i dunno winter is hard enough for newbies. What kinda food would it even be? like a kebab reskin or something?

bunny stew is useful for new players, since its easy healing for them and gives warmth during the winter where most new players die in.

Bunny stew is a buff to morsels. Everybody already used monster meat to make meatballs, all this is doing is allowing you to make a new healing dish if you have a lot of morsels for whatever reason.

I find this nerf pretty good, I mean, it's a nerf to a dish that's a godsend, but we still have that 1 monster meat + 3 ice option. Spiders are way more plentiful than rabbits anyway  

Bunny stew is pretty much a buff anyway, it's an easy warmth and health option for newer players in winter

Plus that all new players just need to punch a mole for a morsel and get ice easy in winter for easy healing.

I totally see this as a buff for morsels, 1 morsel 3 ice = 20 health is way too good xD

This is not a meatballs nerf. It's just a new dish. Noone makes meatballs out of 3 ice and 1 morcel. Bananas also got a new dish with 3 ice.

Also, meatballs are not even good food source, unless you are trying to get rid of the poison.

Well, just eating stuff on the go is a lot better. Like cooked meat and raw carrots, or cooked monster meat, raw meat and shrooms if sanity is not a concern for you. If you want to get higher hunger value however, cook meat stew. Other cookpot dishes are not good for anything but removing poison, or restoring sanity/hp. 

Of course you can still make stacks of meatballs and bundle them but I can't see what character would benefit from this. 

The only thing I can think of is Warly early game as meatballs are cheap and he can't eat food raw either way.

It also apparently raises your temperature. So a bit less hunger for health + warmth.

I don't really understand the hatred toward meatballs in general lol. The amount of food sources plummet during winter, the dish availability is justified for beginner players who actually wish to progress and be able to keep enjoying the game itself, instead of feeling forced to scurry all over the internet for guides rather than progressing naturally. And as for the dish itself, there are always better alternatives, because it spoils moderately, and barely restores health and sanity, which the player should be worrying about too after all of these random hound attacks and other stuff.

Yeah I don't know why people want to nerf meatballs. It'd do next to nothing to people who know about better food sources, so it's sort of like "I hate new players and want them to die for no reason" sort of thing. The only issue I have with meatballs is that the users of said food source frequently refuse to ever eat anything else or even entertain the idea that it's possible to eat anything else, but I don't want to take meatballs away from them just because they're a little silly.

From a design perspective I don't like how limited Bunny Stew and Banana Daiquiri were made; Daiquery has literally 1 recipe, banana + 3 ice, 2 if you count cooked banana differently and while there is some variation to 0.5 meat you can use in banana stew, it's still just "<1 Meat + 3 ice", I think it should be much with any meat + 3 ice or even meat + 2 ice combos.
