  • Spiders no longer return to burning or frozen dens
  • Mutating a spider in a backpack no longer crashes the game
  • Fixed some animation flows when feeding spiders
  • Fixed a potential memory leak issue with the spider buffs
  • Fixed a looping sound issue when dens burned
  • Fixed a bug where spiders would get stuck on the wrong sleep state when dropped from the inventory
  • Bedazzled or follower spiders no longer have a negative sanity aura on non-Webber players
  • Players can no longer shave dead, burning or frozen spider dens
  • Fixed a bug where Bedazzled spiders would still attack players unprovoked
  • Fixed Webber not being faster on Webbed tiles on the client
  • Fixed a bug where any character could pickup sleeping spiders by pressing space
  • Fixed some missing symbols on the spiderden
  • Webber can now eat raw meat with no penalty
  • Fixed some symbol issues with Webber’s idle when he wore a hat
  • Nurse spiders no longer heal dead spiders
  • Fixed a sound issue with the Healing Glop
  • Fixed a bug causing Malbatross to be unsummonable after reloading the world unless you went fishing.
  • Followers will now retain their loyalty to you upon reconnecting to the world if you are close enough to them when rejoining.
  • The Attack button will no longer target spiders as Webber.
  • Fixed a crash when unloading mods with custom world setting groups.
  • Fixed a bug causing modded world setting icons to not appear until you scrolled the world settings page a tiny bit.
  • Fixed a texture issue with Silk Robes when using the pickaxe.

The F-key attack? Perfect!

I haven't tested it as of this new bug-fix came out, but Bedazzled/befriended spiders kept attacking all Wall types, likewise killing Chester/Hutch. Hope that was fixed or will be fixed as well. Ty!

This is... sooo close to being amazing, but it's not quite there.

For those who don't know, this bug fix also applies to spiders in your inventory, meaning that if you put a loyal spider in your inventory, you can take that spider with you in and out of the caves without losing its loyalty. This would be simply amazing for the degree of portability it adds to spiders, which is one of their main advantages compared to other followers.

Unfortunately, there is one problem: it's practically impossible to put loyal spiders in your inventory. (Yes, technically you can do it with the Pan Flute and the Nap Sack, but both of these items are prohibitively expensive for this._

Instead, you have to go the incredibly unintuitive and just plain clunky process of waiting until daybreak, using the Shoo Box to dismiss all your loyal spiders, pick up a handful of them (inventory space is pretty limited and each spider takes one slot, so you'll probably have to leave a good chunk of them behind anyway), then feed those select few again to retame them.

I can live with everything else, but can we please have a way to pick up spiders that are already loyal to us without losing said loyalty? I mean, they are literally willing to die for Webber, I doubt they'd have much of an issue with being picked up (and hugged) by him. You can make it a right-click exclusive action, so it won't be done by accident or something.

It would be cool if the top hat could invert or remove the aura instead.

Can't you use a trap to pick them whenever you want? Last I checked it worked. The fact that each spider takes 1 inventory slot limits more since spiders more than other creatures rely on numbers.

Edit: trap can be used, but spiders loose loyalty that way, which is sad.

It would be nice if we could make a really big backpack that only holds spiders like the candy bag

Even if the trap did work, is having to trap your own followers to pick them up any more intuitive than having to dismiss, pick them up and retame them all?
