I don't know who remembers Island Culinary Adventure, but I'm trying to get back into something like that again.

Sadly, Island Adventures is abandoned now, and no longer works with the current update, this means sadly my Island Culinary Adventure world is unplayable, so all I've got for memories of it are all the pictures I've shown of it on this thread.

But I'm starting something new, as kind of a new chapter in it, I'm calling it Culinary Archipelago.

I'm using @ADM's Do Your Map mod to generate a sorta seperated islands world, and are using an assortment of mods I thought would be fun for another culinary adventure, another chance to make master Warly proud!(The idea of Culinary Adventure is that I'm a budding chef, seeking to make as many different crockpot dishes as possible!) :P

Currently I'm still trying to get a world I like for it, but it'll come in time.

Heres a pic of an ocean current, crab king and nearby land. Cause why not?

For anyone curious, some info related to island culinary adventure, and this new playthrough culinary archipelago, are in the spoiler below.

The following are the same from Island Culinary Adventure.

-I start with Warly's portable crockpot, and are able to use it.
-However, I also have Warly's refined palette, and my food memory is doubled. This means 4 day food memory and can only eat crockpot dishes, Also of course, food memory means diminishing returns until after 4 days, since it's doubled.
-The goal of course is to once again fill the cookbook, including a ton of new edibles in the mod recipes tab, courtesy of @Kyno's Heap of Foods mod. I'll still do the vanilla content tho, I'll still be trying to go for celestial champion too.

I have tweaked a couple rules since Island Culinary Adventure.

-All seasons have 5 extra days. (25 for Autumn/Spring, 20 for Winter/Summer)
-My hunger rate is now 90/day, like Warly, in Island Culinary Adventure it was the vanilla 75/day.
-In Island Culinary Adventure, I straight up banned the use of the celestial portal, as well as the use of warly's spices, and volt goat jelly.
--Here is the difference in this playthrough, these are no longer banned per-se, but however I must seek "professional assistance" to be able to make spices or special effect food items(i.e. volt goat jelly, glowberry mousse, fish cordon bleu, etc.), this means I am requiring myself to switch to actual Warly to do these tasks for this playthrough, despite having access to his crockpot and whatnot, the story being I'm still a budding chef, and therefore haven't properly learned how to master making such potent dishes like master Warly can! This also makes the celestial portal more useful as well as moon rock idols.
---Speaking of Moon Rock Idols, I did tweak their recipe in this playthrough to be a little more expensive, not too much, but I thought it would be fun for it to take a little more effort to call upon Warly's professional cooking skills. Here is an image of the recipe.

I know this playthrough sounds silly, but I hope someone out there likes the idea of Budding Chef WendyTerra back for another cooking adventure. (Yes I call myself WendyTerra here, if theres a WXGlermz or a Glermzwood then darn it, I can be WendyTerra for a harmless cooking adventure.)

After my 214 day vanilla playthrough to Celestial Champion, I felt like returning to a gimmicky playthrough I really enjoyed and had alot of fun with.

Who knows, maybe I can build something fancy too while I fill out a cook book. I did like how that island in Island Culinary Adventure turned out. Shame I'll never get to see it again

So I really like Moqueca. So much so that I did this on a friend's server.

I grew crops.

I fished in swamp ponds.

I bundled it all and mentioned it in chat while I looked for an easy filler. The Warly of friends server had a response.

Warly friend makes me a stack of Moqueca.

Freaking worth it. It only took all spring.

All for my favorite dish, at least in terms of looks.

William after nearly two seasons worth of hard work for his ornery beefalo. Gotta say, it was worth it in the end. Even if taming a beefalo in heat is worse than sliding down a metal slide in the sun.

Finally gotten settled in a world in Culinary Archipelago. Decided to set up a small home on the beautiful cherry island. Also set up some food sources to maintain my 4 day refined palette, at least until I can dedicate to the rwys farming system a bit more. Might prep for bee queen already just for bundling wrap.

Getting settled into this new world was my first priority, hopefully it won't be too long before I can make master Warly proud by filling the cook book once more.

Killing Dragonfly at the end of summer, cause I wanted the scaled furnace for easy cooking.

Killing Bee Queen a short ways into autumn, cause bundling wraps will help a ton, especially with farming.

Also ridding the cherry island of an unwanted bearger, too bad she was stuck on one of the island's smaller areas, so I couldn't use her for tree farming.

Working on my home area too, dragonfly drops coffee plants in the heaps of food mod, so I guess I have speed for world travel. Although most my travel is by boat.

Also refurbished my little home a bit.

With all the big necessities out of the way, I can hopefully start working on the cook book as well as making the exterior of home look nicer.

A few screenies I took during spring of Culinary Archipelago, a beefalo herd god into a fight with guard pigs, The beefalos were killed, but Abigail and I avenged them. Ended up destroying the pig torches and set up a lightning rod, been using this grass patch when I need grass.

Also made a long series of bridges from the cherry island to the moonstone island where the grass resides, it also crosses through moon island so I can do the moon island stuff.

Moon island is merged with oasis, the enlightenment even leaks to parts of the oasis.

 

Seed is 1621896397 the only world setting edited was setting resource variety to classic.

A few more small screenies of culinary archipelago.

Spending the rest of spring repairing the celestial altar, and a bit of summer collecting the rest of the beached kelp.

Also killed dragonfly again, this fight was sloppier then last time, but I got what I was after, namely more coffee plants and gems.

Stumbled across this bloomprint, dunno how the heck to use it but it's there anywho.

And lastly, finally getting started with returfing a little, mainly paths around my home, but currently I still need more cut stone to finish the roads here. Been having a rock shortage.

Next time, more base work!
