A mod I thought would be a good balanced character. Warfarin is a twelve year old orphan of unknown gender, who also holds no value to human life. They kill who they must to survive and without question, they steal what they must. They are also mute.
100 sanity (Drains half as fast in darkness, but twice as fast as default from monsters)
Shows a heart above head when examining animals, and a broken heart at monsters. Anything else will just be '...'
Hitting the designated jump key will make Warfarin jump a considerable distance forwards. Good for evading! Hitting jump again in mid air will make Warfarin roll upon landing, rolling works the same as before. Just jumping costs no hunger, but rolling costs 0.50 hunger. Hitting jump key a second time in mid-air will cancel out the roll command.
Jumping over a wall will make Warfarin climb and vault over it, making the jump go considerably farther.
Can jump over gaps in terrain, up to about 2 tiles of water. Having a wall at the edge makes the jump go EVEN LONGER! Costs 1 hunger to go over water. If you miss and land in water, you'll be teleported in a random location preeeeeeety far away, with 5 health, 25 sanity, and 10 hunger taken away.
Jumping when real close to a tree will make you climb into the tree. In trees, you CAN be attacked, but not seen by unalerted hostiles - even if a lightsource is nearby. When in trees, clicking anywhere on the screen will make Warfarin face where you clicked. And the jump key will make Warfarin jump out of the tree in the direction clicked. When in trees, clicking on another tree will make Warfarin face that specific tree.
Clicking on an enemy and then jumping will make Warfarin leap out of the tree and stealth-attack! No more of that clunky roll stuff!
After jumping out of a tree, hitting the jump key when real close to another tree will make you quickly hop into that new tree.
Wearing the Hidey Hood or Hallowed Mask will augment your jumps!
When jumping with the hidey hood, you will drop a web trap behind you that will greatly slow enemies down or a short duration of time. But, in return, you'll take 60% extra damage for a few seconds.
Jumping with the Hallowed Mask on will envelop you in a brief cloud of 'Black Death' as you move, at the cost of sanity. Think of it as a combat charge, kinda.

Deals 75% default damage.
Runs slightly faster than default.
Can pickpocket pigmen at dusk.
Picks up everything instantly: Berry bushes, grass, crock pots, drying racks, etc.
Can hide in trees, berry bushes, tall grass, and saplings. Doesn't work if the saplings or tall grass has been picked.
Can hide in neutral treeguards for a mobile cover!
Enemies will see you if they get too close. You're easy to see in the day, hard to see at dusk, and are undetectable at night.
Being near light-sources (Save the moggles) will break stealth. You can be in the light of a fire, just not -too- close.
Can backstab unalerted enemies for 100% weapons damage, an extra 100 directly to their health, and make them bleed for 12 seconds. Must have a dagger equiped.
Get 2 per craft.
The explosive throwing knife explodes for an extra 100 damage and ignites the target.
Attack twice as fast as any other weapon.
Backstabbing deals 450 damage (+weapon) and makes enemies bleed for 6 damage every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.
High Damage- lessens as he durability lowers
Can right-click on enemies when hidden to teleport and backstab them at the cost of durability
Can be maintained with purple gems
Not a dagger
Poisons all nearby enemies upon striking.
Pretty Short Bow:
Opens up the 'arrow tab' above the middle of the inventory bar. Plop an arrow in there and you can fire it by attacking!
If you have a normal arrow in the bow, and 3 hounds teeth in your inventory, you can instantly convert them into a more powerful spikey arrow.
Require the bow to use!
Very long range.
Very high damage
15% for arrow to survive and be retrievable.
Shoot walls to aggro all enemies in the area to the wall. Hay walls have a short aggro range, then wood walls, then stone walls, and ruin walls have the largest range.
No damage, ludicrous damage to the Dragonfly
Makes you cold when you're holding it.
Explodes after 1-2 seconds of impact, dealing Ludicrous damage to everything nearby
Makes you overheat when holding it.
Shooting them occasionally ignites you.
Makes enemies bleed for 6 damage every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.
Killing birds and rabbits gives twice the karma loss.
Shooting even enemies or bosses will give 2 bad karma per shot. It's a pretty nasty weapon!
Throw at your feet to make all enemies stop targetting you! Makes you untargetable for 3 seconds.

Can be used to blow a storm of 'Black Death' around you, syphoning health from enemies to heal yourself.
Link, based visually on The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
Link comes equipped with a number of "Hero's" items. All of the Hero's items are unbreakable, and uncraftable. So don't lose 'em. Link is impervious to sanity loss, owing to his adventuring experience. He's seen things like you wouldn't believe. Link, as a seasoned adventurer, is stronger, faster, and tougher than average, with a strong stomach, but has a faster metabolism, and a smaller stomach, due to how consistently hard he pushes himself.
Link is perhaps best at surviving through hunting and eating what he can kill.
Keep an eye on that hunger gauge.

Writhe is one of the shadow creatures, but he was mentally challenged, and could never fit in. So the others bullied him, trying to kill him off. Maxwell pitied Writhe, and defended him best he could. As he grew weaker, his last option was to send Writhe out into the open world, as far away from the other shadows as possible. Writhe sees Maxwell as his farther figure.
-Hunger = 180, and can only eat meat and nightmare fuel.
-Sanity = 1, and constantly drains.
- Short vision
-Can't equip any hand-slot items due to him having blades for arms. Instead he has the armguards listed below.
+Walks 1.2 times normal speed.
+Teleports a short distance when attacked.
+Attacks deal more damage over time. Instead of attacking once, he jumps into the air and wildly slashes at enemies. While he does more damage, this can not be interrupted and leaves him vulnerable. He also does lots of damage unarmed.
Can examine shadow creatures!
Eating nightmare fuel will give back:
Daddy's Spare coat: The dapper coat Maxwell wears in adventure mode! While wearing it, Writhe will stop losing and gain sanity during the day, and the sanity loss during night is slowed by a lot.
Sack of Helpful goods: A sack that spawns next to him when a new game starts. Gives 3 charcoal, 2 meat, and the Divine-O-Pones in adventure.
Divine-O-Phones: Headphones he only gets in adventure mode. Not only do they tell you where the things are, you can also make them play music by right-clicking on them while they're equipped.
Rather Plain Armguards: Works as a mining pick and axe. Mines at 20% speed and chops at 30%. Very slow!
Swiss Arm-y Guards: Works as a mining pick, axe, and shovel. Mines at 30% speed and chops at 40% normal. Gives an extra 12 damage to your attacks. Still very slow. Requires science machine.
Kingly Armguards: Works as a mining pick, axe, hammer, and shovel. Mines at 50%, chops at 60%, hammers at 40%, and gives an extra 18 damage to your attacks. Requires Alchemy Engine
Handy Man's Maces: Works as a mining pick, axe, shovel, and hammer. Mines at 70%, chops at 80%, and hammers at 60%. Gives and extra 24 damage, and also functions as a divining rod. Requires a repaired Pseudo Science Station to craft. So you need to go to the ruins!
Flamey-Wamey Thingadoo: A long-lasting torch. Breaks after running out of fuel. You can also shoot fireballs at enemies to ignite them, but this uses a lot of fuel.
Mole-Whacker Mollet: Acts as a very weak hammer. Can also be used to whack moleworms. and pick them up to make the rain hat. Only available with Reign of Giants.
Sticky Snatchers: Act as a bugnet. Simple as that.
Known issues: If you quit and rejoin a save while wearing the Divine-O-Phones, you have to take them off and put them back on for the music to work.
A character mod based on Satori Komeiji from Touhou Project.
Satori is a mind reading youkai. Her ability made her hated by humans and other youkai who fear their secrets being exposed, but made her loved by the animals who normally can't be understood. After knowing that her little sister is lost somewhere in the island she decided to look for her to bring her back home.
-Wendy's attack modifier
-Can read the thoughts of the creatures around her.
-Can tame pets by giving them food. Every pet has their specific taming item(s).
-The animals don't fear her but she is not liked by humanoid creatures such as pigmen.
-Has a high base sanity but loses it for hurting the animals who trust her.
-Has a sanity bonus while she is in caves.
-Rabbit: Gives a sanity boost. Can be picked up.
-Beefalo: Assists Satori in combat and protects her from any danger. Drops manure from time to time.
-Koalefant: Defensive pet. Prevents freezing in winter. Drops manure from time to time.
-Tallbird: Attack pet. Can be fed monster meat but doesn't like new pets.
-Custom art, portraits and icons (including minimap and morgue ones).
-Custom character strings.
-Modified behaviour on several npcs.
-Custom strings on several npcs (thoughts).
-Custom battle AI for pets. They stop attacking their target if Satori runs away.
-Hunger system for pets. You need to feed them or they'll leave her.
-Custom sanity penalties.

-Compatible with RoG but she doesn't have any special feature from the DLC yet.
-The mod is tested without any other mod activated. If you have a mod that changes behaviours/creatures prefabs it might not work well.
-Add more "thoughts" to npcs.
-Add more tameable pets.
-Add Koishi (Satori's little sister) as an unlockable character.
-Rewrite/modify the game's ending.

I love making mods for Don't Starve. Mostly just testing out all the possible perks, stats, etc. So, here's one of my personal favorites!
William J. Danninghar was an inventor - much like Wilson. But his interests were more into robots and mechanical stuff. He now finds himself in a strange, unfamiliar place full of creatures beyond his wildest imaginings.
-Slower than most characters by just a small bit.
-Is weaker than most characters.
+Starts off with 5 gears and a cane
+Very high sanity
+Already knows the Science machine recipes (like Wickerbottom)
+Very slow passive health regen.
+Has a 0.1x armour bonus
+Enters Nightmare Form when sanity is below 45.
Nightmare Form stats (that differ from normal William's)
+ Deals more damage
+Replaces science bonus with magic bonus (Prestihatilator recipes become available)
+Gets a cool new voice
-Hunger depletes significantly faster.
You need to craft mechanical what-not (a new item) and a shell for the specific robot to creat your robot. These pieces are found in the Refine tab!
You can use a hammer or wrench to tell your companion to leave you alone and then feed them a carrot (seeds for reapers) or gears to heal them and make them follow you again!

Seras Victoria, The Fledgling Vampire
"Seras was a member of the D11 elite police response unit, until she was mortally wounded by Alucard in his destruction of a vampire masquerading as a priest. On the verge of death, she chose to allow Alucard to turn her into a vampire. Serving beneath Alucard, she now works for the Hellsing Organization and deals with the consequences of her decision."
Project background and goal
I've always liked Seras character from the Hellsing Anime, and in a game like Don't Starve where all characters seem to be going off the edge in one way or another, Seras as a reluctant human-turned-blood-sucking-monster seemed oddly fitting. I will focus on making Seras fun to play more than "balanced", with this meaning that playing Seras should be a different experience from playing other characters in don't starve. Playing her meant to be challenging in its own way.

Character model changes depending on power (5 models)
Regenerate hp at night (when not starved).

Can only eat meat-type items. Partially meaty food such as meatballs have reduced effect.
Takes no damage eating monster meat, but still loses sanity

Tweaking, polishing and extra testing.
The mod is in a stable state.
Tips and tricks
1. Seras is very weak during the day, especially when hungry. Avoid all confrontation with enemies when possible during the day. Even a few frogs can be dangerous to a starved Seras during the day.
2. Seras has night vision and she is extremely strong during the night as long as she is above 60 hunger. You can use this time to kill spiders, beefalo, werepigs and other dangerous opponents with relative ease.
3. Caves are considered constant night, and since Seras excels at nightly adventures you should not hesitate to explore the lands underground.
4. Seras unique weapon is quite affordable and has the same power as a tentacle spike it drains Seras own health when used. Using it during the day or when starved is not recommended
5. You may want to sleep through the full moon.
Dealing with hunger and health
1. Seras cannot eat non-meat food, but this does not stop you from using this food as bait for tasty animals. It is a good idea to create a large number of traps with bait near rabbit holes to get a stable source of meat early on.
2. Seras does not take health damage from eating damaging food. This means that spiders and the like are a passable source of meat. When you can create monster jerky and have some sanity improving clothes you can use monsters as your primary source of food.
3. If Seras stomach is filled above 145 she will become somewhat more powerful but drain hunger quickly until she goes below 130. She drains hunger even faster during the day while in this state. An advantage is that she will slowly regenerate health during the evening and night while in this state.
4. Seras slowly regenerates health at night while above 60 hunger. Since caves are considered constant night you can use caves to get your health up when no other health restoration is available.
5. When cooking try to stick to cooking "meaty" recipes such as Meaty Stew, Honey Ham, Bacon & Eggs with the crock pot. Less meaty recipes have reduced effect on Seras.

As you may have guessed this is a character mod and my first mod
Bellatrix is a Vampire Character and i plan to follow the Cliché exactly with burning in sunlight to blood lust
When introduced to the character you start at dusk that way you will not burn strait away
Bellatrix does burn in sunlight but can see when there is little light
so naturally she has night vision but not all the time on a new moon she looses her night vision ability
she can move faster during the night
all stats get a boost at night even more so on a new moon
gains hunger by Attacking Living Enemy's or eating meat (monster meat included)
(so for example no hunger will be rewarded for attacking a beehive)
bats will protect her and attack whatever she's attacking, they tend not to follow you
around so there not a follower
you will not freeze for you are already dead
Nightmare Blood -- refills your hunger and health at a high sanity cost

How this mod was possible:
Charlie was made with the Extended Sample Character Mod provided by Dleowolf!
TheDanaAddams' tutorial was also a big help in some of the scripting processes that need to be done to get her perks to work.

Basic information on the mod:
Charlie's character design was based on the designs seen in 8th William Carter Puzzle. Currently, she has two different "perks": her sanity is drained at a higher rate (x1.25) and her damage updates depending on the time of day. Currently, the rates are as follows:
This should apply to all equippable weapons, as well as disarmed damage.
Charlie has custom sounds available (meaning she gets her own voice!) in Don't Starve AND Don't Starve Together! Unfortunately, there is a problem with Steam Workshop where custom character mods with custom sound won't get added into the mod lists of players who are subscribed to said mod. So! Charlie with custom sound will only be available here. Please make sure when playing DST that all of your party has the same version of the mod! Sorry for the inconvenience!
(Note: This character will be differentiated from the custom-soundless one as "Charlie (Sound)")

By MalacathDeep in the Marshs of this strange land lives a witch called Waverly. There are some mysteries about here you might want to lift.
This mod introduces:
-A new form of a tree that is unique in the whole world and will only be spawned in Survival Mode.
-A new character, Waverly, who is a close friend to said tree and needs to be unlocked first.
-A new system of magic which will allow you to equip different spells to a wand. Resources for that have to be found first.
-A current total of 21 different spells ranging from aggressive to simply funny.
A short "How-To":
Somewhere in the marshes (yes "somewhere", that means you have to find it first, on your one, no shortcuts) of a Don't Starve world you can find the cozy place of Waverly, the arguably most friendly witch you will meet in Don't Starve. She has a small rundown house, a few ponds with lovely frogs dancing around for her and a big tree that is just to curious about visitors. Problem is, Waverly is really shy so she won't leave her house when you're close unless you make her. Above all Waverly loves this tree that was earlier mentioned *hint hint*
Waverly is a subpar insane personality. She has basically no mutual interest with anyone else. Willow loves picking flowers, she hates it. Wilson really enjoys building new stuff, she hates. Woodie doesn't like to be around those old smelly petals, but Waverly feels rather good with them. And all of our firends hate all these monsters, spiders hissing in their strange ways, hounds barking like there was something to gain from it... but even though they all want to kill her, Waverly loves them... in her own way. Her love for spiders, hounds and merms grew so strong that she locked herself up in her basement for three straight days to do some "research". Today she is a proud owner of the only piece of wood that can summon creatures to her help, at a small expense of some health. And every now and then this lousy fellow Maxwell decides to put her 200 yards away from her doorstep and talk silly things... she's not impressed.
Note: Due to the fact that ALL functionality of this mod is strongly dependent on worldgeneration it is not possible to experience it on an existing save without using the Console.

After much planning and many attempts at scripting and creating the sprite sheet, here is the fruit of my labor. It's a simple mod, but hopefully an enjoyable one.
-She takes a 1.5 increase to damage and healing effects from edible items (Or in the very least, from food)
-She also suffers from a decrease in sanity at the same rate as Wes.
She has custom dialogue and everything seems to be working so far. Play around for a bit and let me know what you think! There will be more updates for her in the future. I've got some cool stuff planned.

She's a fighter and has the attack speed and damage to show for it! She's also not too picky about the food she eats and can eat monster meat no prob.
WYNTER: the Longhair -
Health - 250
Hunger - 300
Sanity - 100
Slooow, but strong. Has a super thick coat of hair to keep her extra warm (with three sprites for each level of growth after shaven)
WEI: the Housecat -
Health - 75
Hunger - 150
Sanity - 25
Has 'nightvision', so he's never REALLY in the dark, but is neurotic and paranoid, so he has pitiful sanity, anyway, but comes a little prepared for trouble. Weak but very fast. Can't stand stale food!
- They all have a shavable coat of fur that grows back over time. Winter has loads of fur, Wisp has a good amount, Wei has basically nothing. Winter starts out with a full coat, Wisp and Wei still need to grow theirs out on new game start.
- As cats, they're all supercarnivores, which means they eat almost solely meat. They'll eat cooked meals with meats and non-meats in them, but won't eat just berries or corn or things of the like, so get hunting!
-Each have their own unique sounds and dialogue! Note: there are a couple of lines of dialogue that aren't meows (like when you click on a gravestone) because they simply weren't in the standard speech file and I need to go hunt for them to change them :U
-Future plans will likely add a handful of craft-able items, most of which are to be determined.
-If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on balancing or other additions, feel free to voice them! Irrelevant of whether or not I add any suggestions, I'll still take them into consideration and they may affect changes I add later
-I've been told that eating monster meat without penalty simply doesn't work in the base game, only with RoG, but you can still eat stale food without problem with Wisp.

By KuloslavHi I would like to introduce mod that I make with Mr. Hastings - Not Quite Pyro. Mod adds to the Don't Starve a new character - Pyro It is of course modeled on TF2 character, but he's not identical.
- Hunger 120
- Health 150
- Sanity 180
- Is completely resistant to soaking (costume and mask) so the spring will not be a problem
- Inflicts greater damage: Damage Multiplier : 1,2
- He has some own items:
Fire Axe: multi tool – axe + hammer;
Flare gun: It can serve as a weapon, or you can cause the fire with this;
Endothermic Match: It can serve as a fire extinguisher and a source of light;
Lolichop: great and so sweet weapon.
- He can't met Chester
- He doesn't wear armors and helmets (depending on the armor difficulty level)
- Pyrovision - special trait allows him to see the world in its own way.
Mod Configuration options:
- Speaking model
Normal: Pyro speaks in complete sentences.
- Pyrovision: It can be turned on and off
- Outfit Difficulty:
Easy: Pyro can wear all armor and helmets (he still doesn't like waterproof items)
Normal: Pyro can wear all helmets (he still doesn't like waterproof items)
Insane!: Pyro doesn't wear any armor or helmets

A: Pyrovision changing the graphics objects in the game. However not affect their usefulness. Pyrovision work when the character has a lot of sanity points.

A:The only things mod "unlocks" is a graphic pyro on the world map, graphic in the selection, sounds and item graphics: lolichop, fire axe and flare gun. All code and Pyro animation is my work. Graphics for match and pyrovision objects is Mr. Hastings work.

A:His situation is not clear. Although I have finished texture Baloonicorn Chester, Pyro can't meet Chester now. So far i won't add Ballonicorn until I redefine Pyro's disadvantages.

Drok is a simple minded caveman. Drok loves a good meal, he eats everything but he prefers meat over anything. Drok is also quite afraid of monster and evil things. He thinks they are connected with evil spirits.
When the time passes, Drok will grow a head full of hair. This is helpful to keep him warm in the winter, but Drok can't stay in the blazing sun in the summer with a full head of hair so he prefers to shave it in the hot summer months. The longer Drok's hair is, the stronger he feels.
Since Drok is a caveman and he always had to struggle to survive he became strong, so his attacks are quite powerful but then again, he feels stronger with longer hair. His survival skills allow him to create a useful weapon: the Throwing Spear.
Drok likes to draw on rocks, we call them cave paintings.
As you start your adventure with Drok, you will receive a Roundish Stone. Drok can use some berries, ashes and a normal stone to create some red dye. With this red dye and the roundish stone Drok will be able to paint a face on the stone, thus Wigstan is born. Wigstan has two stages, excluding the roundish stone. The further you upgrade Wigstan the more Drok will like Wigstan, increasing Drok's sanity when he is close.
Drok has a large stomach.
Drok grows hair that keeps him warm and makes him feel stronger, but overheat him faster in summers.
Drok doesn't have a big brain (low sanity).
Drok can create cave paintings.
Drok can craft a throwing spear to use for hunting and fighting.
Drok doesn't lose sanity inside caves when he is in dark places.
Drok has completely customized speech, including Reign of Giants DLC.

A test of my WIP Christmas mod! There shouldn't be any crashes or that. His stats are still being worked on, and such.
Unarmed hits are the same speed as other characters with weapons.
He swings all weapons VERY slowly, dealing much less DPS than his unarmed attacks during winter. In the summer, the Bat Bat and Spear are useless. In winter, all weapons are.
Needs lots to eat
Can eat meat and rocks (flint, nitre, rocks, gems, cutstone)
Eating rocks has a 0.018 chance to make Wurbert poop out a blue gem
Looks happy when cold, looks sad and melty when warm.
Talks to you when he's happy - because he has nothing better to do.
Regenerates 1 health every 8 ticks when temperature is below 0, loses 1 health every 8 ticks when above 0.
Can craft a hat to keep his temperature low and negate the constant sanity drain during summer.

Ever wanted to play one of those creatures that hunt you when you're insane? Now you can. Once a servant of them, but not anymore, Minari now joins the fun. As he was banished from the realm of shadows for being a renegade, he can't now walk through any obstacles so easily and will be attacked by his once-fellows nightmares if met. Yet, he is stronger than any other character and is well-suited for long walks across the wasteland.
*300 hunger with slower hunger-rate
*100 health and sanity = easy to kill and to go back into realm of shadows
*His name started with "M", as he is a renegade villain, just as Maxwel

By NergalJrHello, Klei Forums! I am a new, aspiring modder, and talented artist (from what people tell me), and a huge fan of Don't Starve. And I bring you, Endsville's very own Mandy.
Mandy is a grim, evil, hateful little girl, with nary a single ounce of fear in her entire body, and more hate in her pinky-finger than ****'s whole body. She in fact, owns the Grim Reaper himself, by earning his loyalty through a game in which she won.
Comes equipped with Dark Sword and Nightmare Amulet.
Regains sanity at night.
This is my first mod. Ever. So there may be a bug here, and a bug there. So, if your game crashes, it's Mandy's fault. But there most likely won't be crashes, since my mod does not override, or replace a single thing.
This is just a character mod. Plain and simple. She comes with her own artwork and her own spoken lines. Which is really awesome.
More to come in the near future, so expect updates or an overhaul of Mandy. So check by every few weeks.

Elinor has a Mental Disease, her sanity always goes down.
She have two personalities: sane and insane.
- Animals are not scared by her;
- She can kiss animals: each kiss result in a bit of sanity or an item drop;
- She restore more hunger from vegetables;
- Can build: Heart Shaped Gem, Heart Amulet, Love Staff, Bird Gun, Bouquet, Clothes (pink, silver, gold, wedding).
- Animals are scared;
- Cannot kiss animals;
- She deals a bit more damage;
- She's a bit slower;
- She have more hallucinations;
- She is chased by ghosts;
- Can build: Tragical Mistery Tool, Pain Tripper, Slaugh Me Do, Here Comes The Gun, Ob La Di Ob La BURN, Revolution 8, Tomorrow Never Comes.
Clothes: slows down the sanity loss.
Heart Shaped Gem: Ingredient.
Love Staff: stops enemies and occasionally make them drop an item;

Bouquet: boomerang weapon, if used against bees, it stops them and spawn a flower;
Bird Gun: turns enemies into birds.
Tragical Mistery Tool: corrupted research machine.
Slaugh Me Do: A Chainsaw. Does heavy damage and can cut trees with only one hit;
Here Comes The Gun: shotgun. Deals a big damage if the target is near. Need to reload after every attack (you can do it quick by unequip and equip again)
Ob La Di Ob La BURN: Sniper, ignite the target when killed.
Revolution 8: poisoned cake. Give it to a pig or a rabbit and see what happens.
Tomorrow Never Comes: a blue candle that lights a wide area. Attract threats and can absorb the health of them.
Medicine and Strong Medicine: Stops the sanity loss for a time;
Wedding Memories: Only one suggestion: use it FAR from your CAMP!

Adds Weston to the list of playable characters.
Weston is just a fun little character mod I thought of a while back, and wanted to see in the game. He was very close to being finished for the longest time, but I had to cease work on him due to certain circumstances (college work overload, Don't Starve deciding it doesn't want to run anymore, etc.). Since the quarter is finally over and Don't Starve is working again, I decided to finish him up and release him!
Weston's stats are as follows:
Here are Weston's perks:
+ Weston is COMPLETELY immune to overheating! Enjoy those summers without sweltering!
+ Weston is covered in sharp spines! This means that if you take damage as Weston, your attacker receives 15 damage back for hitting you! Your punches are also MUCH stronger than normal (but weapons and tools do normal damage, with the exception of one...)
- Weston may like the heat, but he does NOT like fire. He takes a whopping 3x normal damage from fire, so stay away from it at all times!
- Weston does not like the cold. Summers may be awesome, but winters will be brutal, because Weston freezes a lot faster than other characters. Watch out during the spring, as well--Don't let Weston get too wet, or he may start freezing.
- The flower on top of Weston's head attracts insects (Mostly bees and butterflies).
Cool stuff in this mod:
+ A whole new character to play as (obviously).
+ TONS of custom dialogue lines written just for Weston (For regular game AND RoG!)

Tips while playing as Weston:
<> STOCKPILE!: Weston is a unique character in the sense that he is 100% immue to overheating. Use this to your advantage. You will have a terrible time in winter, but you get THREE WHOLE SEASONS to gather supplies! Use your time wisely.
<> HUNT BUTTERFLIES!: That wasn't a joke. Weston has a unique quirk that no other character has at their disposal--being able to attract insects. Butterflies will come right to you when you're near, and you can swat them down for easy health and hunger points.
<> AVOID KILLER BEES!: This may seem like something that's obvious, but killer bees are a very real threat to Weston, ESPECIALLY in the spring. The killer bees have a MUCH larger detection range now that they're attracted to your flower. They'll come to pollinate... But will stay to sting you silly.
Supposedly, certain computers display black boxes as the player model instead of Weston's model, but I don't have any idea which computers this pertains to. These appear to be isolated incidents, and most of the time, the character should work normally.

Using Weston with the Reign of Giants DLC:
Weston was made with the Reign of Giants DLC in mind, thus he is perfectly compatible with it. Not only that, but he will work 100% with the regular game as well!

This is probably the last Don't Starve mod that I will be doing for a while, as there is a ton of other things going on right now in my life that need to be taken care of. This probably won't be my last Don't Starve mod, but it will be a while before I do another, most likely.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Download the file and unzip it.
- Go to Local Disk (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/dont_starve/mods
- If you are using the stand-alone version of Don't Starve instead of the Steam version, go to Local Disk (C:)/Program Files (x86)/DontStarve/mods
- Take the folder from the file you just unzipped and place it in the "mods" folder.
- Open the game, choose Weston from the mods list, activate, apply, and start a new game
