Figured it out, you have to go this page https://fall2024.dontstarvegame.com/

 

Then you click on the vinyl record. If the browser presents you the page to link your klei account (with steam, psn, egs, Nintendo, etc.) it'll still give the  "Accessed from the wrong location" error, so you need to try clicking the vinyl record again.

It's great to see Klei doing a real Halloween update and putting in this much effort for it. So many games nowadays just add a new cosmetic and leave it at that, but we've got a new comic, new skins, a new animation, pumpkin carving, ANCIENT LORE, and some kind of weird shadow thrall thing.

For anyone still having trouble with the reward link: some browser adblockers mess with the request, in particular uMatrix spoofs the referer by default. You can disable this behaviour by clicking on the extension icon, then the three dots, then toggling "Spoof Referer header".
