Meanwhile Don't Starve Together is made up of a lot of smaller, sometimes seemingly unrelated adventures, which do feed into a larger narrative but are a lot more scattered and sometimes entirely self contained. And like Adventure Time, the plot normally gets moved along all at once in a big burst (like Heart of the Ruins or Eye of the Storm) that results in some status-quo changes, but mostly makes way for more adventures with a bit of a different theme based on the plot development.

They're also both wacky comedies with lots of dark elements!
