God, I'm so excited!! I'm really looking forward to how this will plan out. Will be extremely interested to see how things like base planning will work for a map with elevation, especially long term.

New multiplayer Don't Starve, with land levels, Caves, water traversal, swimming... this looks fantastic! Just add a more dynamic combat like The Forge, and this could be a fantastic experience.

I do worry a bit thinking this game could canibalize the Don't Starve Together audience, and split the resources between both games, but I do trust Klei though this well beforehand.

Can't wait for more news!

I am impressed and can't wait to see and visit this place Elsewhere! I have to say the terrain looks so gorgeous and it does feel like a massive upgrade

With it being a new standalone game does that mean the multiplayer will be a bit smoother? 🙏
I always felt like DST was a bit sluggish and put it down to it being built on top of Single Player Don't Starve - still one of my favorite games either way :)

Wow, years ago someone made a forums post saying DST should have vertical depth. Couldn't find the post, but I guess it's somewhat becoming a reality.

The extent to which I hope this game becomes the new big Don't Starve game is so high. The amount to which I have believed DST couldn't handle the increased scope it received and how a new game can remedy that by preparing for scope from the start... this is perfect, and I'm kinda freaking out.

Newhome (if count as canon) is under Wilson

Elsewhere should be the "what if Wagstaff rule over the constant?"

It was never just about elevating land, it was simply the first step in getting more dynamic gameplay that involved having elevations in land.. for starters, instead of “Spelunking” rocks we mine open with pickaxes like DS/DST, Cave entrances can now exist on the sides of cliffs.

But I want some really wild stuff such as an underground lava biome where you have to outrun rising lava rivers to a reach a higher foundation.

Yes I know that this will effectively kill the concept of “Mega-Basing” but if you carefully read the new games description it clearly states that this time around: Even the games environment will have hazards.

What happens to Don't Strave Together and the skins I've worked on getting for years? What kind of Co op playable? Will it be another MMO like DST or something else? Can we transfer the skins we have?!
