    Do you want jerky but you accidentally cooked all of your meat over a fire, again? Well, this mod allows you to put cooked meats on drying racks. Cooked meats create the same jerky as their uncooked variants. Additionally, jerky spoil times are now easily adjustable via the configuration menu.

    Upon death, politely asks if you *really* want to die. This dialog will only be presented if you don't have a regular resurrection method available, such as a Meat Effigy (including one on the surface, if inside a cave). Reloading a save takes you back to the last point the game saved. Resurrecting gives you the option to instantly resurrect at the spot you're at or on the next day, at the nearest Fire Pit. Both methods of resurrection give you 10 seconds of invulnerability. Being a permadeath game is a big part of Don't Starve's appeal, so use at your own discretion. Icon by @Willette.     This mod adds a Development Tool - It have been crated by Klei, to help with testing Don't Starve and RoG DLC. File "devtool.lua" can be found in vanilla game, in prefabs folder. This mod adds a remade version of it, that makes it possible to use in-game, along with couple of features. Devtool: - can be used as weapon (range: 20, about half of a screen; damage: 10000) - can be used as axe, pick, shovel, hammer and net; every action is instant - creates large light spot around a holder, or around lying spot - provides health, hunger and sanity insta-regeneration - provides heat in Winter and (if RoG is enabled) act as cooler in Summer - act as Walking Cane, adding speed multiplier (about 2 times faster than normal) - has built-in prototyper, so you can prototype stuff anywhere and anytime - if you want to build anything, provides necessary resources - act as blinkstaff (you can teleport to a chosen spot) - almost every feature is configurable in mod configuration screen I'm uploading it here as a mod, because it really helps testing mods.     Description A character mod based on Satori Komeiji from Touhou Project. Satori is a mind reading youkai. Her ability made her hated by humans and other youkai who fear their secrets being exposed, but made her loved by the animals who normally can't be understood. After knowing that her little sister is lost somewhere in the island she decided to look for her to bring her back home. Character Abilities Stats -Hunger: 150 -Health: 100 -Sanity: 250 -Wendy's attack modifier Perks -Can read the thoughts of the creatures around her. -Can tame pets by giving them food. Every pet has their specific taming item(s). -The animals don't fear her but she is not liked by humanoid creatures such as pigmen. -Has a high base sanity but loses it for hurting the animals who trust her. -Has a sanity bonus while she is in caves. Tameable Pets -Rabbit: Gives a sanity boost. Can be picked up. -Beefalo: Assists Satori in combat and protects her from any danger. Drops manure from time to time. -Koalefant: Defensive pet. Prevents freezing in winter. Drops manure from time to time. -Tallbird: Attack pet. Can be fed monster meat but doesn't like new pets. Mod's Features -Custom art, portraits and icons (including minimap and morgue ones). -Custom character strings. -Modified behaviour on several npcs. -Custom strings on several npcs (thoughts). -Custom battle AI for pets. They stop attacking their target if Satori runs away. -Hunger system for pets. You need to feed them or they'll leave her. -Custom sanity penalties. -Modified intro. -Custom music. Art: Shia Coding: Terri Satori's strings: Wally Notes -Compatible with RoG but she doesn't have any special feature from the DLC yet. -The mod is tested without any other mod activated. If you have a mod that changes behaviours/creatures prefabs it might not work well. To do -Add more "thoughts" to npcs. -Add more tameable pets. -Add Koishi (Satori's little sister) as an unlockable character. -Rewrite/modify the game's ending.

    Howdy! AmaLee here to present to you a playable character mod for Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together; Maxwell's assistant, Charlie! (If you're not sure who Charlie is, may I perhaps persuade you to take a look at the William Carter Puzzles?) This description is for all the basic stuff. I'll provide a few more tidbits on the forum thread you can find here. TheDanaAddams' tutorial was also a big help in some of the scripting processes that need to be done to get her perks to work. The text for her name in her big portrait for DST was graciously given by Jeff Agala over on tumblr, which may be found here! Thanks to The Noon Fish and Dryicefox for helping me out with her ghost and sounds! Basic information on the mod: Charlie's character design was based on the designs seen in 8th William Carter Puzzle. Currently, she has two different "perks": her sanity is drained at a higher rate (x1.25) and her damage updates depending on the time of day. Currently, the rates are as follows: Day: x1 Dusk: x1.5 Night: x2 This should apply to all equippable weapons, as well as disarmed damage. Sound Charlie has custom sounds available (meaning she gets her own voice!) in Don't Starve AND Don't Starve Together! Unfortunately, there is a problem with Steam Workshop where custom character mods with custom sound won't get added into the mod lists of players who are subscribed to said mod. So! Charlie with custom sound will only be available here. Please make sure when playing DST that all of your party has the same version of the mod! Sorry for the inconvenience! No one likes seeing a wall of text so heres the jist: Normal Form -Is relatively weak -Does not absorb much damage -Has decent insulation agaisnt the cold -Normal Walk/Run Speed -Is 1.5 Hungrier than usual Ball Form(Default Transformation is Z!) -150/150/150 Health/Sanity/Hunger -Is now more weaker -Is even more slower -Absorbs 80% damage(Can be stacked with armor) -Has higher-than-average insulation agaisnt the cold -Hunger rate is on par with default don't starve characters General Info -Can kill all small prey easily(Rabbits,Birds,Turkey, Etc...) -Gains sanity slightly faster than others -Can eat monstermeat without repercussions -Can eat spoiled meat without repercussions ALL ART IS DONE BY SILHH PLEASE GIVE HER THANKS FOR MAKING THIS ADORABLE THING! Like all my other characters, Suggestions and feedback and heavily welcomed! Problems -Try not to change into Ball form while in Ghost form. Makes you invisible. I'll see what I can do. Upcoming -Ball perks (I still don't know how to make this work) -Nerfs, the ability to kill innocent creatures gives her a bit of a head curve. -General nerfs, she needs nerfs.

Ten minutes coding and forty minutes assembling cool previews later (= time of writing), I have finished a lil' neat mod that changes the main screen's background colour! You can choose different styles in the mod config screen.

(Wilson's House With Light) Sometime Wilson doesn't sleep much, and if warm out works at night cooking, crafting and so on. The Mud Hut is craftable under the (Structures Tab) 10 twigs 10 cutgrass and 5 forest turf. The hut now has a two way fireplace good for cooking and light.Smoke has been added also. The torch has been removed.

This is due to how the save index is managed. I'll fix it if people seem to care about that. Please let me know if it bugs you. Excess presets will not be deleted automatically when number of max presets is decreased. This is not a bug, it is intended to function this way to prevent accidents. For anyone interested, feel free to copy/modify/use my mods however you wish, including in your own mods. Please include appropriate attribution with links so everyone can benefit from them.     Makes tooth traps as responsive as they were before the "All's Well that Maxwell" game update (2013-10-22), with a nearby target being checked for every 0.4 seconds, instead of the current 2 seconds. This prevents the rather common scenario of an enemy walking over a tooth trap without triggering it. Additionally, it makes tooth traps less CPU hungry by having they only check for targets every 15 seconds when they are offscreen by a significant distance*. * Put precisely, this conservative mode is enabled at the same conditions where the game freezes world activity due to the player being too far away. Both the target check delay for when a tooth trap is onscreen and for when it is not are configurable, via the options "Target Check Period" and "Offscr. Targ. Check Period". Setting the latter to "inf" will disable offscreen target checking.

    My second ever mod character, brought back to be released! Also the inspiration for my now abandoned Wurbert character. Here's a video of an earlier version by the brilliant Jon from Jardev! Writhe is one of the shadow creatures, but he was mentally challenged, and could never fit in. So the others bullied him, trying to kill him off. Maxwell pitied Writhe, and defended him best he could. As he grew weaker, his last option was to send Writhe out into the open world, as far away from the other shadows as possible. Writhe sees Maxwell as his farther figure. STATS: -Health =120 -Hunger = 180, and can only eat meat and nightmare fuel. -Sanity = 1, and constantly drains. - Short vision -Can't equip any hand-slot items due to him having blades for arms. Instead he has the armguards listed below. +Walks 1.2 times normal speed. +Teleports a short distance when attacked. +Attacks deal more damage over time. Instead of attacking once, he jumps into the air and wildly slashes at enemies. While he does more damage, this can not be interrupted and leaves him vulnerable. He also does lots of damage unarmed. Can examine shadow creatures! Eating nightmare fuel will give back: 1 sanity 34 health 6 hunger Items: Daddy's Spare coat: The dapper coat Maxwell wears in adventure mode! While wearing it, Writhe will stop losing and gain sanity during the day, and the sanity loss during night is slowed by a lot. Sack of Helpful goods: A sack that spawns next to him when a new game starts. Gives 3 charcoal, 2 meat, and the Divine-O-Pones in adventure. Divine-O-Phones: Headphones he only gets in adventure mode. Not only do they tell you where the things are, you can also make them play music by right-clicking on them while they're equipped. Rather Plain Armguards: Works as a mining pick and axe. Mines at 20% speed and chops at 30%. Very slow! Swiss Arm-y Guards: Works as a mining pick, axe, and shovel. Mines at 30% speed and chops at 40% normal. Gives an extra 12 damage to your attacks. Still very slow. Requires science machine. Kingly Armguards: Works as a mining pick, axe, hammer, and shovel. Mines at 50%, chops at 60%, hammers at 40%, and gives an extra 18 damage to your attacks. Requires Alchemy Engine Handy Man's Maces: Works as a mining pick, axe, shovel, and hammer. Mines at 70%, chops at 80%, and hammers at 60%. Gives and extra 24 damage, and also functions as a divining rod. Requires a repaired Pseudo Science Station to craft. So you need to go to the ruins! Flamey-Wamey Thingadoo: A long-lasting torch. Breaks after running out of fuel. You can also shoot fireballs at enemies to ignite them, but this uses a lot of fuel. Mole-Whacker Mollet: Acts as a very weak hammer. Can also be used to whack moleworms. and pick them up to make the rain hat. Only available with Reign of Giants. Sticky Snatchers: Act as a bugnet. Simple as that. Known issues: If you quit and rejoin a save while wearing the Divine-O-Phones, you have to take them off and put them back on for the music to work.

    “Hero in the Dark” – Is a traditional fantasy mod This mod will incorporate traditional fantasy elements and lore while retaining the artistic style and the survive or die elements of Don’t Starve. A large focus of the lore and design of the mod will be from D&D and other games/books within the genre. Barbarians, shadow knights, druids, Necromancers etc etc The goals of this mod are to make an alternate form of Don’t Starve, not to add on to its current game. We have added in creatures, events, more lvs, boss mobs, items, dungeons, unique leveling system, 12 playable character(not all characters are in yet)s, 100's of new recipes etc. Here is the first version of Beta.     Fixes the memory spike which happens when large mods are enabled, which happens due to all mod assets being loaded to RAM regardless of them being used or not. Most notably, this fixes the crash that may happen when large mods are enabled, due to the total RAM usage exceeding the available RAM (this is most notable in the Windows version of Don't Starve, since it is limited to using at most 2GB of RAM). This crash may present itself with one of the following errors (printed to log.txt): Error processing render buffer command GenerateMapor ERROR: HWTexture::DeserializeTexture failed on MinimapBG. glGetError returned 0x505or out of memorybut may also happen silently, with the game simply crashing with no meaningful information printed to log.txt. As a side effect, this fix also prevents the large slowdown in the game's startup time caused by having large mods enabled.
