ShadowDuelist
Joe just said on Glermz stream that this will be gone in about 20 minutes, in the next build.

I was saying some of the other issues would be fixed. I wouldn't count on this one lasting too long though.

For whatever the fix is, don't forget that spider eggs/stalker skeleton/double-door-chess-pieces can all also be used to escape the boundaries with ease. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of other methods for crunching up the physics engine to do this.

Edit: nvm forget about rescue command It didn't work in the beta when I tried to use it. Perhaps '/rescue' can't recognize you being on water because the water acts like a turf. They removed /rescue from the game, but boats act as a perfect substitute to /rescue on the surface since you jump onto the boat both on the ocean tile and mainland tile. Though it could get fixed if you can't push yourself out of bounds in the first place. Though even if that's fixed, you can still do OOB kills, since Dfly and BQ themselves can't go into the ocean as they're stopped by the edge, but they will still try and chase you. Placing catapults on the boats hence lets you do an easy "OOB" kill, but this time, through legitimate means, if that makes sense. Here's what I mean. ShadowDuelist
I think the easiest way to fix items pushing you out of the map, is not fixing them. The consequence however, can and should be changed, so that instead of jesus walking, you simply drown. Also winona's cannonship new meta. YARR. Ressayez
They could add a shoreline or shallow part of the water that you can wade through—that you can’t build on, that’d fix using structures to get oob.

oCrapaCreeper
In shipwrecked, the player drowns as soon as they touch a water tile while not on a boat, regardless of how they got there. I'm sure the same can be applied to DST.

Here's what I mean. it would be enough of a fix if they just allowed airborne bosses/monsters to fly over the ocean like normal, since the loot can now stay afloat. i dont think anyone will use this strategy to kill ground bosses or normal monsters since theres better ways to get rid of them anyway
Well-met
Does this mean koalefants will now avoid the sea properly and be uncatcheable like they're supposed to be? That would be amazing.
