Terra B Welch Posted December 20, 2021 Share Posted December 20, 2021 I want to give a big thanks to @lakhnish for sharing this moon rock farming method. I needed more moon rock and didn't feel mentally prepared for the long moonstorm grind ahead for when I eventually farm the Celestial Champion, this way I can at least get Outpost Oasii-Lunari finished before reactivating the moonstorms, and that also means I can use Outpost Oasii-Lunari as a second base for when the moonstorms move to my main one. Speaking of Outpost Oasii Lunari, I spent summer for the most part fishing there, as with Winters Feast means the chance of getting festive lights, and festive lights will at least allow me to have some permenant glowcaps for now until I eventually go farm Celestial Champion. During times where I had to wait for the oasis lake to kind of "replenish* itself(to not have to wait forever between each fishing attempt) I got the wall for the second corner done. Shortly after autumn arrived and the oasis lake dried up again, I finished up the rest of the second corner. I do plan to farm more moon rock, as now since I know I have a means to more easilly amass it, I feel it shouldn't be too much longer to finish up Outpost Oasii-Lunari, though since it's autumn now the shorter nights will make it more difficult to amass more moon rock, I may wait until Winter before I finish up Outpost Oasii-Lunari, and just spend Autumn farming and filling out the new HoF cook book entries. I spent the rest of autumn filling out as many of the new cookbook entries as I could, but found I needed to get a few more resources, whicH I won't be able to get until spring. First day of Winter and I get the feastclops, I dealt with it, did my usual early winter rounds to spawn pengull flocks, then returned to my plan of farming moon rock. After farming moon rock, I made the walls I needed to finish up the walls for Outpost Oasii-Lunari, now I just wonder what I'll use the two empty corners for, I also want to build a few other things here in case I end up stuck at the oasis desert for a while, such as a garden w/sprinkler, maybe a pig farm and perhaps a tooth trap area for hounds. Terra B Welch Posted December 25, 2021 Share Posted December 25, 2021 Spent all of Winter doing more work on Outpost Oasii-Lunari, built some stuff in another corner, got tooth traps set up in case of hounds and a farming area.(I see weeds grew in it already since spring started, will have to commit Willow Main on those.) (Note: I plan to replace the 2nd wardrobe, the one near the sculpting table and cartographer desk, with a terra firma tamper.) For spring, I will likely do some farming(for cookbook reasons) as well as get more of Outpost Oasii-Lunari done. Would like to get more stone beach turf for some parts of this outpost too. (Although some of you had it MANY hours before i did. : P) Just thought I'd pop in with a nice festive retrospective of my time celebrating in Don't Starve Together: WINTER'S FEAST 2016 Three Ladies Dancing (and a Beaver Too!) 2017 From my desert-world oasis base to yours, HAPPY FROGMAS! 2018 Forgot to take a proper Winter's Feast Tree shot that year, so enjoy a quiet moment of contemplation with Holly-Willow and Bernie. 2019 Chester and Charmander the Kittykit (as well as Bird and Giant Shelter Tree) join me for some holiday caroling. ...another thing I "enjoyed" during Winter's Feast 2019. : P (That wreckage was a pig house, not part of my base.) 2020 A nice calm, festive picture for Winter's Feast, with honey nuggies and prezzies, and... ...a more ACCURATE representation of 2020 (Christmas). : P (Notice there's a present under the tree, so yes, this is still during Winter's Feast) And last but not least, I present 2021 I call this: "Christmas in Australia". Who CARES what season it is in-game, IRL it's time to celebrate! (Weirdly enough, with that skin the straw hat that I'm wearing (because of the SUMMER HEAT) really works for this look, it's like a Dickensian-era lady with her lacy bonnet.
