This is so amazing, thank you Klei! I feel my game even running more smoothly now. I only wish we had an option to customize hound waves even further, I find them being a fun challenge, but fire hounds keep burning down my base, would be nice to have the ability to turn off their combustion after they die...

We've had that orange teeth design in Webber's contender skin line-up before but yea it doesn't exactly correspond to a particular creature in DST like the other three. I guess it's one of the lite design ideas the designing team likes to pull from like that flamboyant luxury fan-feather hat lineup.

Yeah, not sure what happened with the linux servers, a new hotfix is out, and that should resolve the issue however.

The original version of Billy was referred to as "she", it was an update during the Gorge event that changed it. Always did wonder why. Billy was referred to as female in multiple places from what I can remember so it's not like that was a typo.

Could actually be a Predator mouth reference. Yet I also hope it's a future mob foreshadowing.

WOW!!!!!! Update is not only out but only has dope surprises like the Wormhole skins (I have a wormhole that leads right to my spider farm so the spider skin is PERFECT) but its also out on PS4 already as well. Klei you are the best!

Time to go experience all the old year of events and fix everything wrong with my world :D wooooooo

@zarklord_klei, seems like I'm not able to install the dedicated server on version `45543` (or newer) with steamcmd on Linux, I'm stuck on `451587`. Can you confirm that the update was also published properly for the dedicated server on Linux?

This update has totally destroyed my game...... its EXTREMELY laggy and i keep getting stuck in animations - opening chester leads to an infinite loop of opening and closing him that I can't stop unless I log out. Fixing and upgrading a stone wall did the same thing and I was stuck in an infinite loop.

I can also barely walk through my base without it constantly lagging out and moving me backwards over and over.

The only things I even changed to more in world settings was fish and some of the bosses so they respawn faster. Didn't put any mobs or enemies to more and changed to year of the gobbler. On ps4 so I'll post there too.

EDIT: there might be a temporary fix in the way of pressing circle to disengage from being stuck in these loops, going to try that next time

EDIT 2: Issue persists but can be fixed by pressing circle, still annoying but no longer gamebreaking, absolutely loving the new update otherwise! Have sweeped all my Wormholes (I had exactly four on the surface so perfect!!! and one is legit to my spider area so double perfect), set up my pig, gobbler and varg shrines and fixed a ton of settings with my world I wasn't happy with.

One thing I did notice though is that I still only had one Loot Sack appear during Winter with Klaus turned to More which was dissapointing as I am trying to block off all his spawners I don't like. That being said I can just go into Winters Feast for a bit to do this instead now!!! Can also decorate all my spooky trees with hallowed nights which I forgot to do before it ended! Best update ever!!

UPDATE: Now the lag and stuttering when trying to move through parts of my base is unbearable to the point of needing to disconnect and reconnect just to be able to move around.. its pretty bad

Is this meant to apply to the "lots" and "tons" settings as well? Because that currently seems to be the case. If so, I'm not a fan of this change. I like to create challenging worlds in which the world is covered in hostile creatures like Merms and I can't see any way to do that after this update. I see the value in giving players the option to confine those extra objects to their natural biomes but it would be nice to also have the option to have them spawn all over the map, as we could before.

I'm also wondering if these options are working correctly? I tried creating a world that had all hostile creature spawners set to "tons" and, even within their respective biomes, there didn't seem to be THAT many compared to the previous "lots" option. For example, I have Walrus Dens and Tallbird Nests set to "tons" but only 3 dens and 2 nests spawned in my world (used a map revealer to check). This is the same amount of Walrus Dens and one less Tallbird nest than what's in my main game where those settings are on default. There are a lot of spiders in my new hostile world but they're mostly concentrated within certain areas in the biomes they're found in, instead of being spread across the biome. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

How about tree skins? It sounds stupid but if you're designing a base and you want trees to be a part of the design then changing the look might go a long way. I don't know if I'm just crazy but I think it's a good idea. This may work with berry bushes, grass, etc. Can you also reduce the cost of the clean sweeper? It's because it's technically a worthless item made solely for cosmetics.
