatures.

Weaknesses:

  • She is by no means a fighter and gets rather nervous in one.
  • She is frail.
  • Exertion can cause pain on her right leg.
  • The lower her sanity, the more her leg hurts, burns and stings, eventually leaving her crippled and constantly flinching.
  • Direct contact with nightmare fuel against her wound can be quite dangerous to her health and sanity.
  • She freezes at a higher rate than most.
  • To sleep at night she needs considerable warmth and keep her body temperature stable to prevent getting sick.

Etc:

  1. The necklace she has is not a Construction Amulet. It is simply a green gem she found that she attached to a bronze chain that has sentimental value, no nightmare fuel involved.
  2. She'd rather wear a grass suit or any kind of clothes made of grass at all times unless survival demands something else.
  3. Her leg wound does not seem to heal entirely even after proper care. Bandages stop the bleeding though.
  4. Despite her reptilian appearance and genetics, she has the same sight as any other human.
  5. She knows how to swim but she is not an amphibian.
  6. She tends to randomly snatch bugs with her long, sticky tongue out of nowhere and instinctively.
  7. Unlike most of her brethren, she is not quite active at night and has the sleeping schedule of a human.
  8. Like most lizards, she can throw away her tail in case of danger.

(cheers :B)

(Youknowwho, you probably didn't see my post because I think it was glitched or something. Anyway, scroll up to see it, because it involves Malii)

(Also, I got permission from Chris to bring in my character. Speaking of my character, here's an updated sheet)

Spoiler

Name: Wallan
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Appearence: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=718571689 The right half of his head looks shadow-y, nightmare-fuel colored with a black eye and a white pupil. His right hand is also nightmare-fuel colored. (Might be cursed) Has multiple stages of insanity: Laughing like a maniac, finding everything funny... creepy... then, power, which quickly gets to his head. Then, the shadow side of him controls what he says and some of what he does. (Killing not included)
History: Disappeared one day. Your character might've seen a "MISSING" poster of him, but without the shadow-side. He doesn't like to talk about what happened, and he barely even KNOWS what happened.
Personality: Seems nice, can be easily angered if his shadow eye is touched. He also appears to be shy.
Powers: He can bend shadows to his will, and can even teleport.
Weaknesses: The shadow side of him is very sensitive, and it seems to have a mind of it's own sometimes. The shadows he makes are weak, and teleporting can make him light-headed.

Malii found the little pouch full of coffee beans slowly sinking in the water. She quickly grabbed it before it would sink off into the unknown depths below. Hooray! The mission had been completed! Malii swam up to the surface and did a triumphant pose!

...

She could feel something on top of her head. She lowered her head so that her tiny little arms could grab it to solve the great mystery of "what is the thing?"

Turns out it was a little human with a really weird face. Malii gasped. Oh no! Was it dead?!!? Did Malii kill it?!?!

Malii decided to answer these questions by gently poking the little human in the stomach and hoping that it wakes up.

Malii sighed with relief. Imagine the chaos that would ensure if her friends thought she had killed the little human! She'd be alone again...

Thinking about what didn't happen wasn't the task at hand right now! Malii returned to the boat, holding the tiny human comfortably in one arm, and held out the item she had quested for infront of Syndir, the mystical pouch of the coffee beans!
