Who do the characters represent in everyday life and who are you?

Recommended Posts

A topic for fun, at least my fun (mouhahahha). What cliches do you think our characters fit in real life.

Ok here i go.

I think wilson is the average guy. Normal at everything.

Then we have wolfgang, durable guy, can be energetic but if you dont give him some rest or food, he has stress issues or gets tired easily. (loss of sanity + hunger gain).

Willow, well dont we all have a friends that destroyes anything? No necessarily by fire though.

Wes, well some people are fragile, doing office jobs, and not talking much.

Wendy a pessimistic friend than believes in supernatural, come on, there are tons of them.

Wigfrid, a small in-your-face person that gets to fights all the time. Probably a worker at a factory unit or something, drinking beer and swearing all day.

Wx i think is supposed to be an athlete. Starts of weak, uses some "vitamines" and hard work to become tougher in the long run.

Wickerbottom well its easy, a four-eyed smart #$% that knows it all.

Woodie well a workacholic wood harvester that just wont go godzila mode. Sits alone in the bar drinking whiskey after the hard work.

And the final two i think are the hardest.

Maxwell...well? I suppose he is the paspartou guy always preparing something and being present everywhere?? Nah i dont like it.

Webber. Hmm or i can take it literally and assume he seems like the creepy guy that has lizards and snakes as pets, or just a person with many pets, being antisocial. (hence the pigmen and catcoons hunt him. I mean any person insulting the catcoons must be evil).

I suppose i myself am wolfgang-like. Normally i am hungry and like everybody else if not more tired and generally stressed. Well i am not afraid of darkness or monsters but then again i havent seen one yet. :p Given rest and food i can be very energetic and agile, but that finishes fast and i want to regain my strength. So which one are you?

I'm offended >:c

I see wigfrid as that cute red head that your cousin brought over for thanksgiving and ends up eating all the turkey.

Wendy is a childhood friend that I grew up with. She seems to rely more on me and her sister at times and has had some weird awkward moments, but overall, she is a cool person. Her twin sister Abigail is annoying and more outgoing, basically the opposite of her sister. Those two are always together.

Wickerbottom is that know it all, basically fits her role as a Librarian.

Maxwell is that crazy dude next door that just got back from traveling the ruins and brought back a ton of Strange souvenirs, what does he do in his house? We don't know.

Wes is that quiet guy, for some odd reason..He's loved by a lot of people.

Willow to me is danger in dst, but in ds, she is bright and filled with warmth.

Wilson is that average guy in the pack that thinks he's special because he hit puberty first, but we all know that he will always be that average guy.

Wx and Webber to me are both brothers that are also both little kids that are always dressing up as their favorite thing even if it's not Halloween. Webber acts cheerful and loves the outdoors, while his brother Wx perfers the inside environment and messing around with his gadgets and doodads.

Woodie is a hard working family man that seems to enjoy working more then being at home with his family. He works on holidays and always shows up early making him the prime example of a Good Worker.

Wolfgang is that guy I knew in high school that wanted to be perfect in both body and in all his classes, but sadly he has to manage time from the two which causes a lot of stress in body and in mind sometimes, but he manages to balance everything out.

I am Wendy with a touch of wickerbottom.

For me,

Wilson is the average guy/gal. Pretty basic except some things (beard) that can help at times.

Willow is the crazy, obsessed person. She is devoted, but seems weird to others, and hence is the ''Phoebe" of the group.

Wolfgang is the jock. Eats a lot, is very strong, but is unfortunately quite dumb and easy to fool. Overall, he is a bully.

Wendy is the pessimistic one. She contemplates about the past and lives in guilt. She is kinda depressed.

WX is the robotic one. No empathy, no feelings for other people. Lives as a shell with no heart. Also, aims to be the best of the best by any means possible. Is also a little attention seeking.

Wickerbottom is the brainy one. She has loads of trivial knowledge and wisdom, shows off at times (not all the times) and is a reliable person to have in times of emergencies.

EDIT: Wes is the underdog. He accomplishes things because of others (not necessarily bad). However, he lives on the sympathy (not empathy) of others (this is bad). He appears weak and innocent but is really pretty clever without realising it.

Maxwell is the formal condescending one. He is different from WX in that he is a rich and formal person who has feelings for others in his class but views everyone else as filth.

Wigfrid is the feisty and brave one. She tackles problems head on, is a bit reckless and extreme, but is admired by others as she does what they don't have the guts to do.

Webber is the creepy kid in horror movies. He is completely normal, but something trauma caused him to be a bit different and erratic.

It bothers me that most of people's interpretations of the characters are far from their canonical behavior.

Though, it wouldn't surprise me if all the characers are anti-social loners. If you think about it, all the characters seem to people that most likely live alone and barely make any proper social contact. It would make sense that Maxwell would choose to trick lone people, because if they get sucked into another world, nobody would come looking for them.

Wendy totally remind me of my friend who keeps reminding everyone that her boyfriend died in a tragic accident and ruins everyone elses mood

Willow is totally my lil sis, she kinda wrecks stuff when she losses an online game

Me might personally be a Webber, since I own like 9 cat and consider adopting an owl later on

I always thought Wickerbottom was that super sweet, but strict grandma type of person who would always bake you cookies and invite people over for tea.

Holy ****eballs man, If Wickerbottom recognise Woodie's curse, that means Woodie might not even got his curse from maxwell, which makes my half baked theory half true. His terrible secret could've been a pretty common affliction in wherever he came from

You sir or ma'am just bought me one ticket to digging the entire speech file, pretty sure I might learn more form that.

I've come back here really late to just to correct you, no Lecture you about Webber

Webber represent the inner child that is trapped inside hmfft.. of us all.

The memory of once a boy that is insideofaspi.. NOOO!!

What I want to say is... I can't do this, All right... I just can't

Okay, I'll go look for the exit door

This might be true for a lot of characters, except for Wigfrid... I can't imagine her being a loner.... She loves the attention too much.

You too? Aww.

The characters are pretty good in my humble opinion: there's a story behind each, within each, and Klei not giving us much in terms of canon only sparks more interest. By such, I believe we ought to remember Wendy is bereaved, Wilson is a wannabe scientist rather than an actual man of any real field, Woodie takes environmental issues seriously and Willow's pyromania probably has strong roots in her orphan status. Wigfrid is theatrical, Wolfgang shows he really got around before the kidnapping, Wickerbottom has knowledge from many fields while being fairly grandmotherly and Wes has a lot of mystery in him. Webber's innocence shines through, WX hides his softer side within the chassis of cynicism and humorous bloodlust, and Maxwell... Max plays an egotistical jerk to ensure nobody sees his remorse over what his dalliance with THEM did to Charlie.

Thats not really doesn't matter though it would not be in a factor if they were taken because Maxwell's world is his world he probably got them at home or when they were secluded however wigfrid and wolfgang would differently be around people, not saying that they could be loners but they could of had a rich soical life before this happened and it would still not matter because they were taken to another world and I doubt Them or maxwell really cares what his impact there is or not from him taking them its not like you can go to the police and say yes this person is missing last time I saw him he was going through a magic portal or he returned looking a really broken after telling me he had to survive in a magical world chances are people aren't going to believe you.

I think I have something from Wickerbottom, Maxwell and Wilson. People say I'm nice, quite funny and gentelmanly. It doesn't work in Internets tho. Oh, and my university classes are based around living organisms and science.

I'm going to think of them as astrology signs.

Wilson: Libra because he's balanced, also he's smart which is an air sign trait.

Willow: Sagittarius because she HAS to be a fire sign.  Plus her lighter makes her adventurous which is something Sagittarius are.

Wolfgang: Leo because he is a fighter like a fire sign, while being full of himself.

Wendy: Pisces because she's intuitive

Abigail: Scorpio because she died, is loyal to her sister, and transformed from a flower to a ghost.

WX-78: Aquarius because Aquarius is the sign of technology, internet, and sjw.  Though he might have a bit of Capricorn or Aries with the whole "X died because they didn't do Y good enough" thing.

Wickerbottom: She's a Taurus because she is one with nature using her books to get animals and grow crops.  Taureans make great gardeners and love the arts (so reading would be something they would like)

Woodie: Capricorn because of his work ethic and he doesn't peg me as a shy Virgo.

Wes: Virgo because he's reserved and shy

Maxwell: A Cancer because he has to be a water sign.  Water signs as a whole are intuitive and they also manipulate people.

Wigfrid: Aries because of her always fighting.

Webber: Gemini because he's a kid that likes to communicate.

Her quotes on Max too are lovely.

Max's character is what I enjoy the most, tbh. For example about a Maxwell who attacked someone else/burned something(i forgot ok), "Don't ruin this for us.", you can feel like he's changing back to being a decent human being.
