So Wolfgang's teaser

The man sure loves his potatoes.

This seems to tease two things, the obvious one, a bag of potatoes, i wonder if its meant to work similar to a fridge and delay spoilage time of food items (or just potatoes who knows) 

The other one, being increased carrying speed for Wolfgang, cause you know, the Strongman.

Clearly Wagstaff is inside that bag and it is a teaser for Wagstaff being added as a playable character.

Most likely means Wolfgang can carry heavy items with no speed penalty.

But it could also be something like: Wolfgang now has to work out to be might and so he carries his equipment in this bag

Wolfgang now has an undroppable Potato Sack! Potato Sack has 14 slots, occupies body and hand slots and can only store Potato based items! (Roasted Potato, Creamy Potato Puree, Potato Cup, etc.)

Okay hear me out, as we all know do not starve is a game about colonization, my theory is that Klei is gonna go back to their route's and add the Irish dlc. Wolfgang right here is currently hauling away a bag of potatoes into a ship as the countryside starves. My question is why is Wolfgang doing this, cause he's clearly not British, he's a communist Frenchman. 

So basically this is a teaser for a new dlc, they'll probably reintroduce Warbucks.

Also I'm probably the least excited about his update. I just... don't like Wolfgang. This whole "I'm big strong grown man, but not much brain so I talk like dumb and act like child" creeps me out...

This is where my mind went tbh.

It would look really odd to see the carry animation play with normal move speed.

It does look weird, you can test it out by changing walking speed.

I feel Klei may throw us a curve ball here. He probably won’t get fighting, movement or training perks (he already has most of that) but new farming perks instead.

We all know how often the devs post unreleased content with mistakes on the forums. After adjusting the image, we can clearly see that it is a new Wolfgang exclusive tier 3 bed roll. Eat your heart out, straw roll and fur roll.

Wait, this provided me a new perspective, what if.. Wolfgang is hauling away potatoes out of the ship, would this confirm a adventure mode but for dst.

This isn't about Ireland or Klei's history of imperialism in Ireland, it's about Wolfgang feeding his comrades while fighting in the great war. The new adventure mode would be you (playing as Wolfgang) hauling a bag of potatoes through a dst themed battle field, when you get it to the destination you will exit the adventure mode world and Wolfgang would gain bit of strength. Unfortunately/fortunately, no Warbucks.

Any thoughts on this?

I don't think Wolfgang talks like he does because he's stupid, he talks like that because he's Russian and English simply isn't his native language so it's a tad broken. I can guarantee that when I was first learning Spanish, the local Spaniards thought I sounded like an idiot when I tried talking to them.
