i love dst's world generation

DST bloopers edition - or "Go home WorldGen, you're drunk":

1. a very good place for a touchstone complete with intangible pig's head

worldgen_fail_1

2. "You on a ruins-rush? Lemme *HIC* help!"

worldgen_fail_2

3. sleeping dogs in their natural habitat - caves, of course

Speaking of worldgen which got a hiccups, this is my favourite so long:

After I mined it, the pig king concealed the sinkhole from most angles. Perfect location for a base to hide from others :D

until someone realizes that there are always batilisks around pig king in the evening

I've seen a wormhole on a cave entrance before.

For when you wanna travel...but can't decide where!

I've seen touchstones in really stupid places of course, like right next to tallbirds or in the middle of a swamp.  As for the Pig King and the cave entrance..anybody else remember that picture we had here a LONG time ago that had the Dragonfly's lair so close to the Pig King that there was a lava pool _on_ his wood floor area?  I wish I could remember who posted that one, it was pretty hilarious.  And then someone else was like "No-one must know of our forbidden love!" or something...

That's one of my favourite Drunk World Gen stories, but unfortunately I have no idea where that ooooold thread is nowadays.  : P

Edit:  This one isn't as funny as the other, but...

...I thought the game _couldn't_ spawn plants on manmade (pigmade?) flooring?  YOU LIE, GAME!

And so, that flower became a protected specimen that is never to be picked...on account of Funny.  :D

(Now that I think about it, this is more like "Go home Regrowth, you are drunk" rather than orginal Worldgen, but STILL.)

...Notorious

That's just a layering issue.  The flower is actually growing in grass at the edge of the wood floor, but because the floor is a higher priority than the grass, it's visibly extending beyond the edge of its tile.  It's sort of the opposite of roads: roads appear to be narrow because they're very low priority, so everything else overlaps them.  Hold a pitchfork and you'll see.

Love how the lava pools make the Maxwell statue look like some DEMONIC SATANIC RITUAL PLACE, Jantonio. XD

This is also an oldie, and it's technically from regular Don't Starve, but...

That poor goat--forever seperated from the herd.  :(
