cantbeatdaboss Posted May 31, 2019 Share Posted May 31, 2019 I know that we have no confirmation that the events are even coming back in the first place but I wanted to make this poll anyway just to get an idea of what people want most. Keep in mind that a brand new event would mean less base game content than the other two and that there are new characters that might have abilities in the events. I didn't know if I should put this in Forge or Gorge so I just put it in general discussion because it has a little of both and affects base game a little. (I personally hope for the Gorge's return. ^ ^) Wortox - A limited supply of soul hops to use throughout the entire trial? (Perhaps able to regain souls when pigeons/crabs/beefalo are slaughtered.) Role: Runner Wormwood - Able to plant seeds without needing to till? Role: Farmer Warly - Something cooking based, obviously! WilsonGuy_ Posted June 1, 2019 Share Posted June 1, 2019 If I would ever like any event to come back, I would only like it if the original skins were unavailable and optionally with new skins added for it instead. OR carrying over the "Heirloom" concept, and making skins that were obtained before some precise date (conclusion of the first Forge/Gorge event) so there's a tiniest difference between an item obtained by a player that participated and worked hard to get the price, and an item obtained from the shop/weaved over a year after the original event concluded, just to satisfy both sides, so it is more or less a win - (kinda)win. Spoiler I never liked making event skins available outside events in the first place, and I still hate that idea. I really loved Klei when they first introduced the idea of limited items, because I like to feel responsible for my mistakes if I ever commit any, and now I feel slightly disgusted by the idea of making these once-exclusive and rare items available for everyone, even people that have no idea what the event was and just get these skins from the shop without doing any work at all to get these items. Besides, re-introducing and re-introducing the same stuff all the time makes us get used to that content, and then we just don't enjoy it as much anymore. I also greatly dislike the concept of Heirlooms. It's made a mess of my collection. I understand it's a way of "repaying" those who spent money via market for some skins, but for any other collector it's a kick in the kneecaps. In the Forge trailer, it shows 6 of the survivors putting the ancient key into the ancient gateway and getting sucked into the Forge, then it shows Charlie closing the gateway. In the Gorge trailer, only 3 of the survivors were there. Wilson, Wendy and Wickerbottom. But what about the other 3 of the survivors, Wolfgang, Wigfrid and Willow? I want to see another event that involves them in the trailer to show where they went and how they got separated, to continue the story. And if Klei will ever continue with the events, I would also like to see the rest of the survivors in the animations of new events, specifically Maxwell. Like maybe an entire event of the survivors(who didn't get sucked into the gateway in the first place) trying to find or rescue the others.
