KoreanWaffles
Am I the only one who gets really paranoid when I see people digging up graves? In my mind I'm thinking "Oh no, that person is digging up all the graves, how uncouth! Just look at how untidy all those dug up graves are now!" But graves are pretty useful to dig up, you get all sorts of goodies. Where else am I supposed to get desiccated tentacles from? Still, I don't like looking at all those muddled up graves. That's why I thought it'd be fun if we could rebury graves, similar to how you could bury Webber's Skull in Reign of Giants. Although, instead of completely resetting the grave, the grave would retain whatever item was buried in there. I mean, who doesn't want to dig up a grave to find that one bee stinger someone thought it'd be funny to bury into a grave? This was just a fun little idea I thought could be implemented into the game. Thoughts, Comments, Concerns? Asparagus
I like it, like your own personal stash... could be used to store items you want to be kept hidden or something... but being buried underground should have an effect on the item, say, you bury a tentacle spike, after some time, digging it up will result in a desiccated tentacle... why? Because why not?! O__O Also, if you bury a bone shard, it should give you something neat... like it restores some sanity or the bone shard turns into a trinket or a gem when it's been in the ground long enough... BiddoBams
Hah, I love it! reminds me of Animal Crossing, speaking of which, how about some pitfalls? Those would be fun when you're friends are running away from something totally not life threatening! bubben16
This would be a nice thing. At the same time, how about being able to make graves too? Would make for some nice base decorations. Im sure Wendy would like them atleast. I do like the idea, but I don't see this happening in the vanilla game. But hey, Klei amazed me enough times to know that they do unexpected things from time to time. "In the Japanese versions of the (Animal Crossing) games, Gyroids are called Haniwa, which have a special meaning in themselves: Haniwa (埴輪) are terracotta clay figures which were made for ritual use and buried with the dead as funerary objects during the Kofun period (3rd to 6th century AD) of the history of Japan." Spoiler These things. There's some dark stuff in those games, man. M.P
perhaps we could carry our or other player's skeletons and bury them in the graves for some sanity boost. Eeehhh... too much effort, rather just hammer them. Just saying, that's how things would more than likely turn out most of the time. Aaand that people could exploit it for some more easily renewable gears... although that wouldn't be so bad, actually. Perhaps with that, ghosts could act like tree guards do; attack you only if you've dug a grave near them or perhaps could act sort of like Krampus, where you have a "morality" or grave digging meter, which would go down/up if you dig up a grave and would only go in the opposite direction if you bury someone... Perhaps that kind of mechanic would work better for single player, due to the way it would boost and go down and have ghost aggroe onto you, since graves are limited. Still reading? Got your mind wrapped around whatever the hell I just said? Good In general, I would honestly like some more additions to graves. Something to do with sanity and people actually having good reasons to bury graves up more than to dig them up. Hah, yeah, just the concept of being able to bury random items in places. Not the whole grave thing.. more just holes in the ground Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/71275-happy-little-grave-diggers/#findComment-831313 Share on other sites
minespatch
I'm for the idea. If you can placate trees by planting pinecones, I don't see why the same can't be done for ghosts and graves. l96735063
If the grave needs to bury dead bones buried in the player, in order to appear as a farm as a funerary object (or Charlie to help him into). . . .What about the source of Bucket-o-poop? Because it was fun to knock out the bones of his resurrection in front of others to make the fertilizer Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/71275-happy-little-grave-diggers/#findComment-831362 Share on other sites

Need I say more?). We don't use buckets of poop because we also have chests for rot and poop that are also overflowing. Although unlike rot and manure, bone shards can't be used as fuel or anything so they just build up until I decide to just grab a few stacks and toss them in a forest. I wish I could just toss 'em into the ocean instead.
